This song and singer plus Morgan Wallen singing 'Cover Me Up' and Chris Stapleton singing 'Fire Away', are my go to songs when life and the daily grind are getting overwhelming and tough. Musis conveys so many emotions and probably the most underated is its therapeutic power. All these three songs have bleak and dark narratives, loss, relationship crisis, physical or mental deterioration and suicide. These songs allow me to (safety) consider the unthinkable. Making me realise that leaving a tough situation, by whatever means, may take your current pain away but it passes that pain onto others for generations. To all artists everywhere, thank you for your ability to touch us. To all those going through a private hell right now, hang in there, seek help, life has the ability to change direction, the alternative is a wasteland.
