Its sales in 🇿🇦 was stopped long ago, as the W463 models took over, first the G350d, then G400d, both with the same OM656 2.9l straight six engine. The 3.0l V6 OM642 Bluetec was discontinued in 2017. People get confused between these models. It is easy to discern when you apply your mind.

I would prefer manual gearbox. Why do they install only an automatic one?

There is a reason why every military uses automatics. It thinks faster and protects the engine. I have seen my own Toyotas' manual 'boxes fail in the city. It isn't better than a good torque converter automatic.
