I give my dogs ice cubes. They spit them out and knock them under the fridge. Hours later they go to try and dig it out from under the fridge. It can be cute till I step on their saliva.

Lol yes sky has seen snow before but kakoa has not so i am excited to see what she thinks of it. Kakoa is definitely the type to just sit out and get soaked but sky likes to stay dry and out of the weather. complete opposites i love it 😄

My husky is broken lol he sun baths in Vegas. He can go in through the doggie door any time he wants but he loves the heat for at least 2 hours a day. And he is a baby in the cold up at my cabin in northern Arizona where it gets pretty cold but not what you'd think Huskies would think is cold.

Robert brown same here. He’ll be on our deck panting and laying down as if he’s having a heat stroke but he refuses to come in. I have to bribe him with treats lol. I haven’t seen him in the winter yet as we just took him in

Shes a purebred Agouti Siberian Husky... *not* a mix. The owner has described her rare breed many times.

On a curiosity note, kakoa is not "pure" in the classical sense, right? She is a cross between a German shepherd with a husky? Never seen this kind of coat before

There is not much to know, tzey eat, fart, walk, shit, thats all
Huskies are beautiful dogs, but are a lot of work. They also love to whine/cry about everything.
sv rocks 3 their like babies in some way. But talk about being a wonderful loyal companion
They are not people pleasers like a labrador..We have a rescue husky .He is lovable and handsome..until he has something to guard..A piece of cardboard, a glove,a bone..Turns into a viscous bastard...We have learned to live with him and he is getting better as he gets older..He is still tied up in the house because he gets jnto trouble all the time.We are home with him all day and he gets at least 4 walks..Don't get a husky unless you have a lot of knowledge of training and have tons of time for walking and playing..

my German shepherd WOULD just eat all the ice if she hears the ice machine go off then she will run it from upstairs run down the stairs slip on the kitchen floor and get a piece of ice if you don't give her any she'll cry for whole 5 minutes

@Skittycat 7000 You can't really give them a haircut. Huskies have a double coat, and clipping it causes a lot of problems as it grows back in. :)
They actually need their double coated fur because it helps them stay cool in a way, and protects them from the sun
@Skittycat 7000 they can't get shaved or cut like other dogs. Their double coat helps repel snow, ice, dirt, sun, ect. And if you cut it, it can grow back in patches or going in all different directions instead of the way it should be.

Cute, but be careful. When it s hot outside and dogs eat or drink cold stuff, their brain think the body needs to be warmed up... so it increase the internal temperature... witch can be dangerous when its already hot outside.

That's true for humans as well. For food to be processed it has to be body temperature. If one consumes something cold the body heats up to get the food's temperature up. Combine that with hot weather...

HUsky can handle ice and snow no problem, even sleep in it but when it's hot outside don't cool off your dog instantly, it can cause the blood to stoll with heart attacks as result because the body is confused and is heating up. Cooling mats are safer and i use a babypool too where they can dip in. Mine also sleeps on a wet towel inside when it's a sauna.
