    thank you!! i've signed in a few days ago and I already made an online test, waiting for results!! I don't even know if I'll get in, but I'm already so excited so I watch all USA exchanges videos in the word::::D
    There's my question! You talk about umm some kind of card that let others know about yourself and in the other way, about a host family, but how is it done? I mean, I suppose host family writes this in some part of their application, but is it the same as a person who wants to sign in?? I've already had two rounds and except essays there wasn't any place for informations about yourself. I would be grateful if someone knows how it works now!!!

    • @MelanieJosephine
      @MelanieJosephine  3 года назад +2

      I'm not sure I understand your question, but if there is nowhere to write about yourself, then make sure that you share as much about you as possible when you are in contact with the family!

    Should you ask your host family to pay for your flight ticket and if so, what is the appropriate way of bringing it up?

    • @MelanieJosephine
      @MelanieJosephine  3 года назад +6

      It kind of depends how long you will stay with them. I would say if your stay exceeds 6 months you could consider asking them. I would only ask them if you have already have figured that you are a great match for each other. You could tell them how excited you are to be their au pair and how much you value the upcoming experience. And you can say that you just wanted to check if „flight support“ is part of the package they are offering. Much love

    • @MelanieJosephine
      @MelanieJosephine  4 года назад +2

      Hey! I don’t know your profile or what these families are looking for that you messaged. What I think you should do is kindly ask the families to share why they are sending you a negative reply. That way you will know if it’s your application/profile or maybe Another reason.

    Hello i have a question my most child experience have been with my nieces and nephews but i did do baby sitting but not that much sadly is it possible for me to become an au pair in the usa?

    • @MelanieJosephine
      @MelanieJosephine  Год назад +1

      You need a certain amount of hours. Check out the agencies. But even if you don't have all hours ready, you can start doing more babysitting or volunteer in a nursery- there are many ways to get you to the US!
