should’ve called this movie. It’s a terrifying life. Man that has given up on all his goals and ambition, for the happiness of others. Having to deal with a power-hungry mayor that runs the town he lives in. And having to cope on what he has lost, takes his anger out on his family. To an angry point where he has driven to To the idea of suicide. So yes, this is the most darkest film that has ever been made in 1940s standards.
