This was a perfect tutorial Wes. Everything I need to know to make a stamp without any non essential information. If I was following along I’d probably have to pause occasionally, but I am confident with what was presented I’d nail it. I also enjoyed the trademark humor and graphics that you added. Absolutely perfect.
+ManCraftingTM Hey, thanks Chad! I appreciate that! I hope people will get some mileage out of the video here!:) Hopefully I add enough humor or interesting bits that people will want to watch even if they don't have a CNC yet. :) Cheers!
Good tutorial Wes... I talked to a bunch of the art cam developers out in Boston. I need to get a copy and start experimenting. It looks pretty powerful.
The day that was announced, I was more than a little bummed out... But Autodesk really stepped up... For all active users (I was about half way thru my year subscription) they granted a perpetual license! So now it is a double edged sword, as in, I never have to change from using it, but no new people can ever try it out, which is a total bummer. I haven't seen anyone selling old copies or anything. :(
Yeah, I definitely think firmer is better for CNC'ing.. this stuff was alright until it got to tiny details. Using a laser engraver is definitely the way to go for stamps!
@@Geeksmithing Hmm, I have a laser as well, just a little 6W one though. Didnt even think about using it because of the smell =) Thanks for the video and help.
@@twopecker well there is a special rubber specifically designed for lasering. Definitely don't use just any old material. I also have a video for it in my channel... Not sure a 6w is powerful enough though....
Hey Wes, do you mind if I use some snippets from this video and showcase it on our new show The Maker Report? You'll get full credit and links back to everything.
@@Geeksmithing Thanks man! I'm trying to get my hands on a copy of ArtCam, but apparently Autodesk discontinued it... I thought it was gonna be easier to setup this file lol.
Apparently I’m missing your uploads. Hit the Bell!
Haha! As infrequent as they are, that's a travesty!! 😂😂😂
This is an old one too!! 😂

Geeksmithing I did.

Good tutorial
@@Linfinite thanks!!! Are you an artCam user?
We just got a cnc for Christmas and just got it to work (it was a kit). Can't wait to try my hand at stamp making :D Thanks for the tutorial!
Morton's Farm oh nice!! Congrats!!! Let me know if I can help out. Cheers!

Yeah, I have started to get into it! Some of the workflow is a bit odd compared to other software I have used, but I'm starting to get the hang of it.
This is awesome. I'm getting my CNC later today and can't wait to try this out!
Make or Break Shop YES!! :) Thanks for checking it out!:)
What feeds and speeds do you use when cutting the rubber?
Simple tutorial with great instructions.
MakeTinkerShare thanks Marc for checking it out!!
Good tutorial. I saw these on your Instagram post. Super cool.
Make Build Modify Thanks dude! Trying to get more videos out.. Been super slacking this year....
thanks for taking the timeto explain this!
My pleasure!👽👍
This was the first vid I watch on this channel and it was pretty cool, I got here from Bobbydukeart👍😃
Blue Llama yay! Thanks for stopping by! Hope you dig some other vids as well!!:)
So now that Artcam is discontinued are you using something else? If still using it is there a work around to where we could still get artcam?

@@Geeksmithing Check out CarveCo, they have brought ArtCAM back under a different guise - carveco.com/
Have you tried different types of rubber? Any better than the others? I usually just end up w/ a mess when I try to carve the soft rubber I have!

Hi, great tutorial, some body tell me why he puts the object in mirror??
If you don't mirror them, then the stamp comes out reversed.
I wish you luck with getting your channel to go big time!
Random Dude Hey, thanks random guy! I hope you find some fun stuff to watch here!:)
Very nice bro
Cheers!

Thanks a lot, man.
Might be better to first cnc cut(mirrored) in plastic or aluminum and then pour silicone rubber?
Do you use ArtCam to control the CNC as well? Or do you import the toolpath into a grbl controller?
Great question! I used ArtCam to create the model and generate the gCode for toolpath. I then used Universal gCode Sender to actually control the CNC.

Way to contribute to the Porg epidemic haha. Great tutorial
+GeekBuilders hahahaha. I just had to... It fit to well!!:)
How do you do your clean up on the stamp
Which cleanup are you referring to? Cutting a stamp on a CNC, there is no cleanup to speak of.
Dude, you dropped a Wilhelm? Oh, also love the stamps!
+Geeks Wood Shop Heck yes I did! ;) Couldn't resist!!
How long did the machine take to make each one?
What material did you use to make the rout out the stamp
Katy Lloyd Hi! Material links for this project are listed in the video description above. Thanks!
what type of material you use to cut the stamp?
It was a V-bit
Ohhh man that's awesome!
Well done
Great tut man! 👍🏼
First also!Nice work Wes, I really like your choices 😀
Thanks Dave!
Great video👍
What CNC do you have?
It's a hand-me-down first gen x-carve that i replaced the arduino/CNC controller on.
How much you charge to make one?
Depends on the size you select. :)
