IMPORTANT! IF you get red text, saying the integrity is wrong etc., that means ur original shaders doesnt extist. Quickest fix is to reinstall client only!
DISCLAIMER: This is not the official tutorial, made for the developer. This is only the method I got shown over at the Facebook-groups!
In this quick video, I show you how to quickly install and use the newly released TomatoShade for P3D.
PLEASE read the instructions before applying the preset in the Tomatoshade.exe... There it says recommended troubleshooting, dark cockpits etc...
Should only work with P3D version 4.1 and 4.2!
If you get black planes, its either that you havent followed those guidelines in the program, or you havent applied the correct file. A simple re-apply should work.
FOR PTA and URP-USERS:
Before starting with TomatoShade, its key to restore ur shaders in PTA and the config file. Then you can go on and install TomatoShade!! According to those who have helped me, URP and/or URP cannot be installed at the same time as Tomatoshade. ENVSHADE can.

Ok. Just another question coming in, can I just ask if you have any performance tips for REX Skyforce? My fps is getting murdered when flying in dense cloud situations.
I got a tip from Reed at ORBX, to redo the installation of the theme, and select either low or medium quality, that might help. On my end, never had performance issues with SF.

Hey norshuttle nice video but i have an issue. Preset appplied, reflection profile applied, and i only see the cabin of the plane? I also tried to apply the preset after reflection again... doesent work..

Hi, can i use the SynamicReflectionMaker only with PTA or do i have to use the TomatoShade too? And if i have to use ist is it compatible with PTA and the Thopat 3.0 preset???
Got a major question. A while ago I installed tomatoshade. Unfortunately that file somehow got deleted and my reflection profiles for the aircraft were kept the same. Sadly, now I can’t remove/restore my profiles. The add on aircraft won’t even show up on the reflection maker list. The only one that is there is FSLabs and that’s only there cause I installed it a couple of days ago. Can someone help me out? I can't even save/apply presets anymore.
any idea how to modify profile of the b777 ? even when i restor the 777 textures are too grey and very ugly

you need to delete any previous shaders and restore original. Also Norshuttle kindly don't reupload tomatos files just link his drop box... he's probably going to berate you
NORSHUTTLE It’s when I start TomatoShade up on the primary page. This results in that I can’t click “Apply”

if you used any shader program before press reset to default shaders

Lets see that Boeing at night! I bet its black as hell! And if you dont apply the shade to the aircraft then its white as hell. Why is that? Also, selecting those profiles, OPENING THE FILE says that this profile is not designed for this aircraft. Why is that? Its the default profiles that came from the website. And one last thing, mine no longer SCANS for the file. It does not open a scan option but rather tries to open the file directly so i cannot apply anymore Dynamic reflections.
It just makes black planes and no visual difference. I need serious help.

Great video! I have one problem, at night the fusealage is reaaalllyy BRIGHT (it looks horrible) and the reflection is the reflection of some green grass.... How can i fix this and make it reflect whats actually there?

I'd like to apply Carenado and Alabeo planes but need guidance to do so otherwise for all other planes similar I would have to turn off TS to fly.
Then you are at the wrong place sadly, I have no clue how to make other profiles.

All the planes i used in the dynamicreflectionsmaker are all purple
the pmdg 777 becomes black and has some purple dots showing on the livery after applying the profile of pmdg 777
RidingThe RR try removing it and start over. Make sure to follow all the steps provided in the tomato shader (notes on right hand side.)

i don't have an option to apply preset and also i get shader integrity invalid for Postprocess\HDR.hlsl , GPUTerrain.fx, General.fx , Cloud.fx

If you get this, it means the program cant find the default files. Simple fix is to reinstall the P3D-cllient! DO NOT use PTA and this together!!
You need to use PTA to *restore* the original shader, that is a critical step.

Danny Schildmeijer No, uninstall the client ONLY, then reinstall it. This way you will set P3D back to default, but still have all ur addons. This also rebuilds ur shaders that u are missing.

Failed to read the selected profile file. It might be not available or is incompatible with this version.

Its either a wrong profile for the aircraft, or a faulty profile. I cant really help with that, as I got little info when I mad this video. But try, running admin first, important. And see if its still persisting.
TomatoShade wont let me apply the setting. Its ghosted?? Is ENVDIR getting in the way?
Shouldnt use other shader tweakers, except Reshade (which is just a filter). So remove or disable ENVDIR, and see if that fixes it.
ok i installed this just like you said and now all i got in p3dv4 is a black screen....so how do i unstall/or fix this problem?????

@@timurseliutin1663 i just restarted my computer and restarted p3d and it workedthe graphics loaded a little slower but it works..... i also unsubscribed from this channel cause evidently if they suggest something here and it messes up your pc they dont suggest a fix ! Or answer questions!!

Moving around with WASD, up and down with B and V, and 4 to select cinematic mode

First, restore the shaders from the original P3D shaders. Then, you can just remove the application / folder

If you want to update Tomato Shade to a newer version what do you do? Simply replace the old one with the new download?

Have you read thru the foot notes in the program? Load up default first to let the shaders set it self up. Then load others. If not, you can try reinstalling it
so you mean i go into my sim enable dynamic reflections and then load in and exit and then set the shaders and go into my sim and i also noticed when i set the shaders for the pmdg 747 it says that this preset thing is for like another model and might not work idk why tho? i once got it working tho but then the engine cowlings were like too chromy

Just dont use the relflections manager, but then this thing is rather pointless ;)
So using this shader means I would need to uninstall PTA?
You do not need to uninstall the PTA program.
If i install tomato, and i have PTA, in the case i dont like tomato, how can i go back? Just install my Previous PTA?
Very easy: these app are not directly installed. So if you want to remove Tomato, go into the exe, and restore shaders.

Hey buddy when i run the exe as admin it opens up but it says something went wrong during the initialisation and on the log down below it says p3d folder cannot be found. my p3d is installed on drive F. send help T.T
Hmm, it should auto-find it... Maybe theres a browse-section where you can define the location.... ?

Finally fixed my black plane problem. But again I stumbled upon a problem. I don't have the reflections well I do but they are very dull.. and if I see them they aren't very smooth any fixes here?

Plane is all black after setting the reflections.
Have you read thru the whole readme in the shaders-program? There it ssys load up default ac, weather and airport FIRST, then the others. Also, if you just reapply the shader, it should work.

Reinstall client. You should always keep ur backups for shaders, as the program tweaks these ;)

Hmm, are you running the tomato as ADMIN, and has the sim folder read and write allowances? And is it installed either on a ssd or hdd?
Yes I running the tomato as ADMIN. but now I have found the error. My P3D install Path has obviously disappeared? so I think it's because tomatoes do not work. I apologize for the inconvenience
but I have first figured out today on my P3D install path is gone. once again sorry for the inconvenience.
