Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew When I bit off more than I could chew. But through it all, when there was doubt, I ate it up and spit it out. I faced it all and I stood tall; And did it my way. I've loved, I've laughed and cried. I've had my fill; my share of losing. And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing. To think I did all that; And may I say - not in a shy way, "No, oh no not me, I did it my way". For what is a man, what has he got? If not himself, then he has naught. To say the things he truly feels; And not the words of one who kneels. The record shows I took the blows - And did it my way!

「スワロウテイル」は衝撃的な映画だった。混沌の中で自暴自棄に生きる刹那的なストーリー。ゴミ溜めみたいな片隅でアリアの如く歌い上げるマイウエイから彼らの優しさが溢れ出して来た。
ここのCharaの可愛さ半端ない😍
2回しか観てませんが大好きな映画です。
三上博史さんの、笑顔から少し素になる表情に1番ジーンときます。何故かは分かりません。CHARAに見入ってる何とも言えない表情に心が震えます😭

我看这部电影可能是20多年前了。那时候没有字幕，很多情节还要猜，但是这首歌一直记在其中。作为一个从大陆到美国闯荡的学生，我也感觉自己生活在元都里。有时候半夜醒来，感觉自己回到了20多年前刚到美国，那时候没有钱但是有希望，未来人生有无限可能。

何度聴いても飽きない。
これは映画館で見ました。
当時はキャバクラのボーイをやっていて、そこで働いていた美波ちゃんに惚れていた。
結局2年後大学の同級生と結婚して子供も2人出来たが数年前に別れて、その後別の人と婚約してまた別れて、
サラリーマンを辞めて独立して、失敗して…。
今日は23年前の思い出に浸って一休み。

オレたちのソウルじゃない！との発言がありましたが、その通りだよ、ある程度歳取らないとわからない歌だと、ある程度歳をとった時にわかった😅
ここのニュアンスは、My Wayの世界観(たしかに年齢を重ねてこそ理解できる詞ですが)よりも、一般にフランク・シナトラや作者ポール・アンカの代表曲とされているものをロックバンドであるYenTownBandが演ることについて「俺たちのソウルじゃない」との発言だと思います
30年ほど前に在米してましたが、ロックバンドが橋幸夫とか三波春夫の大古典をいきなりセッションするような感覚に近いというか、そんな感じですね。
シナトラは偉大な功績ゆえに「ロック“じゃない”」として扱われる代名詞のような位置づけで、そこに義憤を感じたビリー・ジョエルがある年のグラミー賞で演奏を止めたことがありました。
スタイルは違っても、シナトラの歌にロックを感じ、リスペクトしていたからでしょうね
