    In this video, you first outline WHY you should make a budget (00:49). Then you explain HOW you reach your goals via a budget (01:29). Then you compare the DIFFERENCES between a budget and a business plan (03:28). Then you explain WHAT TIME PERIOD should you make your budget (05:10). Then you PRESENT a complete budget, and show how you HOW YOU USE a budget to compare the variance of a budget to actuals (06:49).
    AT NO POINT in this entire video did you actually explain "how to prepare an annual budget for a company" like the title suggests.
    How do you actually prepare a budget?!? Where do you get p&l line item estimates from? Is each line item budget an average of the x-number of last year line items? Is it a guesstimate? What if you've never had that expense item before? Do you work back from your net profit(?)/turnover(?) goals for next year and factor each expense item accordingly? All of these questions you could have answered that relate to the topic in question to actually help someone "prepare an annual budget for their company", instead you go on wasting 12 minutes of my time on answers for questions I or anyone else clicking on this video for the title has. RUclips is so frustrating these days.
    Why did I spend my time writing this detailed comment? Well after sitting here for 12 minutes waiting for you to get on topic, I realised my time has been wasted, and so at least I could highlight this to the content creator and any other poor souls that venture here under a false pretense... I wish this comment was pinned at the top of this video, it wasn't, so hopefully others don't waste their time also on it. Empty platitudes in the comments saying "great video 🔥" are completely false feedback. You have wasted my time and answered no question of mine and others who watch this video for its titled relevance in any capacity. Yikes

      Thanks for the comments. Sounds like you might be after something more like this video giving an example of putting one together.

      This is a powerful perspective - A lot of noise about strategy and plans but no funding allocated to execution means it remains just noise.

    You mention that not all companies need a budget but successful.

    I don't understand why accounting staff need to do a budget.

    Is Doing budget meaningless?

    Is Doing budget wasting time ?

    • @RightSource
      @RightSource  Год назад

      Budgets are tool and only useful if used. Though the accounting staff prepare them to a large degree, they are only useful if the operating staff understand and use them. If they aren't used they don't add any value. If they are used, they add value.
