Thank you. Clear and detailed explanation in just a few mins. Much better than the rest of other’s tutorial for spss. Especially like your detail, such as internal consistency. Every time I watch these kind of video they just skip these explanations and I have to spend time to find what the words mean, but you saved me from this

Thank you for the explanation. Can i use cronbach alpha also for a questionnaire with different types of questions :likert-scale, binary scale and ordinal scale questions. i would like to know if i should use a different type of analysis. Thank you

Thank you. The video was brief and concise. Does it suggest that a Cronbach Alpa of 0.58 can be seen to show reliability in items if the items are say 30

Thank you BrunelASK for sharing this concise and informative lecture. Can you please give the reference of the book which mentioned about the cronbach alpha with at least 0.5 if there are less than 10 items?

Hello, thanks for the video. You explained a few things well but I have a question or 2 if you are able to respond. You say that the 'Corrected Item-Total Correlation has to be > 0.4...our text says 0.50. Now, I have gone through a Factor Analysis and have reduced 30 items to 12 and though on the main scale I have 12 items in which there are 3 subscales, the Cronbach for the whole scale is .82 which is very acceptable however in the 'Corrected Item-Total Correlation' column, about 7 times are below 0.50 but in the Cronbachs Alpha if deleted items, each of these 7 times have lower values than the overall alpha value...With so many times falling just short of the 0.50 on the 'Corrected Item-Total Correlation, what would I do? I don't want to remove more items otherwise I might end up with very few. If yo can reply, thanks...

      Hi Rob Carlos
Please could you help me in explaining how did you get an acceptable alpha value? Because I am running a reliability analysis with 11 items but I got an alpha value of 0.4 which is far below 0.7, the acceptable rate. Please do really need your help. Thanks.

Thanks for the quite explanatory video.
Please, I do have a question: under item-total statistics, subsection "corrected item-total correlation, if item in the scale is a reverse of the construct, can the digit be lesser than 0.40?

Why do I get a negative value for Cronbach's alpha? I have tried reverse coding, the labels are similar for all items.
