@@johnjohannemann1220 Dan Fogelberg at Red Rocks back in The Early 70s was Our Most Remembered Concert Ever !! I was 19 My wife was 18 !! Gone but never forgotten !!
My favorite Dan song, especially the live version. Saw him the last night of this tour and it was excellent, right on the water at Jones Beach. He is so very missed.
He was a great writer, singer and a criminally under-recognized guitarist. I only saw him live twice, back in the '70s. He definitely left us too soon.
What an amazing and beautiful voice. So clear and beautiful and right on pitch. I miss him more than any musician I've heard. He was my inspiration to learn acoustic guitar. I've never regretted it. "LOOKING FOR A LADY'" was his first son I learned and at 66 yrs old I still remember and play it. So many good memories of his concerts and his music. RIP DAN FOGELBERG He. Definitely should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. So talented on so many instruments and sang and played with so many talented musicians, Joe Walsh, Glen Frey, Don Henley, Timothy B. Schmidt, David Crosby, Stephen Stills, Graham Nash, many others but none were better.
Dan Fogelberg is the Greatest Musician this earth has ever known. He has no equal. Not Mozart. Not Beethoven, not Chopin. His voice, the purity, the range, the power ! His brilliant, prophetic lyrical genius ! His multiple instrumental virtuosity on guitar, piano, string arrangements, the perfect synchronicity is the stuff of the Gods. He was a gift from GOD to mankind. IT's OK, i guess, that the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame did not induct him. To think Dan not worthy of this says lots more about them than it ever did of Dan. Hall of Shame is more appropriate.
Daniel, he usually closed with this song. I saw him live 17 times and I miss him so much. The last time I saw him, it was a beautiful and sweltering night in Nashville Tennessee, outdoor venue, and I just remember looking up at the stars and hearing everyone singing this in unison. I have seen Dan 10 times in concert, and I saw Dan and the band sing this song at the Desert Sky Pavilion in Phoenix, Arizona and I sang along with them on this song, and I met Robert McEntee backstage at the Grove Venue in Anaheim, California July 2002 and at that venue 2 drawings I did of Dan Fogelberg were given to Dan and he signed a songbook for me
Dan is nothing but fantastic. We were blessed to enjoy his music he shared with us on Mother Earth, that he clearly loved very much. thank you Dan. Thank all fans fo your comments...
I thought I had purchased all of Dan's albums (before The Internet), then I discovered songs that weren't on Greatest Hits or any other album, and found out about The Innocent Age. about 2000. What a treat! Dazz ling.
Garth Brooks gave him great respect with his cover of this song of Dan’s at the Aug 13, 2017 Colorado Music Hall of Fame Award Concert. See it on AXS TV & soon PBS....
One of my favorite songs of all times....I get chills every time I hear this version! Thankful I saw him live years ago during a acoustic tour of his in Kansas City!
This whole concert had to have left all who attended GIDDY knowing they witnessed one of the best artist in the history of music & a selection of his best songs. Dan was a one in a million talented guy that could play almost ANYTHING. RIP Dan,,,,,and RIP Mike Botts.
I can honestly say that I probably would have stopped playing and writing if I hadn't heard "Home Free." The spark was out of music for me and that album, written and recorded by a guy my own age at the time, inspired me to keep going, and energized a career in music that was to last me into my late 60's (now). "Thank you, Dan" is woefully inadequate, but I suspect he'd get the idea :-)
Saw Dan at U of I fall 1971 playing solo , guitar and piano very small venues then later with Fools Gold ,, amazing talent belongs in Hall of Fame, died way to young.. if you guys are over 50 GET A PSA drawn!!!! If it saves one life it’s worth it
Has there been as talented a songwriter , musician ( blues , jazz , classical , bluegrass , hard and soft rock , pop ? ) I think not --- the early stuff and obscure for many who only know his " hits" is selling oneself VERY VERY short - dive deep into the well of artistry that was the ouevre of Dan Folgeberg - true artist . Not even in the Songwriters Hall of Fame - how is that even possible ?
I finally got to see Dan just after he was pronounced cancer free they last time. I had been a fan since 1971, A brother from another mother., I proud wore a T-shirt that a friend got for me. I was very young and not allowed to do anything!
I'm listening to this great performance less than a month before mt 50th birthday. When they say 50 is the new 40, and it all begins again at 50 they couldn't be more accurate for me but not what anyone expects., January 2020, my diabetes took a nasty left turn and settled in my eyes. Eventually my eyesight will fade to dark. I've spent all 2020 and most of 2021 an Essential Cleaner sanitizing and using viruscide till The Thing derailed everything in April. It's given me much free time to think, reflect, and decide the path I'll take moving forward. I've decided I am not backing down, I will step up like I did in Jan 2020 and I am fighting back against the diabetes to remain sighted as long as possible. Music has been in my life since I was very young, and so was Dan's music. I sang Leader of the Band for Men's chorus in Jr High with music by Neil Diamond and the Beatles. My first taste of singing Non-church music in public. Dan's life and music reflects in my own story right up till I found Sometimes a Song and the sad news. Knowing now how Dan did his best right up till the end. Maybe, I've become a true Gambler in my old age after all. Blessings to all, and always be a light in the dark.

I wish I could have seen him in concert. Such a talent, such a voice. Miss you, Dan.
I thought I had purchased all of Dan's albums (before The Internet), then I discovered songs that weren't on Greatest Hits or any other album, and found out about The Innocent Age. about 2000. What a treat! Dazz
ling.
Garth Brooks gave him great respect with his cover of this song of Dan’s at the Aug 13, 2017 Colorado Music Hall of Fame Award Concert. See it on AXS TV & soon PBS....
My favorite song and love reliving this performance. There is a hole in the world with Dan gone.
One of my favorite songs of all times....I get chills every time I hear this version! Thankful I saw him live years ago during a acoustic tour of his in Kansas City!
He was one of the best ever! I love his music so very much!!! I wish he could have been here longer. God bless him!!
This whole concert had to have left all who attended GIDDY knowing they witnessed one of the best artist in the history of music & a selection of his best songs. Dan was a one in a million talented guy that could play almost ANYTHING. RIP Dan,,,,,and RIP Mike Botts.

Ohhhh my, goodness sweetest Dan Fogelberg ❤❤❤❤❤❤ New South Wales Australia
My wife and I saw him solo acoustic at Red Rocks west of Denver back in the '90s. Still the best show I've ever seen.
My god this is wonderful
so awesome....used to cool down to this song in my aerobics class
I love this song. It takes me back to my youth.
This song breaks my heart every time I hear it 💔 it's beautiful though
I love this song!!!
What is it about this voice that makes me feel good!
Miss you Dan
Wow.... puts him right up with Todd Rundgren when he did compassion.. just flawlessly inspiring lyrics beautiful.
Beautiful job done on a beautiful song...Thank You Dan for the music.
We were so lucky to live in an era that produced this kind of music!!! Music today just doesn’t compare.
He's Beautiful.
I saw him close his concert at the Kiel Auditorium in St. Louis during his 1982 Solo Acoustic Tour with this song. Magical.
FmMaj9 NoName I saw the solo acoustical tour also, Awesome!
Such a beautiful and soulful song👍😀😀👍😀
Saw him in Kansas City never will forget the feelings that came from the heart of every song.
Such a great song!
What an incredible artist....I grew up with his songs
How music should be true to the heart and this is just many of many of favorite songs he has done and yes Dan you left us way too soon.
What an amazing voice
I finally got to see Dan just after he was pronounced cancer free they last time.
I had been a fan since 1971, A brother from another mother.,
I proud wore a T-shirt that a friend got for me.
