You need to get a work permit, that's the only way forward. Once you have a job... you can point to that job as an example of trying to move forward in the US. Good luck man! Rooting for you :)

Aleks, you have great taste in clothing that complements your coloring. Your instincts were right in how to present yourself. Your court hearings will be relatively easy since you have legal representation. Listen to your lawyer(s), they are there to represent your interests. The most important thing about going to court is to be respectful and honest to the court personnel and especially the judge. Your case is one that people are going to be sympathetic towards.
Aleks, you looked fabulous, and I'd say pretty comfortable in that suit. I can imagine you wearing a suit daily to work! Another thought that came to mind, when you can legally work in the US, try modeling. You are natural at it. 🤩

I'm so glad everything worked out. I don't know much about the asylum process, but I was at least hoping for you to be approved for the work permit today. Not sure why you have to go back to court in August? And of course, Steven's cameo is priceless ❤️
I look forward to when you can travel around USA and maybe someday visit in Wisconsin, but don't come in Winter because then it is the same as Siberia!
Here in Uk ties are rarely worn. But yes maybe in courts they are worn. I have many ties and I used to like wearing them especially with a nice suit… your shoes looked very smart also.

Yes, the suit and tie (or at least jacket and tie) is expected--maybe not absolutely required, but expected--and you chose a very nice one. But apart from finding out the date of your next setting, you didn't tell us what happened. Why did they want to see you? Did they just want to make sure you hadn't run away?
Yes! Alex I too would like to know what the process is . What happened today and what will happen in August? Did you meet the Judge today or just meet your attorneys ? Was a petition drafted? Filed? What are the steps you must complete?
You look fantastic in that light blue suit and the haircut is perfect. A man with impeccable taste! Also, you could not have landed in better hands than with Steven and Heather. They are truly wonderful people!

How many hearings do you have to go to or do you know??
You look very nice. That suit was a good choice for you. A tip for using cologne - spray it in front of you and walk into it. That way you don't get a concentrated spray on your clothes and maybe ruin the cloth. You can also do this in the nude, and then the scent will be there, but not very heavy. Or, spray on your wrists. Again, the scent will be there, but not overpowering. Americans are weird about smells. 😄 Continued good luck on your immigration process.

great suit. but the solid black / midnight blue tie is too formal for that suit. try a lighter tie. you want it to blend in and look cohesive.
Aleks looks great no matter what he wears. I personally like the dark tie with a lighter color suit. It looks good on him. Aleks is young and does not need to fit the norm.
