- Royal Expert Katie Nicholl explains why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want their children, Archie and Lilibet, to receive His and Her Royal Highness titles. Following the late Queen Elizabeth II's death, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's kids are now entitled to hold royal titles, however, since their parents are no longer working members of the family, Archie and Lilibet may not become Prince and Princess after all.
I agreed that if you don’t want the responsibility that comes along with being a royal, then you should NOT reap the benefits!

You can’t have your cake and eat it too, if you want a royal guard when you come to England then you need to do royal duties. I don’t believe for a second they care about the titles… but they prob care about the police protection that comes with the titles for their children… let’s not forget princess diana had to use “private security” they were supposedly guarding her when she died. Several of the reports that were released stated the crash would not have happened if she still had her police protection. private security doesn’t have the same protocol or standards. It’s not about the titles it’s about the security..

Harry has already said he has no problem paying for security but he wants to be able to pay for police protection bc private security is NOT adequate- remember his mother died with her “private security”… They even wrote in one of the reports that they didn’t believe Diana’s crash would have occurred if she still had her police protection-because of their higher standards and protocols. Harry should be able to pay for police protection when he is in the UK. It’s cruel not to allow him to do so.. What King Charles III wants to do in his reign is very simple to understand: HRH status now, not as in the past, will go to only to the heirs to the throne and their children. So HRH From now goes to william’s children because William is the heir of Charles, to George’s children, to the children of George’s first son/daughter and So on. So neither charlotte’s and Louis’S children will have HRH title because charlotte and Louis will be not heirs to the throne but charlotte and Louis have now the HRH title because they are children of an heir to the throne. In fact also Harry now has HRH because he is a son of the king but his children archie and lilibet can’t have HRH because Harry is not an heir to the throne! It is So clear to understand! So why are they continue to be furious ? They can’t understand a simple concept, which is not linked with racism and others stuff as Meghan claims. The comparison with Eugenie and Beatrice has no sense because they have HRH because of Elisabeth who has applied an old law that Charles wants to delete from now. We have seen at least three different children meant to be Archie in photos or videos most released by the couple themselves look back and you wonder why we the citizens of the UK question who is Archie the boy at one, the boy on the beach with black hair, the boy with the beanie in Meghans arms, or the boy with the red hair. This is why it is a requirement that Royal births in line of succession are witnessed by the palace representative.

As the first child of the Duke of Sussex, Archie will inherit his Father's title on Harry's death. It is common for the hier apparent to use a courtesy title, one of his Father's lesser titles, while his Father is still alive. Lillibet already has the courtesy title of 'Lady' which is extended to the daughters of aristocrats in the UK. This is really all about HRH status which will provide the children with security protection with the cost being paid by the British public. It's a dollars and cents (or, more correctly, pounds and pence) issue, not a status issue. In my view, people living in multimillion dollar mansions in the US and the UK should not expect the public to finance parts of their lifestyle.

If Harry and Meghan have dropped the HRH title it's dropped stopped for their children as it's not there too be handed down now. Even considering the 1917 law and rights of hineritance, the HRH is simply not there now unless Harry and Meghan become working royals again.

I don’t know much about the royal family but to me Meghan looks more white than black. Like look at her close to the complexion of Harry, the difference is not much. Heck!
