As a current resident... buckle in, it only gets more time consuming (80 hour work weeks are so fun). Love that Brooke talks about it and is so supportive, they seem to have found a good balance. It can be really hard when your job takes so much time and emotional energy and your partner doesn't get it, it makes me so happy they are making it work :)
i feel you on the relationship chat bc my relationship is medium distance so when we first started dating we saw each other every week but then when we shifted to spending some weekends apart i had to remember that this was not a reflection of how our relationship is going or how we feel about each other, but it’s actually healthier & makes the time that we do spend together all that more special & just knowing that it’ll all be worth it one day when we can spend almost everyday together!!
I love that you talked about Ben being in med school! I am in nursing school right now and it is really hard to find a balance for sure! I love hearing your perspective because as the person in my relationship who is super busy with school it can make me feel incredibly guilty but just like you said these were goals long before my boyfriend came into the picture. I think it really is about the little moments together during this time for sure!
My husband is in medical school and it was definitely a shock at first. We went to undergrad together and always spent time together so it was a huge shift! We just always have to remind ourselves it will all be worth it in the end! Best of luck to y’all! ❤️
Med school is a BEAST. My sorority sister is in her second year. She barely has time to shower. It’s a commitment. Everything else has to take a backseat.
My partner of 6 years is in a different line of work but he is usually only home for one week per month from November to April. I think navigating relationships with someone who has an extremely time consuming job can be difficult early on but it is SUCH a blessing in disguise long-term. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder and I truly believe that. It makes for healthy space and healthy together time because you’re not breathing down each others neck every day. You also learn to deeply trust and respect each other in a way that I think isn’t even possible when you’re with someone 24/7 because your judgement is never clouded by whether or not you’re having to compromise your own freedom for them.
Can you please do a q&a with your mom regarding how she is so successful, time management, all her hair and skin care product tips. Trying to set my life up for the future me!

First of all love you. Second of all- this relationship chat is so needed. I feel a mix of guilt with my crazy tv reporter schedule and also like anxiety with myself and our schedules not aligning and wow the timing of this couldn’t have been better. I was already so excited to watch this and wow I’m like so happy I did.

I’m in med school now, in my fourth year, my husband is a nurse and even though we are both in healthcare it is still hard for people outside of medicine to understand, very draining but it is worth it ❤
As someone in law school I constantly feel soooo bad that I can’t make time for my boyfriend and friends but it truly is an investment and the right people will see that! He’s v luck to have you

My partner is in his first year of med school too! We went from moving in together right when covid happened and spending every moment together, to having very demanding schedules. It’s all about balance and making intentional time when we can for us!
I’m in med school and my boyfriend and I are long distance and honestly one weekend a month we see each other and we are so present with each other and it makes it all feel worth it!
i’ve been reading the Thursday Murder Club series, it’s so good if you like mysteries!! it’s about some older ppl living in a retirement community in England that solve crimes together lol it’s fun and interesting!

It is not THE book to start reading fantasy. I started reading fantasy and enjoying it when I read "RED QUEEN". That book made me like fantasy and wanting to read more of those worlds.

Read six of crows for fantasy! Lots of action and adventure with found family! So so good!
My husband and I went from always being together in college to long distance during medical school (took so much adjusting- was so difficult!) then we got married his first year of residency. Fast forward 3 years later and he has 2 more years of residency left. Residency length varies on specialty. It is such a long and exhausting road but it definitely gets easier. You sound so patient and understanding of his busy schedule. I definitely wasn’t his first year of med school smh 🤣.
ACOTAR and ACOMAF put me in such a reading slump. I read them because everyone said they were so amazing, but I just could never get into it. It took me like over a month to read two books when I usually read 5-6 books/month.

I am reading the Throne of Glass series, by same author of Court of Thorns & Roses, it is really really good. From what I read online, most readers prefer Thone of Glass. I recommend it.
I don't deal with someone, but someone has to deal with me because I am in med school! lol and yeah, it can be tough trying to get a balance between studying and making time to spend with my significant other ❤

The most recent book I read was “Bones and all” by Camille DeAngelis. It was pretty good and there’s also a movie based on it, with Timothée Chalamet as protagonist.

You’re so beautiful & inspiring. I figured you’d wind up wearing the long sheer gloves. 😊 It would be hard to be in a relationship with someone in med school due to how much they have to study. I’m married to a fire chief-paramedic and that is hard (long hours, stress, danger, etc.). The sushi looks good. I notice sometimes you walk around NYC alone-that is brave! It looks like such an interesting place.

I just read City of Girls. I was waiting for the whole book for something grand and explosive but was let down by the plot... I gave it a 3/5. Maybe reading thrillers with big twists has raised my expectations of romance books. IDK wasn't my fav.
I recommend reading The Love Of My Life by Rosie Walsh! Thriller with a great twist!
