"there is a lot of mis-information floating around the internet surrounding the symposer. My brother actually spent a day with the engineer who worked on the system. The video he made from the visit wasn't the best, but the discussions off camera really gave us a clear picture of how the system works. My brother is also a sound engineer, so he understood what the Ford sound engineer was talking about. We even learned how to change the sound of the symposer using different density foam as that acts like a damper because at certain vibrations, the tube gets a funny resonance. Really fascinating stuff, and the type of stuff you only learn from spending a day with the engineers who designed it. Far too much of what is on the internet is incorrect when it comes to the Fiesta ST." Some guy who knows about that stuff
I totally agree mate! The sound symposer is a fantastic little thing, it works via frequencies and vibrations etc technically a little instrument in itself. It sounds lovely with the standard exhaust system however when upping the boost/changing your exhaust system it becomes quite inadequate and intrusive. More of a future proofing modification for those who are looking to change their exhaust/get a remap! There is definitely a ton of misinformation online with claims that it's a "fake noise" and "electric" etc.
Yeah, personally the best thing I ever did was install h7 Samsung lumiled led headlights, 50 quid for a pair from eBay and completely changed the driving and styling of the car. Oh and LED reverse lights, I've seen candles burn brighter than stock
Hey Jonathan, welcome to the channel! The mountune 215 kit is Awesome! Mountune as a whole are second to none in terms of product quality, you won't be disappointed!
It's a no-brainer as a full package, I personally wish I took that route to begin with. Are you going to be purchasing the Tool which goes with it too?
Apologies for the late reply! I believe it does when you purchase it from the Mountune website, but if you go to ford I don't think they include the handset.
I'm looking to get an ST-3 around March time next year. It's looking like PCP would be a better deal for me at around £250 a month for a 2016 model with around 10k miles. (£2,000 deposit) Or maybe I'm better of buying the car outright? Great vid btw Edit: Also, I'll be 22 years old with 4 years no claims and insurance is looking like £1.7k with named drivers :[
Hey Sean, thank you for the comment! I think it all boils down to what you feel is right, no one can tell you what's best. The MK7 ST180 is an awesome car and I would highly recommend it, but if it's something that seems out of reach/budget there are plenty of other awesome Ford options out there. The MK6 Fiesta ST, MK5 Zetec S ,MK2 Focus ST are all amazing alternatives. That being said, £1.7k for insurance does seem a little steep for your circumstances. I would shop around, there are plenty of companies out there who offer good deals including Adrian Flux, Green-light and Brentacre.
Mine is showing £1.6k with 1 year NCB, a claim 12 months ago and no named drivers. The way insurance works is so fucking stupid. I also got a quote for a 2012 Cupra R for £2,900 with no mods. Did another quote with some mods claimed; Modified exhaust, ecu remap and engine mods = £2,700. It's like a joke.
Sean, keep with it mate the ST is far too fun not to own! A genuine turbo charged roller skate. Try hashing direct or Adrian flux, they're a dedicated performance specialist and insure younger drivers for decent money!
Counterintuitive....or something like that...Tissue box on parcel shelf, Big ugly slip on steering wheel cover, Gt stripes, beads hanging from mirror, big furry seat covers, stuffed animal hanging from rear bumper, smaller smoother knob, some tyre lettering, oversize mirror, Pink vinyl wrap, rock hard shocks, 20 inch chrome wheels, wolf whistle horn....
Pumaspeed are terrible btw. I bought a MSE Olsberg body kit from them for a fucking premium. Never got it delivered and had to fight them for several years to get my money back. They tried to dick me every step of the way and claim somehow I had to pay a 20% 'relisting fee' as though I didn't want the part I bloody paid for and somehow it's skin off their nose by selling the same bloody item twice. It was ridiculous, and they shafted me out of about six hundred quid in total but I got the bulk of it back.
If you wanted good gear changing you shouldn't have bought a shitty manual. Downside is almost all the auto's for Fiesta's are Malaysian shit boxes. But nothing will shift faster than a chip.

Nice & clear video mate! Keep it up
but doesn't the St already come with a short shifter ? if u compare it to the fiesta titanium it is defiantly shorter
It comes with a shorter feeling gearbox/shifter, however , you can make it even shorter :)

It's a no-brainer as a full package, I personally wish I took that route to begin with. Are you going to be purchasing the Tool which goes with it too?

What tool is this? The mountune handset?
Doesnt this come with the package?

What torque mount would you recommend @Lewisrowezer
