I absolutely agree with you Nick. In my opinion Morissette and also KZ are the only 2 Filipino female artist that has the versatility in their voices to sing more upbeat/Rock style of music. The rest of the female singers in the Phillipines are still living in the 80s and 90s covering love ballads. Mori, of course, being the best vocalist in her class, her wide range, can sing any genre, like in this case, pop, R&B, funk, soul, and the way she delivers. We can see how she enjoys doing this performance, she is oozing with energy and confidence! We know Mori is a big Bruno Mars fan, I just don't know since when and for how many years now, but the fact that she included a Bruno Mars medley in her 10th Anniversary Concert early this year just shows that he is a big influence to her and her singing career. I believe that when she is not rehearsing her own songs, or her covers, especially on her rest days (which I doubt if there's any nowadays due to her very busy schedule), she is listening to and singing along with Bruno Mars' songs 😅 That's why, as I learned from Lawrence Nolan, the drummer of the 3rd Avenue band, in this session they only did two takes (just for safety), and it was already perfection! Imagine doing a difficult medley of big hit songs, and all it took them is two recordings! Amazing! Incredible! 💖 Shout out, too, to Adonis Tabanda, for the genius arrangement, as you mentioned, the transitions between the songs are so smooth, and to 3rd Avenue band, for the great instrumentations, these are world-class talented musicians! Also to Dave, for the excellent videography and direction, and to the rest of the production team, including the hair and make-up and stylists, for the gorgeous looks of Mori! This was overall a world-class production and performance that deserves millions of views!
