Aw, they're so cute! They always have such unique voices! What really gets K'eyush singing are certain adverts on TV, but then he is weird! What you need to do once you've got them singing is praise them lots, get excited, and say 'sing' or whatever word you want to use. Talking back and encouraging the howling so they know you like it.
I'm not sure what other ways will start the singing other than the ones you've tried, but keep exposing Kakoa to other dogs howling and she might pick it up. She still looks young, so she might just be a late talker :)

I mean, some huskies just aren’t vocal. My puppy ( six months ) never makes a Peep unless he wants out of his crate in the morning. Our other foster/ rescue who just left to his forever home, never once barked or howled. I got him to let out a little howl one time when he really wanted a treat and was being too stubborn to do tricks haha. Honestly with all the huskies I’ve taken in only one ever was a talker.

German Shepherd/Owczarek Niemiecki - Major I know I wish I could get them to talk and howl more on command I’ll have to work with them on that as a trick they know that would be really cool 😃 German Shepard’s are super smart Major would probably learn quick

Huskies' behavior are similar to wolves, so they don't really obey humans and they don't do what humans would want them to do as much as other canine species.
German Shepherd/Owczarek Niemiecki - Major, try ambulance noises. I have a GSD named Dash. He does not howl to toys food or other howls. Not tilt his head. However if they are actual ambulance police or fire truck noises around, he howls :)

I've seen videos of other huskies to start howling when they hear an musical instrument. Saxophone seems to do the trick with most huskies. You could try that. Good luck! 😊
Jan Bos Thank you Jan, I know right I just want my huskies to be more talkative I love talking with them!! That’s a great idea about using an instrument, I read something on that as another trick to try. I’ll have to try that one soon 😃

try two things: a harmonica or get two squeaky toys going at once, but off cadence from each other. gets my dogs every time
michelle fodor great idea! I didn’t think of the squeaker toy mainly cuz Kakoa just tilts her head at squeakers lol but I’ll have to try that soon! 😃

What I have found is combining tactics helps, like dangling the toys and howling at them! Also harmonica helps sometimes! I know by now you probably got her to howl I just havent watched enough of your videos.
Kakoa: First of all Dad...that's not a tail, that's my pom pom! I'm a cheerleader not a doggo! 2nd.....I'm a Diva but not the Mariah Carey type! 3rd....well dang...I forgot! I'll get back to you on that one! Oh I remember! Those sounds are everyday noise...give me something to cheer about! :-)))))

I think with Kakoa it'll be when tou least expected. Something maybe when traveling, maybe a situation she'll see and then it cones out. She'll come around. Sky is there.

She's gonna be a late barker/ howler. I just kept laughing with the sirens sounds and they just fell over no interest! Loved it.!!! She'll come around. They love you and your wife so much why bark or howl. Take care, God bless.

I think that you guys understand your huskies so well that they do NOT feel the need to bark, beg, etc. IMHO, it's a testament to your relationship and treatment of your huskies.

I've had the same dog for 14 years and I caught her howling once last year because she thought she was home alone, first time I've heard her in her entire life! when I wanted my second dog to make noise I had to train apart from my first dog. My first dog is more vocal. Years later, my second dog is still quieter inside but is now the first to make noise if he hears something outside.

Our 3 year old female Siberian doesn't howl either but she has an extremely unique bark that's kind of a cross between a bark and a howl. She is very vocal - specially when food is involved. I've only heard her howl twice in the three years she's been in our family - once when she heard a siren and the other time when she saw a cat perched on are wall in the backyard. She's stubborn, mouthy and extremely mischievous and we absolutely love her. Unlike any other dog breed that I've known personally. We're actually considering adopting another one.

None Nonie If you only have silicon or rope toys she may not be interested, try a stuffed animal 😂😂 My pupper Chimi couldn’t care less for silicon bones, ropes, or squeaks. She only plays with stuffed animals because the furry feeling allows them to activate their hunting instinct and gets them excited to play!! Just a small plushy should do it!
