Got it Wednesday at Walmart. Honestly I haven't watched the one before this. But as a Baby boomer. I have all the movies. The original one in a box set. The Mark Wahlberg one and the newest ones. This winter plan on watching all back to back
I think we got another Disney Atmouse track on this one. Watched it last night and the LFE was almost nonexistent. Also had to crank up the volume 4 decibels higher than normal. Too bad because I enjoyed the movie overall...
Disney Atmos is like YOOHOO, it aint Nestle's Chocolate Milk but its alright. I always have to turn up my sound system a few numbers higher for disney atmos for some reason. Maybe they are using water and not milk like other studios.🤣
Good movie and a solid first step in a new trilogy, I'd put it on par with Rise. Agreed the 4K is great and the pre-vis version is excellent and I really hope that extra catches on. Thanks for the vid.
They hate paying for it im sure haha. And they are one of the few studios i think that locks their atmos behind 4k discs only. when other studios give you atmos on blurays, disney says HELL NAH. you want atmos? buy the 4k bish! 😂
Ah i didnt realize this was disney. Makes sense as to why i had to crank up volume. I found the atmost pretty underwhelming, which is a big disappointment.
I doubt it. if they were the audio would be better. He gave it an A. I would give it a solid B since you would have to turn it up to get the same room filling sound opposed to Sony releases that have superior audio. Thats my opinion at least.
The old movies had surprise and mystery. These new films just don’t capture the same feeling. I still remember seeing the Statue of Liberty and being blown away. Definitely picking up though.

Yes, I too found that the volume had to be turned up pretty much in general for all the sound of the movie, not only Atmos.

is the raw cut on the blu ray optional, can you watch the theatrical cut on the blu ray that come with the 4k?
NO. The 4K has the theatrical cut and the bluray has the raw cut (a split screen of the finished movie and the vfx version)..
