What's funny (or sad) is that there are many American recording artists that are popular in the Philippines but unrecognized (or have lost relevance) in the US. Many Filipinos continue to embrace this type of music because of the nostalgia and propensity for legato melodies.
I am a Filipina, one of the minority “tone deaf” citizen. During the eighties when i was in college, there were no karaoke place but piano bars which you can sing along with a live piano. I usually “lip sync” with my friends. Once my friends said “why don't you sing? It might be a hidden talent!” First time in my life did i belt! It felt so good!! But my friends just told me that “its a hidden talent so better keep on hiding it!?” Since then i have never sang before people…..
That's how to say singing is not your trade or skill !!! I'm also on point on any notes I sing but my friends and family always telling me that my voice have strain from mid to high notes including my falsetto, I'm discouraged and stop singing in a group but to myself.
Looking forward to their Gigi Vibes episode in late Sept. I've requested her performances on the Wish 1075 concerts last year & this year. They havent seen her perform on a big stage.

I want more of Johnny's detailed analysis and less everything else. And yes, longer each time. I also want Johnny to have the play/pause/rewind controls. He often wants to stop the music and speak but Richard ignores him. Then Johnny clearly forgets later. I want more of Johnny's detailed analysis in each moment, more pausing during the song, much less generic "Everybody is so good" after.

I am glad that you came up with this idea of a James Ingram Tribute. Can you do this same concept to other singers like Heart, Peter Cetera, etc.? Hope you could include Alamat, a P-pop male group, in TGFF. Please check their Maharani Music Video. Unfortunately, that song isn't included at the Wish Bus. If you prefer those at Wish Bus, they did well with their songs, 'Say U love me', 'Day and Night', 'Dayang' and 'Gayuma'. This may raise some eyebrows from veteran subscribers here but I like this group's way of including R&B in their songs as well as the Philippine culture and its varied dialects. Filipinos speak Tagalog and English not just because these are our two major/official languages. Philippines is separated by more than 1,700 islands and thus we have more than 100 different dialects spread across different provinces. Speaking Filipino and English acts as our bridge to understand each other since not all of us are well-versed with the other dialects. In their MVs, they proudly incorporate clothes worn by ethnic Filipino groups in their wardrobe, as well as introduce some Philippine culture and beliefs. What made this group more interesting, at least for me, is that each of the members is sort of a representative of a certain province, their dialect and culture. Each of them are from different parts of the Philippines and thus they speak various dialects like Bicolano, Ilokano, Kalinga, Kapampangan, Visaya, and Waray (but they include other dialects like Tausug, etc. in their songs). This is already off topic but since they are a P-pop group, they dance really well and they include native/ethnic/tribal/folk dance indigenous to the Philippines. Alamat may not be as good as the great singers usually heard here but in my layman's opinion, they sing really well. I believe that this channel is an inclusive one and doesn't discriminate against Filipino singers if they aren't in the level of Morisette Amon or Daryl Ong. Many subscribers here appreciate foreign acts, and I hope they can accept other equally talented Filipino singers.

James Ingram passed away in 2019 at the age of 66 yrs old. Regine is suffering from acid reflux that’s why she said that she finds it a little bit difficult to reach high notes. If Regine did that medley 5 yrs ago , maybe she did it as a tribute for James.☺️💕

I am glad that you came up with this idea of a James Ingram Tribute. Can you do this same concept to other singers like Heart, Peter Cetera, etc.? Hope you could include Alamat, a P-pop male group, in TGFF. Please check their Maharani Music Video. Unfortunately, that song isn't included at the Wish Bus. If you prefer those at Wish Bus, they did well with their songs, 'Say U love me', 'Day and Night', 'Dayang' and 'Gayuma'. This may raise some eyebrows from veteran subscribers here but I like this group's way of including R&B in their songs as well as the Philippine culture and its varied dialects. Filipinos speak Tagalog and English not just because these are our two major/official languages. Philippines is separated by more than 1,700 islands and thus we have more than 100 different dialects spread across different provinces. Speaking Filipino and English acts as our bridge to understand each other since not all of us are well-versed with the other dialects. In their MVs, they proudly incorporate clothes worn by ethnic Filipino groups in their wardrobe, as well as introduce some Philippine culture and beliefs. What made this group more interesting, at least for me, is that each of the members is sort of a representative of a certain province, their dialect and culture. Each of them are from different parts of the Philippines and thus they speak various dialects like Bicolano, Ilokano, Kalinga, Kapampangan, Visaya, and Waray (but they include other dialects like Tausug, etc. in their songs). This is already off topic but since they are a P-pop group, they dance really well and they include native/ethnic/tribal/folk dance indigenous to the Philippines. Alamat may not be as good as the great singers usually heard here but in my layman's opinion, they sing really well. I believe that this channel is an inclusive one and doesn't discriminate against Filipino singers if they aren't in the level of Morisette Amon or Daryl Ong. Many subscribers here appreciate foreign acts, and I hope they can accept other equally talented Filipino singers.
