I don't know why but somehow the storyline of Shatter Me and Lost Girls hits me deeper than any of your other songs. Like...both videos make me cry when I watch them because they're so full of emotion. There's so much fear and doubt but so much strength in choosing freedom and it's beautiful to me. I honestly have no idea what I'm trying to say, just that both of these videos touch my heart and bring out emotions I didn't even know I had. This video is BEAUTIFUL.

The reason why she left the girl in the globe was because she wasn't ready to leave. You can't pull someone out of an addiction if they don't put forward for it. The girl she took shattered herself, so she was ready to move forward, obviously the other one wasn't ready.

Riley Rossiter thats a great interpretation. I also think it could mean rescuing someone who is to afraid of change and breaking free from the expectation of who and what they should be. Thus not wanting to leave tue globe because its what she was used to despite her own agony in the situation
I was wondering why the white one didn't leave but that makes sense.
I'm just wondering if the dark queen trapped the other two ballerinas like she did with Lindsay for a second. If so wouldn't they be scared to escape or confident enough to overcome their fear... Or perhaps the white ballerina choose to be there...

Actually Lindsey lost not too long ago Gavin (her best friend) but also her father, both suddenly, and her whole album is her way of coping with the feelings of having lost two beloved persons.
Her album is about her hardships and loss and that she doesn't give up and that we all are in ,,the Arena" and deal with problems.
,,Lost Girls find a way" I see as song that she'll find a way to continue what Gavin and her Dad wanted for her : being happy and successful to live her dream.

I love how everything ties together so well, the costumes and scenery for example. The concept of going on the journey of becoming "lost" again, being trapped in the "glass" and finding a way to break away from it again was truly inspiring. I watched the whole thing and saw every emotion with it. I loved it, good job Lindsey

I feel like this is a sequel and prequal to shatter me. The begging parts where she does not have her violin take place before shatter me. But after glass shatters and the parts with her violin is after words. I feel like the ballerina in the white dress was not rescued because she was still completely believing she was happy in the music box, even if she wasn't. Also, I feel like there are probably more girls trapped in the crystal balls that need to be rescued. I also feel like Lindsey and the other ballerina will return to that forest stronger and try and defeat the witch and her nymph minions to free the other trapped girls. I also feel like Lindsey came back later to rescue the other ballerina.
I think I should write this down and give it to Lindsey as a fan gift.

The symbolism in this vid tho!
So after the ballerina shatters herself, her next challenge is to face the world. While wandering around the woods, she met some woodland creatures. The creatures symbolize ppl who fake their friendship with you then they destroy/backstab you (like how they danced with lindsey then ripped her dress). Next she came across other people who are still trapped in the globe like her before. These symbolize the ppl who make you feel insecure about the way you live now after shattering yourself. Finally she came across a witch. The witch traps her back in the globe giving her flashbacks about her unhealthy lifestyle. These are the ppl who are able to convince you to go back to your snow globe and live a sad life again. The ballerina fights it and breaks out for the second time and decides to help other ppl shatter themselves.

I just would liek to add, that the Maleficent tries to trap her again into her shell, because it was also a referrend to a save place and that is, where she wants the ballerina to go back. The ballerina is afraid and first let it happen, wants to be save after this new, terrifiyng experience (ya know, mean elfs xD) .But she also remembered, how unhappy she was in that shell, so she fought it and accepted the fact, that live can be cruel sometimes and you have to deal with it.

The witch is Lindsey herself, which probably means that part of you who always pulls you to the negativity reminding you that live seems more comfortable before, than now. But actually distorting the situations; besides the fact undeniable: once you break free, no one can imprisionate you again, not even yourself. That's why, I think, the crystal ball is cracked and is far more easy for her to break it.

Ready Spaghetti the ending could be symbolic as well. When lindsey first is with the bailarinas, she couldn't help them. But after the malifacent incident, she was reminded of her past and was more capable of helping others when they are still in the globes.

I was just about to post this very thing. This should go to the Cannes festival
HPfan 4 ever but it’s not just a sequels though. It literally shows her going through the darkest time of her life after conquering her fear! It shows her fighting through, getting through obstacles only to give up and give in to fear and to end up back where to started only realize that after she’s been through they’re still hope and even in the darkest part of her life there was still light and she could still be light others and show them the way despite of her circumstances because there are people who need her and there are people who are in her situation or have been in her situation before, and finally realizing she’s not alone. With shatter me it was really about her facing her fears, doing what she wanted and accepting heeled and not being afraid to be different or do something different.
I don't think you realize just *how* much symbolism is in her videos. It's increadable. I'm the same religion as her as I think part of the symbolisim in this is showing just how bashed we are

I'm going to be super honest, I wasn't sure if I wanted to see this music video. I'd already come up with my own little story to go with Lost Girls and didn't want a music video to ruin the way I thought and felt about the song. I decided to give it chance though because Lindsey hasn't disappointed me yet.
This music video was brilliant! So glad I watched it. It was a great continuation of Shatter Me and still had its own deeper meaning. Can't wait for the next video!

So before I started playing the violin I thought she was talented. Now, after I play the violin she is INCREDIBLE, MAGIFICENT, SUPERB, MAGICAL! Like seriously! Also the costumes! Gurl, those are just fantastic! There so fantasy will elements of darkness, which I think is gorgeous!!

Pippa87 I think the dancer she saved is a representation of her old self. So she and her new self are able to coexist. Or it's the hard truth that some people can't be saved.
I interpreted it as the girl she saved was like herself, someone who was trapped and wanted to escape, but couldn't. And then maybe after seeing Lindsey she got the courage to, while the other ballerina didn't.

So, why is the video of Lindsey playing violin at the beginning of the video flipped? It appears that she is playing left handed but at the end she is playing normally. Is this symbolic of a mirror universe or did they not think we would notice?
Christopher Begeman I'm guessing since there are shards of glass in those scenes it's symbolic.
Edit: after watching the full video my guess is that it's symbolic that during the first half of the video she's not completely free yet, but once she breaks free a second time now she's completely free.

the song is a sequence to the song "shatter me". in the story of shatter me, it tells of the ballerina inside a problem. She has been living there and have seen no beauty of happiness but she looks pretty and well posed. she then escaped in the globe and decided to just be free from the problem. but in this song, lost girls, it tells the part where the ballerina recovers from the problem. being away from a problem isnt easy. i dont know much of the story but if you watch more of here videos in her other channel she explains the story in lost girls.
It has to be. Same outfit, same hair, ballerinas in snow globes, shattered glass floating, clips from the shatter me video itself, - yeah it has to be. I think it's the story of when she finally escapes the globe. Whatever it is the viewer sees the globe to represent. I love that after she recovers, she helps another fellow ballerina escape. :)

I couldn't help but notice that some of the footage at the beginning of her playing is mirrored (she holds the violin with her right hand in this video; violinist hold the instrument with their left hand). Later on the shots go back to normal. Any ideas why?

My ten year old daughter is just starting violin and she is inspired by your music. She especially likes your Hallelujah video because you talk about your faith at the end and the medley's like into the woods.
