Wonderful reaction . You are spot on in your comments. Morissette connects emotionally to every song she sings and her live performances are better than her studio recordings. She is a generational talent. Her dedicated fans always wonder why she isn't an international superstar. We will just have to be patient until the rest of the world catches up. In 2013 when Morissette competed in The Voice Philippines, one of the judges, Lea Salonga (for those who don't know her yet, THE Filipina singer on Broadway and for Disney whose career started with Miss Saigon when that musical played first in London) told Morissette who was just 17 then that her capacity to embody emotion was a gift especially for someone so young and that Lea herself had not been that good at her age. Morissette kept improving that capability over the years - Akin Ka Na Lang as she sung it in the Wish Bus at 22 years old is a young talent while her Wish Bus Performance of Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw at 26 sounds like a woman who has been through many things in life. For emotional stage performances her 2018 Asia Song Festival "Resignation" song is most memorable, for recorded stuff, her Moon River / Usahay mashup is amazing.

Majority of the Filipinos are confidently english speaking especially in Central part of the country particularly Cebu where Morissette came from. They excel english next to their mother tongue, then Tagalog [nat’l language]. So her articulation and pronunciation was precise. You know whats funny, speaking english in the Philippines is somewhat considered being “intelligent” 😂, but I’m thankful that a lot of Filipinos now appreciate the Filipino language which is Tagalog. Because this language is so beautiful. ❤

I totally agree with not getting bored with Morissette's voice. Like you, I get bored with singers that constantly growl, riff and runs in every single song and throughout the entire song. Morissette knows when and how to use her special gifts in her bag. Definitely check out her original song "Love You Still (sunset version)" from her Signature EP. I love the original, but her sunset version is soooo special. Also, check out her first take of her song "Power".....such an uplifting song.

Morissette is the artist who somehow kept my sanity especially during the Covid period. i am very grateful i have found her. i never looked back and now still an avid Mori fan.♥️

Morisette is on another level. Absolutely magnificent
I have loved her live streams over the years since Covid. I love her Bleeding Love and My Immortal. Her many live concerts videos are varied and great. Her originals are superb. Recently she and her husband did a video and released a single of her Love You Still single called the sunset version with only a cello and piano. Even though it is a recording, the way Dave mixed it sounds like a live action performance. Before Covid she toured worldwide, but the lockdowns in the Philippines restricted travel. Now she is gradually expanding her performances. She and Dave released a second From The Sea EP, joint project, this spring and she is working on a full length album of originals to be released next year. She has been this past week in Italy with ASAP, the main variety show in Manila, performing. At 27 her voice is maturing very quickly to go along with her amazing technique and tone. If this continues her voice will get even warmer and stronger. I think steady is what she and her management have decided to direct her career. She wants to be singing professionally twenty years from now.

I completely agree with all your comments and remarks about her, her voice, her performance, her versatility, the agility in her voice, and especially her connection to the text and words of the lyrics of her songs, through her voice, facial expressions, hand gestures, and body movements. And she is not struggling or straining to do it, as if to show off, but it's all natural to her. Yes, like you, I prefer to watch her live performances, on the Wish Bus, on concerts, even at her home during her livestreams, than her studio recordings. I prefer seeing her while listening to her because she is a candy to both the eyes and ears. She is born to sing and perform, and we consider ourselves blessed to have found her and witnessing this generational talent. 🥰

As for one of her originals for your feels, I highly recommend "Love you still (Sunset Version)", which is a recrafting of the very first single she released off her EP "Signature". The original version was boppy, so I suspect this Sunset Version will be more to your liking. Possible tissue alert. 😉
Love Morisette! Has one of my favorite female tones. She is definitely a performer.

What can I say, this is how I got hooked on Morissette.
Check out her recent collab with Sponge Cola "So Close", that is where you can again hear the grace with which she handles duets. Yes it's true that she is better live than in studion and better with a band (she works a lot with 3rd Avenue and its musical director Adonis Tabanda) than with a backing track like on Wish Bus. And she really loves singing, she sings even when her make up artist is getting her ready or when taking care of the many plants she has, and she said in an interview that her life goal is to sing for as long as she can.
Your thoughts & feelings is same as ours. Its an EXPERIENCE watching her sing live on stage. She is a live performer.

I agree with you about some of the big voices like Mariah, Christina and a few more of the great voices out there, the heart is missing, there have been other Singers that don't or did not have great voices but lots of ❤ like the late Joe Cocker, or Bonnie Tyler to name 2, Mori always sings with her heart open and that God given voice, Mori always sings live if possible, like GUSTO KO NANG BUMITAW live Band Version, better than the wish bus, or Morissette Amon - POWER first take after being ill, here you see Dave Mori's husband on the mixing Board, even he cannot believe how great she is, again out of this World, ENJOY your journey.

The first time I saw and heard her in the Wish Bus I got hooked and it must be because she doesn't just sing, she performs, so emotion is always there, especially when she chooses to get really raw with it.

I could sit here and write a book about this wonderful young ladies exemplary unbelievably magnificent talent, but to keep it simple shes quite clearly the greatest FEMALE ARTIST I've ever heard or seen in my 65yrs, i fell out of love with music a long long time ago especially after the likes of George Michael, Prince, Whitney and Aretha where lost to us, MORISSETTE has been a breath of fresh air so much so she and her husband DAVE LAMAR have co-written and co-produced an amazing 5 track EP called SIGNATURE that basically she has made it virtually impossible for anyone to even think of trying to cover, the 5 songs are LOVE YOU STILL, PHOENIX, TROPHY, WILL YOU STAY and MIRROR, the live band performances she did in one set and one take, no surprises there are absolutely impeccable, shes the Queen of the one take performances, shes absolutely brilliant at overdoing a song without overdoing it if you get what i mean, she sings to express and not to impress, i mean you find me anyone who has the versatility of this brilliant you LADY, all i can say is good luck with that one, theres literally 100s of various performances from live, livestreams, music videos, just check out her ROCK performances, heart, bon jovi, aerosmith, the cranberries, her covers of stairway to heaven and zombie, bohemian rhapsody, are just off the scale and are all live performances, her evanescent cover of my immortal in one of her livestreams is another winner, i could go on all-day but i will leave it at that because i tend to get overexcited with her, i am now a subscriber to your amazing channel because your analysis is pretty much like mine, thank you so much 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️.
