I have Covid rebound now. I’m 63 years old. Took Paxlovid for five days starting on day one of my symptoms and positive test. Once I finish the Paxlovid I felt good for two days,by the third day, I was sick again. My symptoms are much more intense,I am on day 11 and still very symptomatic and Covid positive.

They call it rebound but I think it could be that 5 days of paxlovid is not enough to destroy all the virus and so it multiplies again. A 10 day course may be the answer but doctors aren't allowed to prescribe that!!

I believe the problem is simply that the 5 day course is too short. Simple as that.

The studies that it reduces hospitalizations is greatly manipulated & flawed, too, as evidenced by real-world evidence -- especially in the current iterations of C-19, which hospitalizes hardly anyone. Those who are counted as "hospitalized" with C-19, as mostly just that. They are in the hospital for X, Y or Z, but happen to have C-19 as well.

Wish I had seen this before I took paxlovid, because I went out of isolation too soon and exposed my family just before Christmas. 😢

74 yo paxlovid day2 helped reduce covid symptoms but I never tested negative during or at end of regime. Now at day11 still positive. Symptoms are manageable
