Had plantar fasciitis over 15 years ago. My PT used Ultrasound, extreme stretch and actually found a pressure point that released the entire area. Not certain what or why, but he built me a custom orthotic that had a nodule which pushed the pressure point and over time seems to have “cured” my plantar fasciitis! I’m 62 and have zero problems with it now. 🤷🏼‍♀️

thanks guys for taking the time to do these videos to help those of us with this problem. i read a lot of reviews about the socks not being tight enough to help. after this video, i understand the reason for the socks is to keep the foot from pointing and preventing the foot from contracting and keeping it in a flat position, thank you both

I was scheduled to go into surgery for plantars fasciitis and l used elastic tennis wrist bands on my feet at night. It was an immediate game changer. Then over the course of approx. 1 1/2 months while taking my morning shower l would stand on tip toes for 5 second repetitions of 25 to 30. While bracing myself with my hands against the shower wall. Also when sitting l would cross my leg over the other and begin to rotate my foot in circular motions left and right to strengthen further and reset the bones in my feet. After 1 1/2 mos. I told my shocked doctor that l no longer needed surgery.

not sure above will work or not but sharing my experience.
I suffered from plantar fasciitis for around 3 years. I tried stretching, physio, night sprint and ice for around 2 years without much relief. After that, I tried a steroid injection as advised by a renowned doctor but after 6-month more intense pain returned. One of the doctors advised me to reduce weight and wear a “doctor extra soft slipper”. As I can’t wear slipper to the office, I bought a pair of gel nimbus as advice over the blogs. **And surprisingly, the pain was gone within 10 days of the use of gel nimbus and doctor slippers. **I just made sure to wear either the show or slippers and never walked barefoot. Gel Nimbus 22 was expensive but worth each penny, but not sure about latest nimbus versions.

I regularly run on sand at the beach barefoot. There's a few different you can do on sand:
a.) wet sand(hard): if you want to simulate longer distance without running longer distance
b.) mushy wet sand(soft): if you want to avoid any stress concentration on your feet, impact is spread evenly. You can also focus on "driving your feet straight down" for a more quad workout, or even pull your toes back and "kick the sand forward" to allow the arches to stretch back.
c.) dry sand(very soft): if you want to run harder and burn more calories at a slower and shorter distance, not recommended if you have any knee issues.

Bob & Brad, I have CECS (Chronic Exertional Compartment Syndrome) in both shins and also now Plantar Fasciitis. If I have my foot dorsiflexed for too long during a belt stretch for my calves, I can often feel the CECS pain starting up. I'm wondering if the night splint/sock would be safe due to this issue? Thanks!

I’ve been suffering from plantar fasciitis on and off for 3 years now and recently it has got really bad. I have almost tried everything and nothing seems to work. Not tried the night splint though as heard it’s uncomfortable to sleep with but I’m so desperate that I will give it a go.

Been dealing with PF in my right heel since mid-May. Age 56. Never had the issue before, but I do wear inserts for metatarsalgia (mainly for my left foot). The PF never fully goes away, despite following various treatments you guys have mentioned in past videos. Stretchings, massagings, iced water bottle rolling, etc. I normally walk 2-4 miles/day. There was a two week period where I had to completely stop my walks. And a partial compression sock for PF was too uncomfortable. I’ll go for five days of almost healed (pain level 1 or 2) but then it’d flair up again. So far, for several days now, using 1/4” foam heel inserts in my shoes (on top of my metatarsal insoles), plus continued stretches and icing has helped... but not completely. If things don’t improve after another week or two of this, I think I may have to get some sort of (comfortable) foot splint that you mention here. Thanks for your video (all of your videos, actually)! 👍🏻 My PCP recommended you guys when I was dealing with a left hip flexor issue last summer after attempting yoga again after not doing it for 20 years. 😆ouch!😆

What about addressing lower leg muscles to treat PF? There’s evidence that PF is a ‘symptom’ of lower leg muscle inefficiency / weakness and issues which is causing PF. (??)

I had a C5 C6 injury two and a half years ago. Not only are both my feet pointing down one of them is also twisted. I've been trying to use the stiff plastic shoe to calf kind of splints. Getting the Twisted one inside the splint is very very difficult and it wants to quickly twist back out if I can get it in. Sitting up I can keep them on for a long amount of time maybe three hours. But laying down after 2 hours my legs start to spaz a lot. The physical therapist and I have been working for about a week on this. But of course I have to take the weekend off , my hands won't allow me to put the hard splints on by myself. The Device you show looks like something I could do independently. Should I continue trying the hard splints or perhaps use the one that you are showing? Also 6 days a week with a restorative aide and I use a electric bike pedal for 15 to 30 minutes. This seems to help somewhat , to loosen my ankles.

In bed they swoll so fast and huge it was hard to get previous loose splints off. The pain and swelling lasted all day the next day. They went down a bit but we're still bad. The next time they were so much better.😳😩jenn

What I discovered trying to find one of these socks through a medical supply store is that apparently manufacturers do not believe women, especially petite ones, get plantar fasciitis. The only ones I could find were for children or men. They were too small or too long for my calf and cut the blood circulation off behind my knee. So what is the issue with manufacturers?

The sitting back on my calves with toes on the floor and trying to get all the way down has seemed to help stretch the foot and it helped. I tried the night splint recommended here but it didn't really work. I think I need to put buckles on it bc the Velcro one doesn't get tight enough and the velcro loses it's stick
