  • Radio City was shaking (and so was I) when McCartney came onstage with Ringo to perform "Birthday" for Ringo's 70th Birthday Bash at Radio City. Recorded in HD. Half of a Beatles reunion.

I was there and probably sitting a row or two behind whoever shot this video. It was so unbelievable, I screamed like a little girl! This was not by special invitation, anyone could have gotten tickets to see this incredible show. I've seen Paul McCartney twice before, but seeing him with Ringo was amazing!

the guitarist is Joe Walsh (Ringo's brother in law and member of The Eagles), the drummer is Zak Starkey (Ringo's eldest son), and with Paul on bass and lead vocal and Ringo drumming too and enjoying it, what more could you ask for?

They should've had Yoko sing back-up. That's her (with Patti) on the White Album version of "Birthday." How amazing to be there for this. I would have soiled my trousers.

@4FabBEATLES: The drummer's actually Gregg Bissonette, not Zak

Just once I'd like to see Ringo play drums without the aid of other drummers.
He did it before ( in The Beatles) and he can do it again. That's great with him playing drums with his son, but just ONE Beatle song that's all I'm asking

@yiassoufile John loved Yoko. Anyone who truly loves John does not hate Yoko.

WoW Jeannie Allen. The only thing TERRIBLE is your nasty comment. By your profile pic you look old enough to know that if you have nothing nice to say-you shouldn't say it at all. If you were a Paul or Ringo/Beatle fan you would realize the amplitude of this moment. It was a real Beatlemania moment where the thunderous screams and applause from the fans made all of Radio City feel like an earthquake had hit. I was lucky enough to experience this moment and needed to preserve it. I scanned the stage to soak it all in - the stage and the screen. At times I wasn't looking in my viewfinder so that I can experience this magical moment through my own eyes instead of the camera's eye. I would like to see your video of that moment and see if you did better. I have over 300 vids in my account. I have a very steady hand and my camera has great sound. This vid is special because if you were smart you would realize the magnitude of the moment. I guess if it was up to you the Cavern Club recordings and the live concerts of the Beatles at She etc shouldn't have been released due to the poor sound quality. What you really should have commented was "Thank you" for sharing. ~ Jamie
