@@taneikaallison9899 tbh, I really don't speak on the dead, however, I truly believe it stems from thier mother's treatment of Denise early on.....I'm going strictly on how THEY (The Clark Sisters & The producers) portrayed Dr. Moss Clark in the bio pic. Everyone jumped on the bandwagon w/Mom. We have to realize, these were a group of young ladies & teenagers who were always told it was 'nasty' to get pregnant out of wedlock, "how dare you disgrace the family? Im a minister, what does it look like if one of my daughters is out there getting pregnant? Not in my house, not on my watch, not under my roof!" So with that old Southern way of raising your kids and that mentality, it's going to cause controversy, same thing would've happened if she was on drugs, Back then people in the church needed to save face, it mattered how your family was perceived. How can I get up here & direct this choir & spread the word of God, when one of my babies is pregnant? Get rid of her! She's not gonna make me look bad, like I failed. I find it hard to believe they never tried to reach out to Denise, it's definitely a deep family issue. I apologize I actually thought you were speaking about the "NO" at @4:13 that's Twinkie. You're actually right at the @4:16-4:17 mark. When I say strict alto I'm only implying ALOT of our new counsins/fans of the Clark sisters ALWAYS comments how Jackie be "killing the bottom note" when we that have been fans since the 80s knows that Jackie DID NOT sing tenor back in those days it was always Dorinda and Twinkie. Those days Jackie was strictly a "Alto" not saying she never sang a soprano part but we know Jackie and Twinkie has always been the most versatile in having to sing the other sisters parts when they were leading BUT when Twinkie lead on those days it's was DORINDA not Jackie who would always take that bottom note. Thanks @LaMaudeLewis ***Written In Respect***
Lord why did I come here tonight?! I’ve seen this clip 100 times but tonight watching Karen look at Twinkie made me think she was really feeling sorry about Twinkie’s situation and position with Dr. Mattie Moss Clark 😩😩
@@you_can_call_me_T yeah I've watched this video alot and my understanding of this is that By Karen being the baby of the family (like me last outta 7) she feels sorry for Twinkie cuz of what Mattie instilled in Twinkie . Think about it Twinkie was EXHAUSTED AND TIRED of the burden she had to carry and she wondered Was it worth it? Hence is my living in vain? No ofc not and yes it was worth it cuz look where they at and mostly importantly Mattie is proud of her"heartbeat". Hope this helps 💋😘
The anointing is real. This is so a powerful song. These sisters were and are so talented. They can hold a note. I love this song. Great performance. 💕👼👏👏👏👏
Twinkie must have been going through something at this point. Karen must have known too. It's the only time I've seen her cry and look like that at twinkie.
I was thinking that too, there was a pain in her voice and a sadness in her eyes.....and the look from karen....was one of a trial/sorrow that maybe only the two of them knew

@@princechristophermcmillon7562 that was actually Jackie on that part …
@@princechristophermcmillon7562 none of these girls wasn’t strict they switched parts I seen Jackie singing soprano at the dove awards like 3 years later
Thanks @LaMaudeLewis

Lord why did I come here tonight?! I’ve seen this clip 100 times but tonight watching Karen look at Twinkie made me think she was really feeling sorry about Twinkie’s situation and position with Dr. Mattie Moss Clark 😩😩
Same. Other people have commented saying she was looking at her with admiration. But to me it looks like pure sorrow 😢
No ofc not and yes it was worth it cuz look where they at and
mostly importantly Mattie is proud of her"heartbeat".
Hope this helps
💋😘
love Twinkie Clark!!!!
Playing the organ 🥺...gets me everytime
I CAN LISTEN TO TWINKIE MINISTER TO THE LORD BY HER SINGING ALL DAY!!! THESE GIRLS ARE THE REAL DEAL!

BEEN A FAN SINCE A LITTLE GIRL, I WOULD LOVE TO MEET THEM❤❤❤❤😢😢😢😢
Five of them sound better than 4. Their 5 member blend is dope
Dorinda’s “No, No” at 5:57 is perfection.
Twinkie was really struggling to find herself. That war cry at 5:48 🙌🏽
SMH....one of the best songs of all time.
OMG! It makes no sense for people to be able to sing like that! GOOSEBUMPS!!!!
God gave me this song this morning 💖🙏🏿🦋🎶👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾

The anointing is real. This is so a powerful song. These sisters were and are so talented. They can hold a note. I love this song. Great performance. 💕👼👏👏👏👏

Still Watching
I cannot believe I’m still watching. Like my first time watching every time!
Didn't known until I saw the movie....baby I go to work everyday listening to them....about 3rs
These ladies brought it home. The Spirit is alive - this is more than just singin!
Twinkie's part made this song
Omg!! Their voices are so amazing! Especially Twinkie’s❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥Love you guys😘
Twinkie must have been going through something at this point. Karen must have known too. It's the only time I've seen her cry and look like that at twinkie.
I just said the same thing
I was thinking that too, there was a pain in her voice and a sadness in her eyes.....and the look from karen....was one of a trial/sorrow that maybe only the two of them knew
toomuchfourU maybe this was after she sold her catalogue for a new Lincoln.....is my playing the organ in vain?
Based on the lifetime movie this is when she told them she was pregnant 🙏🏽
@@MastiffMansWife No that's Denise.
In addition to their impeccable vocal skills they are also very very pretty women!
That first beautiful singer,,, could have kept preaching to me,, That was definitely the Spirit of God,,, 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾♥️♥️♥️
Will always love the Clark sisters
I love that when they sing together they sing in this same formation to this day
The anointing that God gave their voices can be felt after all of these years even through the screen.
Who's here after the movie??? All 5 remember that
