Hi Brooke! Don’t apologize, medical things can be very scary and you’re not alone! Im 27 and have had a few abnormal lumps in my breasts too. Ended up having to get one removed for biopsy and came back benign - what I’m trying to say is that these things are common in women and this community has your back and we will be praying for you! 💛 you’re not alone in this journey 😊
I've been watching your vlogs for a few years now, and have been so impressed with your growth as a woman in this crazy world. I'm old enough to be your mom (so I'm going to sound like one now), and I just want to give you a big hug. No need to give you medical advice. That's what the medical professionals are for. Lean on your mom when you have those moments of doubt. She will ALWAYS have your back. Just know you are strong, and those who watch your vlogs appreciate and support you. ❤
Never apologize for feeling sad! Also I love that your mom wanted to go to support you and walk you through the experience. It’s seriously such an example to the women watching your channel. ❤
I had a similar heath scare two months ago. You feel like your whole world stops. The waiting is absolutely terrible. Surround yourself with people you love and try to keep busy to help pass the time. Answers will come! Praying for peace of mind and a calmness while you wait, and that whatever it is they found clears up and isn’t serious! 💜💜💜
I have been through the exact same thing! And it turned out to be fine, thankfully. It’s very normal and I went through the same emotions. My best friend told me “Google is for recipes, not diagnoses.” So true! I need it needlepointed to hang on my wall. lol
Aw girlie! Please do not apologize because you think you sound silly or dramatic. You’re entitled to feel how you feel - it’s scary when you get news like that! Sending you all of the good vibes that all is well (as I’m sure everything will be ❤️)
I work in a pharmacy if you actually call the location you got your shot they are able to pull up the details of which arm you got your shot in to put you more at ease!
This vlog has been my favorite. Not because you cried but because you interacted more! All the best of your Boston vibes combined with your growth as an NYC woman living her best life. Sending you love!
Big of you to share such a vulnerable moment with us Brooke. Waiting for results is definitely difficult. Praying for you, I'm sure it's all okay, just keep taking care of yourself the way you do. Sending warm hugs 🤗✨
The doctors giving you time to see if it goes down may be a good sign, because they probably don't think it's malignant. My mom had lymphoma and they caught it early, but she declined really quickly despite them fast-tracking all her biopsies and scans. If doctors are willing to wait things out with you, I would try to stay positive even though it's hard and stressful
It is extremely scary! I just went through a very similar process, and of course jumped o the worst possible scenario, stay positive and remember that if they were concerned about it being something more severe they would be doing more than waiting for it to change in size!!
Hi Brooke, it's a natural reaction to be emotional when you hear anything negative especially when it's our health. A good cry and reflection always makes you feel better afterwards. Praying and thinking of you while you work through this problem. I'm sure all will be okay, just think positive thoughts and tell yourself that its all going to be okay and it will just be a glitch and nothings wrong. Sending Love, positive vibes and light. We here for you and love you loads. Sending a big hug for comfort all the way from South Africa.
Oh friend!! I know this feeling ohh so well. I found 2 lumps in my breast a few years ago and had them scanned every few months for several years and now yearly. Let me tell you being a nurse I definitely spiraled so it’s okay to spiral, to cry and be upset and worried. This is all so normal. These are common but it’s SO great you have an amazing provider who wants to dot all the i’s and cross all the t’s cause some women so often are left unheard by their providers. Round of applause for taking control of your health and for having a great healthcare team! Positive thoughts and prayers your way! ❤️
Hey girl, thank you for being open and honest with us! Praying for you but I know everything will end up being okay 💕💕💕
I’ve been watching you for a long time Brooke and I really look up to you as a young woman. I’m proud of you for willing to share vulnerable moments with us, please take care of yourself during this waiting time and always. Love you girly! 💜
Your rec of tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow is making me buy the book! Haven’t bought a physical book in months ❤
Hi Brooke, I hope you feel better. I am so sorry. I am the same way with health stuff, especially if you have any anxiety, health issues really get the best of you. I hope your results come back clean and do not apologize for dealing with this situation so maturely and still embracing your life with such gratitude.
I’m a nurse and whenever we give vaccines we document which extremity the vaccine was given in. If it would alleviate some stress until your next scan you could call the place where you got the vaccine and ask them to look in your chart to see which arm was documented.
Sending you love❤ The same thing happened to me after my Covid shot- my lymph nodes were super enlarged for about 6-8 weeks after getting it! As someone with health anxiety I know how scary the unknown can be but sending you big hugs and I’m hoping everything works itself out do
Same! I always get shots in my dominant arm and noticed it right away. Took forever to go down. I am supposed to get an ultrasound also.
i have a swollen lymph node from a sickness years ago - got all the tests, got imaging/CT scan done, they determined it was just swollen and nothing concerning. seeing nothing’s changed for years since, they were right! it was so anxiety inducing going to all the appointments and specialists, and ultimately not getting a firm answer other than “it’s probably nothing”. i feel you!! 🖤
Prayers and positive energy only ❤️ everything will be okay ❤️
good that you talk about this kind of stuff as so many people experience these healths scares or ongoing health issues. having chronic issues myself, its important is not to ruminate over and over thoughts and know that the health systems are good in our developed countries.
Anything health-related can be super scary and you are so valid in that!!! But everything will be okay 💗
So proud of you for sharing Brooke, you are absolutely not alone. I was 21 and found a lump in my breast (luckily I was fine and it was able to get removed) but it’s absolutely a scary moment and something we need to talk about more because it actually is so common. Especially as young women, we don’t think we’ll be affected or we’ll be immune, but it’s so so important to keep your health top of mind. And you’re so brave to bear your heart and tell us what’s happening. Thinking of you and letting you know we’re all here for you ❤ thank you for talking so openly about it.
Health stuff is so scary! I have to do a laser treatment on my cervix because they found pre-cancerous cells. Remember that it’s so good to catch things early even though I’m sure it’s fine! You got this girl ❤️
Hi Brooke ❤️ it’s okay to be scared and uncomfortable with what is going on! I had a similar situation where I did mammogram and they found an enlarged lump on my right breast. They gave me an option where I can either wait 2 months and get another scan or get scheduled for a biopsy. I ended up getting a biopsy due to my anxious mind and it came back negative. Just remember that a lot of factors can play into your lymph nodes getting enlarged and it’s not always cancer.
You’re strong and you got this ❤🎉
Brooke, do not apologize and being so open and transparent is incredibly strong of you. To keep it short, at age 27 I found out I have the BRCA2 genetic mutation which WILDLY increases your chances of breast cancer, so I had a preventative double mastectomy. BUT, before I had surgery I had three spots come up on a mammogram so I had to get an MRI guided biopsy on all three spots. It was terrifying, so I understand how you feel. Everything was FINE! 🎉
My best advice is, don’t put too much energy and attention to anything until you know more. And you are exactly right, finding out you had the spot and getting it checked NOW is the BEST thing you can do.
Bravo to you for listening to your doctor and taking the initiative to get checked out. Will be praying for you! 🫶🏻💗
Ilysm Brooke! ♥️🫶🏻 you’re in my thoughts and prayers
brooke! you are so strong for sharing what you’re going through. sending so much love your way, i’m sure everything is just fine and it’s just out of abundance of caution. you’re a healthy girl! 🤍
Hey Brooke, thanks for sharing this for your viewers! Just turned 30 but when I was your age I had a swollen cyst on my breast that I convinced myself was cancerous, only for my doctor to tell me it was nothing serious. But that fear is (unfortunately) part of womanhood and I think your transparency about that, and your encouragement to others to get checked their breasts checked, is a really admirable given your platform. Hang in there! Sending support from Chicago
Thank you so much for sharing your reaction to your health scare with us. I went through a similar health scare a few months ago and it was such a terrifying / emotional experience. It was so relatable/therapeutic to see that other people have similar health scares / similar reactions. You're not overreacting, you're not alone, and you are going to be more than okay
So sorry Brooke! My doctor found a lump in my breast a few years ago and I felt the exact same way as you do now. Luckily it turned out to be benign and I’m sure the same will happen in your case. Your feelings are so so valid, sending so much love and positivity your way.
Ugh, Brooke, I am so sorry. I know how scary these types of things can be. Sending you all the love & prayers ❤
Thank you for sharing because you didn’t have to. Appreciate the vulnerability 💕 praying everything will be ok!
I once had a cervical cancer scare and had to get a biopsy done. I understand how scary it can be waiting for results. Wishing you the best ❤
Been there. Done that. And it’s the Scariest feeling/longest wait… & I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through these things as well. It’s a very uncontrollable feeling and I’m praying for you. I hope it’s okay. Proud of you for being on top of your health though! ❤
Oh gosh you made me cry too! I know it's easy for us to say but you will be fine, just try & take it one day at a time, easier said than done I know but you will always have our support ❤
you literally look bomb with a bare face. Like you look glowy and your features are naturally balanced, it really works. I have gotten used to going out and about with a bare face recently and its helped my skin so much! I usually have some sort of noticeable breakout on my face BUT i've been refusing to put makeup over it and I'm getting them way less often
I totally understand the feeling! I had an irregular Pap smear and I had to go back to the OBGYN for a biopsy. I was freaking out and crying when I got the news. Thankfully my mom also helped me through the anxiety of it all. I hope you’re feeling better!
Thank you for opening up about your health! I had a similar situation and had to actually get a lump biopsied and everything ended up fine, it’s definitely more common than it seems so it’s important to talk about it! Doesn’t make it any less scary but good to know you aren’t a lone ❤
Hi Brooke! everything will be okay, thanks for being vulnerable and advocating for getting regular check ups! preventative care is so necessary and not talked about enough. sending you love🫶🏼💗
Hi Brooke! I’m 21 and had a very similar scare 2 years ago. It’s super scary and your feelings are totally valid. Sending love ❤️
Omg please do the virtual book club!!
I love that you're open about that stuff and it doesn't make me feel alone. Its not the same but a couple years ago i had a situation happen where taking too much advil from an injury affected my eye and i had a big freckle in my eye i'd never had before. I had to go back 6 months later to get it checked and i was emotional. Thanks for being open!! Medical sh*t is scary and we are all human. No need to apologize! its why i watch you! XO
Everything will be okay and it's normal to be emotional about the unknown. I have been part of a high risk breast health clinic for the past 12 years because of dense breast tissue. I go for twice yearly screenings and try to remind myself that these are part of my self-care and although anxiety provoking, are necessary. Even though your anxiety wants you to google things trust your intuition that it is not what you need. You have a great support network of people in your life and they will be there when you need, as much as you need.
I completely know how you feel and had a similar scare a few years ago. It is so scary especially because we are so young. you're not dramatic and don't need to apologize. This is so normal for women to go through these things. The chances of this being something serious are slim. Sending you so much love and comfort!
Brookie thank you for being so candid with us. Everythingwill be ok♥️♥️
Thanks for sharing - I'm going to get blood work done this morning and it's always the not knowing and waiting for results..I feel you on that. We CANNOT let ourselves go down the Googling train 😖Sending good vibes your way ☀
Manifest that you’re fine and it’s not cancer.
I found a lump and had a gut feeling it was cancer. I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer at 27. From the start of it all, I began manifesting things like “I won’t have to do radiation,” “I’m going to get this over with and never have to deal with cancer again,” “I’m going to have a complete response to the chemotherapy.” Sooo many other things as well. I’m 28 now and had a complete response to chemotherapy, I’ve had 1 of 2 surgeries so far, heard the words “you’re cured,” I don’t have to do radiation, and I’m continuing to manifest that I will never have to deal with cancer ever again.
There’s so much power in positive thinking and manifesting.
You’re doing amazing, you’re strong, you’re beautiful, and you’re happy and healthy💗
Sharing your experience really helps others. No need to apologize.
Thinking of you and praying for you, Brooke! Keep your head up and keep being positive, I'm sure everything is ok
Hey Brooke all I have to say about the medical stuff is that there are so many wonderful and experienced professionals out there and to trust them ❤ thinking of you as anything medical is scary
I hope you can see from all the women commenting they have had the same experience you have with the health stuff. I’ve had 6 biopsies in both of my breasts, and it turned out ok but I did cry the entire way on the drive home.
Everything will be ok 🙏
Hello. I’m quite a lot older than you and had my first mammogram and the nurse called with my results to tell me that there were some concerns related to the mammogram results on each breast and needed a sonogram. For five weeks I stressed and cried and didn’t sleep very much. However it turned out to be alright. Please stay positive and either way you’re doing the right things to attend to your health. Inconclusive results seem to be kind of normal when you have your first breast exams while the drs are trying to understand your breast structure. I pray for your peace and great results !!!
Yes to the book club! Discord would be a great place to host a book club!
Brooke, I’ll be praying for you 🙏🏼 Health is super important so your emotions are valid
The same thing happened to me bc I wore sports bras too often outside of working out!! It’s okay and I hope you feel better :)
It’s ok, it is scary!! Feel your feelings girl
My first time watching onec😂ofvyour vlogs and I really enjoyed it! I will have to check out that book you recommended. Try not to worry about your health. Easier said than done, I know. My prayers are with you ❤
Brooke I am thinking of you and appreciate the honest insight you gave us 💗 you are so incredibly strong and will get through this! Sending lots of love your way!
Hi Brooke! I have been going through a similar health scare as well. Just know that, you are not alone and whatever feelings you are feeling are valid. Rely heavily on the people that love and support you. You are strong and I am sure everything will be okay! We love you ❤️
Thank you for sharing, Brooke! I have such terrible health anxiety and I feel this completely. Your emotions are so valid.
Hi Brooke :) no need to apologize for showing your emotions, I have gone through something similar and it can be scary. Sending you all the good vibes. We are here for you.
This exact thing happened to my mom last year…after she got her second Covid shot she went and got a mammogram and found a swollen lymph node as well, but it ended up being from the Covid shot thank God…it was still very scary though so I feel you on what you’re going through. Thoughts and prayers that everything turns out okay! ❤
Girl seeing you so scared about your breast scare made me want to give you a hug 🥹 love you so much!!!! Pls remember we are always here for you and you can be as vulnerable as you want always!!
You can't help but worry having to wait to find out the issue. It's super that you took your doctor's advice and had the sonogram done. Also, using your platform to urge other young women not to avoid their exams is great. I'm an old lady and I still don't like going. Take care Brooke...you are a lovely and strong young woman. You got this! 💐❤️
Hi Brooke!! Sending you love and praying everything is okay.
If you call your dr office or the pharmacy where you got the flu shot they should be able to tell you which arm you got your vaccination in, if you want that information.
I have really bad health anxiety so I would be a mess too. Your feelings are valid. ❤ love you!!
Brooke! I have had several benign breast cysts removed and while it’s definitely scary it’s very common sometimes for young women. Hang in there and rest! ❤
I KNOW you will be fine and I will say a prayer for you. Thank goodness your mom was there with you, we are never too old to need comfort and reassurance from our mother.
Hugs to you Brooke! Thank you for being so honest and sharing with your viewers - we all have or will go through some version of this someday. Hang in there!😊
I had a swollen lymph node in my armpit and freaked tf out. It went down in two weeks and everything was fine! I think I had a little virus that my body was fighting but I absolutely spiraled. You got this!
Love you Brooke! Everything will be okay and you have the best support system! You will get through this ❤️
Thank you for sharing about your health. It’s a good reminder to be thankful every day. I hope your lymph node is all ok when you go back for the check! ❤️ excited for the book club 📚📚📚
Brooke I’ve been through similar! you are going to be okay. I had the biopsy and it came back okay. I was scared too. My mom didn’t come but I totally remember calling her and crying in Columbus circle over it. Thinking of you ❤.
You sweet girl.. I am so sorry you are upset and going thru this! Stay strong and prayers are coming your way 🙏 being scared is completely normal! ❤
Hi Brooke! Thinking of you and sending love💗💗 thank you for sharing your experience
I’m so sorry you are going through this! I actually experienced something very similar and everything ended up okay. But don’t apologize for being emotional girl, it is definitely scary! ❤️
Brooke - you are perfectly allowed to freak out. Uncertainty is terrifying. I would be the exact same way. Having said that - this really is common. I know three women your same age this has happened to. All had a logical explanation. Yours will too. I’m confident of it. You put so much of yourself “out there “. And believe me, it helps. I feel like others like me will come forward and let you know it’s going to be ok. I know you’re scared. But this internet stranger 100% believes everything will be ok.
I am so glad you took you sonomammogram at such a young age. Thank you for sharing your experience because I think many people take their health for granted, also, sometimes we feel and look fine but actually there is something wrong with us. I hope you will be fine. Take care! ❤🎉
please do a book club!!!! i love all your book recs 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
Hi Brooke just sending love, I had a similar health scare a few years ago where I found a lump in my breast, it ended up being totally fine but don’t apologize for being scared and emotional. It can definitely be overwhelming!
Brooke! I had the same exact thing happen with my boobs. I am a bigger chested girlie too and my gynecologist had me get an ultrasound of my boobs because I also have dense breast tissue. They found a lump in my boob and it was TERRIFYING. I was so so so scared. They made me wait about two months and I went back for a second ultrasound and it was still there so they biopsied it and it was literally just fatty breast tissue. I then went off of my oral daily birth control and got an IUD and it went away! I know it is so sobering to be confronted with the possibility of something drastic being wrong, but I promise it will all workout. It will all be okay! I am so grateful that you shared this, I know it is so hard to talk about and it is harder to think about, but you are so strong for doing it. I am so proud of you! You're being so proactive by getting ultrasounds and seeking medical attention and that is the best thing that you could be doing. Love you!
I had a skin cancer scare this summer!! We are all here for you 🫶🏼🥰
I love seeing your mom in these vlogs❤
I think it’s easy to say “Don’t worry” but the truth is that your fear is absolutely valid. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019 and now “cured” or “no evidence of disease”. I’m hoping you are just dealing with some lymph node residual, swelling from the flu shot. Hoping all the best for you! XOXO
Hi Brooke! I just want to say that I really feel for you because health things can be SO scary. I had a similar thing happen- it ended up being from a recent vaccine, but the waiting and anxiety is so real. Hang in there ❤❤❤
I’ve been in your exact shoes with the same health scare. I felt the same way as you. Thank you for sharing with us so we know we’re not alone! Will be adding you to my prayer list. ❤️
Hi Brooke! I went thru the same thing last year and these emotions are so normal!! If gives you any peace at all, my ultrasound tech told me that if my doctor thought it was really serious, then they wouldn’t have waited to observe it (they would’ve done a biopsy immediately!). Waiting is the worst part though and it can be very scary, but just trust everything will be okay. Being proactive about your health is the best thing you can do, so you are definitely doing the right thing. Thinking of you and hope you don’t stress too too much ❤
Hello Brooke, I'm going through something similar. I went for my first gynaecologist visit. And they found something... I'm waiting for the results of my biopsy. And this is really scarry. So, it's totally normal to feel emotional. I'm sure it will be nothing, take care! I send you all my support. Thanks for sharing❤
Sending so much love ❤ you’re totally validated in how you feel. It makes me so sad to see you so upset 🥺 xx
Praying for your health
I would absolutely love to do a book club that sounds so much fun
hey Brooke! i used to have a lump under my armpit when i was like 15 its really common. For me it was caused because i shave, they usually have to remove it like cut that part out. I never got it cut out because over a couple of months it just goes away. You should be fine! dont worry!
Great to see you last week and sending good vibes! 💖
I have never met someone who had the same birthday as me!!! That's crazy. Aries QUEENS
I’m praying for you, thinking of you, and sending love and positive vibes your way💗
Sending you so much love Brooke ❤ everything will definitely be okay ❤️
Praying for you Brooke 💗 sending you all the positive vibes!!
Hi Brooke good morning happy Tuesday morning and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
You got this Brooke! It is scary to have to go through this, but everything will be okay ❤
Sending you all the good vibes!! Hoping everything turns out ok. Medical scares are never easy esp when you have to wait. Tomorrow, Tomorrow and Tomorrow is a great book. If you want a immersive emotional book but with also light moments, i'd recommend Between Hello and Goodbye by Emma Scott. Its amazing.
