4x8 HOn3 Model Railroad: Georgetown Loop
HTML-код

- The Georgetown Loop was completed in 1884 and was designed to connect the towns of Georgetown and Silver Plume via rail, so that the silver mined in Silver Plume could be brought east to refineries and smelting facilities. It later served primarily as a tourist railroad, since the value of silver dropped dramatically in 1893. Today the Loop has been restored as a tourist railroad, and remains an enormously popular attraction in Colorado. This 4 by 8 foot layout depicting the Loop in HOn3 scale took about 2 years to complete, and captures the manner in which the line gains significant elevation over a short distance. #train #modelrailroad #modeltrains #colorado #railway

Very nicely done!
Beautiful layout!
The loop can be done perfectly to scale on a 4x8 in Nn3. I just don't have 32 square feet to spare in my residence.
Lovely!
Beautiful railroad layout! Looks realistic. 😍
Such a beautiful layout! Thank you for sharing!
This is outstanding! I rode the train a few years ago with the family. You nailed it! You get to have the Georgetown Loop at home!!!
Nicely done scenery! It shows clearly how the loop works. 😊
Really great layout! I love a layout that doesn't have buildings or houses or people, Ralistic and natural scenery.
Amazing track, and the train sounds truly immersive. I would love to see if you could add a small station to it
WOW ... 😳 ... Hats Off ... Gorgeous Layout 😁👍
Great model of the loop love it👍
I actually got to ride that one on a trip from Oregon to Denver! Good job. That must be a crowd pleaser at shows!
Pretty awesome continuous run layout. Singular focus on scenery with the large bridge looping over itself and the river being the major focal point. The run through all this epic scenery seems likes something you only get out of a larger layout, but you were able to do it in an 4X8 with that singular focus. This is like the opposite extreme of what other folks do with singularly focused industrial switching layouts (with no continuous running opportunity) that pack operations with industries in a small space but with a level of scale and detail seen on larger layouts.
Thank you so much! Capturing the feeling of this location through the scenery was definitely the main goal!
Very well done for such a small space! I would love to ride the real thing someday.
Beautifully done!
That's awsome, excellent selective compression, makes me feel like I'm at home in Georgetown.
The bridge on the Georgetown loop is called the Hell Gate High Bridge. The one that stands now is a much more structurally sound recreation of the original.
I said I wouldn't nitpick but hell, it needs a train crew, passengers and a coal load...otherwise it's totally awesome!
Beautiful, wouldn't mind that it is also broadcasted at our channel!
By all means! I’d be honored to let you share it!
@@historicalmodeler1483 that 's very nice of you! Sent me an email please so we can arrange it nicely and I can give you acces to our website for free!
Nice layout, although access to that door and desk behind could be an issue!
Thank you so much! I’m still able to squeeze around it fortunately 😂
Are those real stones?
Most of the rocks are made out of plaster using rock molds, but some of the smaller stones are real.
