What type of pump is used on heavy equipment hydraulics such as excavators and wheel loaders?

mostly, use hydraulic gear pump

Deoends of the machine.for example most of the excavators, Loaders, Graders etc use variable displacement pump. Very few (mostly small machines like Backhoe Loader) machine nowadays use gear pump.
