Pred has multi millions in backing also ar end of the day gamers don't care how or who made the game if the game doesn't get adequate support the players want
Let's not say Predecessor is an utter underdog here: It is a _Complete_ game unlike Deadlock, with an existing fanbase, Full customisation and monetisation already in place. Gameplay-wise I think there's a pretty clear distinction between the two -- most players are going to strongly prefer one, not vacillate between them.
I've never played a MOBA before because I wasn't a fan of the camera angle / visuals, but Predecessor visually is more satisfying. I started playing Pred to learn how to play MOBA's to prepare for Deadlock, but even after getting invited to play I haven't even tried Deadlock yet because I've been so addicted to Predecessor. Really would love to see more of Pred on your channel.
Totally agree I’d love to see fruit play more but if the desire isn’t there for him I wouldn’t be upset. Deadlock and Pred play very differently, Pred is more of a traditional moba while deadlock is more hero based shooter with Moba aspects. Everyone has a preference between those two, for me personally I love Pred the timing of 1.0 isn’t great with the deadlock release and Smite 2 going into 24/7 alpha. I am concerned for the games future but time will tell

Paragon was one of those hidden gems that after it was shutdown no other game could really recreate that feeling, Deadlock has been doing an incredible job and the game isn’t even out yet and while ima continue playing it, watching predecessor gameplay I do really love the character designs WAY more then deadlocks and while it might be an art style thing characters like narbash, revenant, severog ect are just so cool and no one really captures that feel in deadlock
Definitely will be here for the long haul the ceo said they are primarily focused on the longevity of the game and for it to still here in many years to come
this game is honestly really solid. i have ~600 hours in it, and its much more attune to a real moba compared to deadlock. if youre on the fence its free to play, so try it out!!!

@@mechanicalsilence1 i actually think predecessor does this pretty well. theres no sky box or wall barrier so lots of characters (dekker, kallari, aurora, rampage, feng mao, etc) can jump over any wall they see to set up for cool ganks and outplays. plus with the blast flowers allowing ability usage during the boop, you can do some pretty rad stuff while mid-air.
Predecessor is a GREAT game I have never been in love with MOBAs but this game has turned that around I have played over 150 hours and it keeps me engaged and the gameplay feels so smooth for the most part it needs more players so thanks for the game play!!

Honestly, the death of Battleborn is probably the most devastated I’ve been in gaming. I’m not someone who has a pc, so no deadlock. I want predecessor to succeed but I bounced off it. RIP Battleborn
I enjoyed so many characters in Battleborn. It's such a shame they never made a ranked mode. If they did, I wouldn't be surprised if the game was still around today.
Predecessor really does look well built and fun. I hope it finds its fanbase and maintains a solid playerbase because it's cool and the devs have done an amazing job. But MAN, they got shafted again. First Fortnite, now Deadlock. This game just can't catch a break.

i will say with my friends we have been playing predecessor in the beta for a while and even with deadlock being out we still find ourselves coming backa nd playing pred for hours! i really hope you will continue to learn the game and i know playing multiple mobas is very time consuming but i'd love to see you more on this game!

The best way to learn a moba is find one or two champs you like and play one role. You can learn the game itself much easier if you aren't also playing a new character every other game.
@@SmickyD That’s a good idea. So far I’ve adopted the opposite philosophy. I’ve played maybe 20 matches and try to pick something new (lane or character) each time. Honestly the hardest thing for me right now is the item system. Trying to read a paragraph of different color text and not be idle in spawn stresses me out.
Paragon was a part of my childhood. Then Fortnight became a thing and shot the servers down. I want Predecessor to succeed, but I really enjoy Deadlock since most of my friends play Deadlock and it manages to scratch that itch perfectly. I will stick to Deadlock since I also really like the movement there and will have Predecessor there when I want something a little different. I hope you will make some Predecessor videos but I probably would enjoy the Deadlock videos more.
Predecessor is bringing out new hero's that will be expanding more on the movement in the game over the next few releases, the next original being released October 1st :)
One thing I hope Predecessor adds, coming from Deadlock, is the 'browse build' feature. where people can find builds others made with a click of a button and well...make it on the game.

Ever since Paragon shut down smite filled the whole paragon left, But the moment predecessor Alfa came out I didn’t hesitate to drop years of smite just for this game. I will stay loyal !!!!!!
I just tried it today for a couple of games! I haven't really played a moba before so I like how this game splits the lanes into the different classes and generally tells you what to do. Also its on console so thats a plus
Important note; Predecessor is FULL cross-Platform, PS5, PC & X-box can all play together seamlessly, Deadlock is PC only so only high fidelity moba on console is predecessor ❤ ( Free-To-Play ) + advise the AI 5v5 mode to learn map and abilities in a more relaxed environment 😊 + Brawl is quick and fun mode
The real reason games blow up is based on content creation from streamers. If big streamers would have tried pred out and hyped it up (lying or not), then put out gameplay every once in a while. That would increase the numbers more than anything. With that being said thanks for covering the game fruit
Here's the thing about Deadlock: Deadlock is what it looks like when a massive studio says "What if we put moba elements in a hero shooter?". Paragon answered the question of "What if we made a 3d moba?" They are very different games and I feel Deadlock appeals to more people as it is more similar to Overwatch than Smite while Predecessor is the other way around. I prefer Predecessor as I have missed Paragon since the servers when down and I never much cared for hero shooters in comparison. If you prefer Overwatch to Smite, then Deadlock is for you.
I agree. I cannot click with Deadlock. The map is messy and while the characters are interesting their abilities are secondary to pew pew. Predecessor on the other hand is all about abilities and having a diversity of range/melee heroes. It's about lane management and objectives. Deadlock has that a little bit but at the end of the day it's just a team based shooter.
Predecessor is fun and I loved paragon as well. I think compared to Deadlock it feels a bit outdated but if the devs keep working on this title a few more years it could become something special.

I don't know if it is how much Deadlock that I've watched or if it actually just makes more sense to me. But the play style and objectives in Deadlock makes more sense than the ones in Predecessor to me.
the objectives in Predecessor are SUPER simple imo, but i've also played so much that they might just make sense to me. as for the play style, its much more unforgiving compared to Deadlock, you'll find its very similar to League in that way.

Its so interesting to watch a clearly skilled player play this game. I have loved this since it was Paragon and am so happy to be able to play it again. The graphics and gameplay are so fun...to any new players...yes it is a lot to learn and get used to but can be so addicting, and when you find others to play with it makes the game that much more enjoyable. Love seeing Pred continue to grow and get noticed :)
I’m an OG Paragon player, so seeing you try this for the first time was refreshing. I would actually enjoy seeing you play this more. It's one of my favorite games... Though admittedly I haven't tried Deadlock
As an OG paragon player being able to even play it again through predecessor is a dream come true. I hate how certain things are handled with the game but I would say it’s overall a good time and is definitely worth playing if you’re into MOBAs.
I was thinking of this game while playing deadlock, unfortunately I think most of the new people who would play predecessor would likely just play deadlock I'm not confident in this game's future
I would love to see more Pred content! It's my first moba and I fell in love instantly. It has the same toxicity problems as every other moba but the gamefeel is just phenomenal
Been playing for a month or Two mainly jungle and midlane. But all roles feel good I haven't played a character that inherently feels bad, but the server connection has been uneasy.
Its because that predecessor is using decade old fomula, completely unoriginal with added third person perspective, whild deadlock have lots of innovations,the fast transit line, forward shop, skill customisation and enhancement instead of purely rely on equipment for power raise, and generally faster pace that doesnt let people steamroll too much with minor early game advantage
Yehhs more support for these guys! They are legends for pulling this off and keeping it running :D Deadlock will not away any time soon :p Deadlock will just evolve more as will this game i’m sure :)
I can't help but remember how it felt to play Paragon, the game felt more fluid, movement felt smoother and animations were smoother. Everything was basically much smoother, its hard to exaplain. Murdock was my favourite, when I tried him in Predecessor he felt... bad. The animations felt shorter, the movement felt slightly clunkier, and my god the shop with the items just was NOT displayed very well at the time. I might try it again as I haven't been on in a year. Hope it feels closer to Paragon polish.
Recently discovered Predecessor on Xbox and it’s absolutely insane to think that I’d never know about this game if Xbox hadn’t recommended it to me on my home page. It’s extremely fun and very different from my usually choice of game being Fps. I’m pretty horrible at the game but it is genuinely fun and feels very rewarding when you win team fights or manage to take your lane’s enemy or enemies down. The only similar game I’ve played is Smite but I much prefer Predecessor. Would love to try deadlock but unfortunately it’s not on console and I’ve heard it will never come to console. Hopefully that changes but we’ll just have to wait and see.

Paragon is the most fun I've ever had in a moba. I don't play Predecessor or the other one simply because it doesn't really have the player base or staying power that Deadlock has, which is why I'm so excited for that. While I am sad that I won't be seeing much more of Paragon, it'll be remembered forever, and we have Deadlock to fill that void
Think what deadlock has done so incredibly well is how easy it is to pick up, all it’s items are pretty simple, abilities are clear and massive plus is the in game build guides. If games like Predecessor and Smite II had this could be a great time for MOBA’s
Vid recommended because of watching pred content. After playing both I think I prefer Predecessor. The game feels polished and looks amazing. The only worry is taking care of toxicity with leavings or int’ers and lack of marketing to bring in new players. Balance is pretty good and so the devs are pretty transparent. Really hope to see you play some more. I’ll be back.
Paragon was the first MOBA I ever played because I'm a console scrub. When Epic shut it down to divert resources to their (at the time) new baby Fortnite, I was crushed. Some of my highest and most frustrating moments in my life as a gamer came from Paragon. It's death to me was very much how you feel about Battleborn (which I also loved). Playing Predecessor isn't 100% the same and I get they made some mechanical changes to make it more in line with other MOBAs but it's damn close. I'm so glad they ported it to console too. I don't have a ton of time on it but man it feels good to gave my baby back.

Loved paragon back in the day and will always have fond memories of playing my boi Kwang, now that I've upgraded my PC I could try Predecossor properly but Deadlock just blows it out of the water for me
predecessor was 10x more fun than deadlock to me for somone who prefers fps and never plays moba, just too many gimmicks in deadlock plus the jungle role in pred gives me so much agency and actual impactful decisionmaking
The game is great once u get some things down! Give it a couple shots, relax and have fun. It’s dope! Each hero is like it’s own game which I love. Find ur heroes and you’ll be set. Would love to see u play it more:)
After Paragon went to the grave no other online game have filled that void, Predecesor makes my heart whole again. Brawl game mode is pretty good too for times when you just want a more casual and quick match.
the problem with pred is the abysmally slow updates/content release. yes they are a small company but this isnt like not shopping at walmart cuz you dont want to support big companies... if the game is a live service game it needs to pump out enough content for people to stay entertained. currently for me they arent.

Predecessor has wieght and meat behind it. A steel slam feels meaty and a grux pull has a cwrtain oof to it. Deadlock feels very frantic to me.

Tried this out as cope since I don’t have a pc for deadlock. As my first MOBA it’s very fun, but man I feel dumb trying to learn it.
Keep with it! MOBAs have a bit of a learning curve but pred is a bit easier to get into

Predecessor is fun and I loved paragon as well. I think compared to Deadlock it feels a bit outdated but if the devs keep working on this title a few more years it could become something special.
really hope predecessor gets the attention and growth it deserves, I've enjoyed it a lot the past few months and its been much easier to learn than deadlock for me

As someone who played paragon, I love pred. It’s not perfect, but it definitely scratches the itch.
Its foothold over deadlock, is that predecessor is crossplay. Besides that, can't really think of one. Feel like 90% the playerbase is on console. I like pred more than deadlock personally. Different games to me.

I don't know if it is how much Deadlock that I've watched or if it actually just makes more sense to me. But the play style and objectives in Deadlock makes more sense than the ones in Predecessor to me.
the objectives in Predecessor are SUPER simple imo, but i've also played so much that they might just make sense to me. as for the play style, its much more unforgiving compared to Deadlock, you'll find its very similar to League in that way.

@@Goldenghost008 i wouldnt say its NOT GOOD, its been a mainstay game for like 15 years now for a reason, but it is insanely hard and its not the kind of game you can just “hop into”. everyone who plays has been playing for ages so the skill floor has raised far beyond whats worth it to the average player looking for something new.
@drewskii- Sorry, I realize my reply was confusing. I meant that I wasn't good at league lol. I enjoy watching league time to time. I just have tried to play and even after 2 weeks I can't get some of the basics down. But league is a great game.

Its so interesting to watch a clearly skilled player play this game. I have loved this since it was Paragon and am so happy to be able to play it again. The graphics and gameplay are so fun...to any new players...yes it is a lot to learn and get used to but can be so addicting, and when you find others to play with it makes the game that much more enjoyable. Love seeing Pred continue to grow and get noticed :)
I’m an OG Paragon player, so seeing you try this for the first time was refreshing. I would actually enjoy seeing you play this more. It's one of my favorite games... Though admittedly I haven't tried Deadlock
As an OG paragon player being able to even play it again through predecessor is a dream come true. I hate how certain things are handled with the game but I would say it’s overall a good time and is definitely worth playing if you’re into MOBAs.

I was thinking of this game while playing deadlock, unfortunately I think most of the new people who would play predecessor would likely just play deadlock I'm not confident in this game's future
I would love to see more Pred content! It's my first moba and I fell in love instantly. It has the same toxicity problems as every other moba but the gamefeel is just phenomenal
Been playing for a month or Two mainly jungle and midlane. But all roles feel good I haven't played a character that inherently feels bad, but the server connection has been uneasy.
Art wise looks better than deadlock ngl
Yes , at 3:30 or something, jungle does level slower. Also you can use the olants to jump part of the map
E and my friends have been playing it a lot. It’s a good moba. I think it’s just as if not better balanced then paragon.

Its because that predecessor is using decade old fomula, completely unoriginal with added third person perspective, whild deadlock have lots of innovations,the fast transit line, forward shop, skill customisation and enhancement instead of purely rely on equipment for power raise, and generally faster pace that doesnt let people steamroll too much with minor early game advantage
That because ohhhhh SURPISE! Deadlock is not even the same game mode, not a MOBA so why comparing it hahahaha

I can't help but remember how it felt to play Paragon, the game felt more fluid, movement felt smoother and animations were smoother. Everything was basically much smoother, its hard to exaplain. Murdock was my favourite, when I tried him in Predecessor he felt... bad. The animations felt shorter, the movement felt slightly clunkier, and my god the shop with the items just was NOT displayed very well at the time. I might try it again as I haven't been on in a year. Hope it feels closer to Paragon polish.
Recently discovered Predecessor on Xbox and it’s absolutely insane to think that I’d never know about this game if Xbox hadn’t recommended it to me on my home page. It’s extremely fun and very different from my usually choice of game being Fps. I’m pretty horrible at the game but it is genuinely fun and feels very rewarding when you win team fights or manage to take your lane’s enemy or enemies down. The only similar game I’ve played is Smite but I much prefer Predecessor. Would love to try deadlock but unfortunately it’s not on console and I’ve heard it will never come to console. Hopefully that changes but we’ll just have to wait and see.

I love this game so much. Loved Paragon and just found out 1.0 essentially revived it on Console and I haven’t stoped playing it! It really needs a new map
Paragon is the most fun I've ever had in a moba. I don't play Predecessor or the other one simply because it doesn't really have the player base or staying power that Deadlock has, which is why I'm so excited for that. While I am sad that I won't be seeing much more of Paragon, it'll be remembered forever, and we have Deadlock to fill that void

I’ve been playing pred since day one and never struggle to find a match, playerbase is just fine.
Think what deadlock has done so incredibly well is how easy it is to pick up, all it’s items are pretty simple, abilities are clear and massive plus is the in game build guides. If games like Predecessor and Smite II had this could be a great time for MOBA’s
Vid recommended because of watching pred content. After playing both I think I prefer Predecessor. The game feels polished and looks amazing. The only worry is taking care of toxicity with leavings or int’ers and lack of marketing to bring in new players. Balance is pretty good and so the devs are pretty transparent. Really hope to see you play some more. I’ll be back.
Paragon was the first MOBA I ever played because I'm a console scrub. When Epic shut it down to divert resources to their (at the time) new baby Fortnite, I was crushed. Some of my highest and most frustrating moments in my life as a gamer came from Paragon. It's death to me was very much how you feel about Battleborn (which I also loved). Playing Predecessor isn't 100% the same and I get they made some mechanical changes to make it more in line with other MOBAs but it's damn close. I'm so glad they ported it to console too. I don't have a ton of time on it but man it feels good to gave my baby back.

Predecessor is so incredible, it just feels so well developed and so much fun alone or with friends.
As a former paragon lover I just don't get the same feeling with predecessor I don't know what it's missing but it's missing something.

Loved paragon back in the day and will always have fond memories of playing my boi Kwang, now that I've upgraded my PC I could try Predecossor properly but Deadlock just blows it out of the water for me
predecessor was 10x more fun than deadlock to me for somone who prefers fps and never plays moba, just too many gimmicks in deadlock plus the jungle role in pred gives me so much agency and actual impactful decisionmaking

I played Paragon from alpha stage all the way through until it shut down.
I'm so happy it's back as Predecessor, and I want it to succeed SO hard.
The game is great once u get some things down! Give it a couple shots, relax and have fun. It’s dope! Each hero is like it’s own game which I love. Find ur heroes and you’ll be set.

After Paragon went to the grave no other online game have filled that void, Predecesor makes my heart whole again.
Brawl game mode is pretty good too for times when you just want a more casual and quick match.
Im PRAYING that Pred doesnt die because I was begging for this game to come back since the day it left and Ive been enjoying every minute of it.
the problem with pred is the abysmally slow updates/content release. yes they are a small company but this isnt like not shopping at walmart cuz you dont want to support big companies... if the game is a live service game it needs to pump out enough content for people to stay entertained. currently for me they arent.
