I believe the desk lamp you have is called a Bankers Lamp.
That feeling when you fall in love with something random at a thrift/antique store can't be beat, I can relate! And every time I see the items styled in my home I have the memories, as well. So much better than just going to a store and buying new. Plus, I think of all the other homes my new finds have graced. I always thought the lamp was a piano lamp--I have a brass thrifted one. Blessings!
My friend always says, " Ohhhh....dopamine hit!" when we find good stuff on our thrifting Fridays. We think it's so much cheaper than therapy. 😁♥️

I love thrifting too! My sister and I have a booth in a local second hand store so we love to hunt for treasures. It's also a great outlet to use items in our homes for a while and then resell them when we find something else to try. Your secretary looks perfect in the living room!

I would love, love, love to see your thrifted home! I don't have many antique/thrift markets near me...but i try to stop in my travels a few times a year. I have many items over the years that i have found and love the memories of finding them 🙂.

Just a suggestion, I think you should switch the secretary from the wall it's on to the wall the clock is on. I think then you could leave it open and leave a chair like your inspiration picture. Love your home.

Some of my most treasured home decor has been thrifted, I love finding my little treasures in a thrift store or an antique store. The thrill of the hunt..
When I look at my treasures during the day, I will always remember how my heart skipped a beat when I saw it on the thrift store shelf…it’s such a wonderful hobby, and giving an item a new home is a good feeling

I love thrifting as well. What I do is walk through my house and just point to things and call out what was thrifted. It’s so fun to do and sometimes surprises me as much as it does my friends I’m sharing the info with. This may be a cool concept for a video for you. Not sure how that works with filming just thought I would suggest it. I was sharing some of my serving dishes at Christmas with my sister and she couldn’t believe it when I showed her some of them are over 100 years old. She also couldn’t believe I would use them. She was scared they would get broke. I love watching my family eat off of them and wonder how many other families before us shared meals together with them. As always love your videos.

Put black paint under your gold rub n buff and it makes it look so much more antique. Just let a little of the black peak out from under the gold. Great, beautiful ideas though!

I just love all of your thrifted items Nichole! I am physically unable to go thrifting but I know I would have a blast. I bought some prints of Etsy for Christmas but I am a computer dummy and never printed them. I have a gallery wall and love to change out the prints and I love the ones you picked up. Those copper canisters are just gorgeous as well as the scoops. I also love your furniture pieces. I would love to see your other thrifted pieces and you could make it a 2 part video. You have so many great finds, I just picked up a copper canister set yesterday (they are a bit different than yours though) I love thrifting in the New Year! Great finds. They look so lovely in your home. My home is also mostly thrifted, as are most of my clothes, shoes, and purses. I've heard that lamp called a library lamp or a lawyer lamp. It is beautiful.

Oh my goodness I’ve been thrifting for so many years, I’ve furnished whole rooms thrifting. Sometimes I touch things up and sometimes I leave them like they are especially Christmas decor! I was thrifting to sell at one time but I like what I thrift so much I end of keeping it! Love your thrifting! ❤

I think the lamp was called a piano lamp at sometime.
the lamp might be considered a piano lamp (like to read sheet music while playing) or maybe a version of a bankers lamp, possibly. Those are the two that came to mind.

I wish!!I had someone to help me.at my house ...ived got ALOT family pic & some heirloom furniture .nothing matches " but goes together since same era ..BUT IT'S not fixed cute like these ladies homes in these videos.... but have made strides ..since last yr been "de- cluttering &;"editing " my house .. I've got three bedrooms ..I'm using 2ns bedroom as storage while I go through whole house room by room actually have made huge dent.......these videos are very inspiring &;great ideas ...
I picked up on your comment about styling things in the thrift store and scurried over to Instagram to follow you and I will look forward to these sessions. It sounds intriguing and I know would help the sales at the thrift store. I don’t go to thrift stores very often and I am usually overwhelmed by the conglomeration of items piled up. To see some vignettes of the items styled would be so fun…to get to STYLE the vignettes would be so fun!

Nicole, your end table would be beautiful painted black. Your lamp on it is a piano lamp…I had one just like it on our piano. Love thrifting…just wish I had more time to do it! Love Kailyn’s channel and watch her all the time. Your nutcrackers that you painted and used rub-n-buff on, inspired me so much! I went out and found 4 wooden nutcrackers and haven’t done them yet, but plan to very soon, or I’ll forget what to do with them by next Christmas! I grew up in a home with a classical musician, my mother. We had a church organ, small organ, piano and every other instrument and she had her own music studio and taught music after she retired. It's a piano lamp. Yours looks a little different, but it was used to highlight the sheet music. Your home is beautiful and wonderful touches of antique charm.

You have A beautiful home, so many beautiful pieces! As I look around my home I'm the same way, there's more thrifted or used than new. My husband and I own a rather large thrift store and get so much donated that we literally have to turn things down sometimes, so i do get things that way but i also still love to go thrifting sometimes, there are so many thrift stores here in Tennessee! And so many people collect antiques here also. But the hunt is so fun😊

Sometimes, not as often as I'd like of course😄 so many antique stores around here we just don't always get the things like i love, people just know they can get good money for their antiques so they'll sale to dealers then donate everything else. We do get some good things tho, just not like an antique store would if you know what i mean.
I did enjoy this video. Love how you got the items and plans to change it some. I want to get prints printed. We moved in our house over years and yet to really hang any pics up. I've thrifted some frames but now my dilemma is need to figure out where I want to put them. I'm so wishy washy. Lol I truly enjoyed all your finds and this video.

I think you would call your lamp on the table at the side of the couch a piano lamp. They used that kind to set on top of the piano to shine on the music . I had one that was all brass made the same.

I love thrifting too. I like your decor. Thank you for the link of printables. I’ve never done that before. Have you tried framing prints without the glass? Also, how do you print them? In matte finish?
Thank you! I just print them in the glossy finished and they look matte oddly enough lol I’ve also heard you can paint over the prints using mod podge and it gives it a true matte finish. I have no be framed photo with the glass and it looks pretty too!

Ours is around 1,800sq ft 🙂 I find that when I’m in a slump with my home I try my best to refresh it by moving things around if possible, selling decor I don’t love, and thrifting new pieces to replace them with ❤️

I love thrifting also but I'm not always as creative as you in using them so uniquely as you do. I have appreciated your clever ways of decorating and have bought many things that you have displayed. I did buy the bed you styled in the bedroom and now am looking for a mattress. Do you have any recommendations for a mattress to put on a platform? I have a painful back so want a medium firm one. The foam ones are usually way too hot for me. I like your clothing style also so have you considered branching out into fashion finds? I am 5'10" and mostly wear jeans and pants.

I love thrifting as well. I do find that I have to be selective because I don't want to have an overcrowded home. I take things there often and try to get rid of stuff throughout the year. I enjoyed this video and your home because it looks so nice and doesn't look mismatched or cheap. You could always just go room by room or take 2 rooms in a video and go over the thrifted items. It is a lot of fun to create something beautiful and unique from the thrift and antique stores.

I just save the pdf to my computer and just have them printed at Walgreens like an actual photo would be printed 🙂 I’ve found so far that the pdf files on Etsy are very user friendly and they have instructions too.

I guess I'm really blessed I have my precious Granmom 's traincase She used on our little vacation s & overnite Christmas in Holuday' motel.🌲 ..anyway it's full of black / white vintage picture s of my aunt's ..ECTim thinking when my sister & I cleaned out their house our family home u got alot of these pictures I was so greifstricken y'all I can't remember it was 22 Yrs ago but .I'm so glad I had presence of mind to do this .plus at our sweet Aunt's house I got more ..her grandchildren bmt cousins didn't seem to want any...😒😮💨🙏 family..plus didn't y'all get get any furniture fr family...ok u just said u did get buffet fr in laws ... beautiful home ..but I would add more feminine touches. ..Flowers all around in vases ..faux"&;real .. mix ..Happy New Year. !🙏🕊️❄️🇺🇸☕☕❄️🦌🦌
