Is there a setting for this to work from the IPhone app video camera ? Or I need to have an another video camera app to film?
It should work straight from the iphone video camera app. I just used the app because it showed very clearly that an external mic was being used.
Can you please do a video from unpacking the microfono up to the recording the video from RUclips ?
I mean what they give you in the packet and you have to buy extra?

Thought I had it for a sec.. then I rememebred I have it for my MacBook, but the iPhone XR has no USB-C

Hi i just downloaded the app and the mic is not working far range. It doesn’t say external mic at the top either. It just says built in mic. Everything is connected and i put it on 0 db as well
Hmmm... We may have to do some troubleshooting. Does it work at close range? How do you connect the mic? Usb or Audio (AUX cable)?

1) Can I use the Aux that came in the box with the adapter and not the usb? would it still be the same
2) When your recording the video can you change the frame rate of the video to 60 in the video like you can in the normal camera mode on iphone.
3) Is MOTIV video the original and only software that RODE uses.

1) I don't know if this particular adaptor would take audio input from the AUX cable but if you have a way of testing beforehand, please test it.
2) MOTIV Video does let you change the frame rate as far as I remember.
3) MOTIV is not the original software for Rode. It's actually made by SHURE. I just used MOTIV video because it helped to clearly indicate that an external microphone was being used. It would work with the native camera app as well.

How do you cut out background audio
You can do that using audio editing tools. They won't completely remove background noise but they will help to reduce it. Capcut has a background noise removal feature you can test out.

You can use both mics at the same time to record on stereo.
Is that the SC19 adapter?
Hi @emack41971. It's not the SC19 adapter. The SC19 is a lightning to USB-C cable. This is the USB-A to USB-C cable that came with the microphone. I then added a separate lightning to USB-A adaptor. Hope this helps

“Wireless” mic , then shows cords being used 😭😭
🤷🏾♂️ Partially wireless I guess but it does help when you need to be far from the camera and still get crisp audio

Have you used the iPhone to USB converter? Can you describe how you connected it?

It keeps blinking (it shows two lights showing it’s not connected)

Check that it is the receiver you plugged into the phone and not a transmitter.
@@OreApampahey bro i got the SC21 Cable the new one that is out and it is not working what do you suggest doing i spent £30 and it’s frustrating to not see it work
