My gunfights are pretty okay in the dms but when I go ranked I get dizzy insanely fast and it makes me lose a lot of gunfights that I would have won if I was not distracted by all the other stuff going on in my head.
when you play ranked be kind to yourself, if you die in a gunfight try to think about what went wrong in it. another part of mentality is being positive in vc, i know it seems silly but most ppl i meet in game are super chill and it helps take the edge off.

Don't duel (in game) with a person to be better than them... but duel to a better version of yourself. Try defeating your past worse self than defeating that person in your lobby
I find in Silver that there's advanced theory play with suboptimal gunplay. I can fake, lurk, default, count util, track where players should be, predict how the enemy plays, but I can't always shoot or react to it. Practicing my aim and mechanical tech is where I lack.
It's important to take these as general guidelines, rather than an actual rank accurate assessment. For me I know that even tho I was diamond, my aim was dogshit and working on it for two weeks got me to Ascendant. I still need improvement as a 0.9kd Reyna player 😭😭
Immortal player here. Love these kind of vids. However, I think to say that you should only start to learn how to default in Immortal + is not correct. That's something you should be learning in Diamond minimum and as you climb higher like in Ascendant, you start to apply those strategies more consistently and effectively. That's part of what got me to Immortal personally.
We need a guide from you on picking a main role or agent. I've been struggling to figure out what agent/role I'm good at. Sometimes I'm able to carry on a certain agent and other times I get owned. If you could explain a bit on general playstyles, and what type of a player suites what role kinda thing it would be helpful. Plus there are not good videos on this topic except charla7an's video, where he just explains his opinion on "what agents will help you improve fastest" kinda thing.
you will never genuinely just instantly be good at an agent and find an agent perfectly suited and intuitive for you. in my opinion it’s best to play a role that already somewhat fits your playstyle and a role you find ENJOYABLE. if you enjoy it you’ll be much more motivated to improve
Thing is, I'm hardstuck between plat 2 and plat 3, always ranking up and deranking and I cant really know why. Sometimes I get immo smurfs but I dont try to blame it on them since I cant do anything about it (even though it is a major problem in many video games including valorant) I've watched hundreds of videos on valorant trying to improve but there is just this one root cause which I'm clueless about. I didnt play this game for years started to play ranked on the hard reset and got placed into diamond 1, went on a 12 winstreak solo que everygame my teammates where just smarter and knew how to hold angles and get info. Got to ascendant 3 80rr and then lost 6 in a row every game i had 1 or 2 teamates afk for the first 3 or 4 rounds, had teammates who said im going to make sure we lose then throw. I think its all good with improving your own mechanics and gameplay but it still doesnt stop any losses that you will get from the coin flip. Iv had consistently immortal 2s and 3s go 2 and 20 in these games and have no knowledge of what you expect that rank to have. Which just says to me ranked means nothing i dont think there is any difference between any of these levels maybe at radiant and most imm 3 players but everything else under is just a huge coinflip and no major difference in the skill gap

do you have valoplant? check your valoplant and see whats wrong, what decisions you made are resulting in the lost rounds and where are you taking your 1v1s. there are "favourable" 1v1s and "nonfavourable" 1v1s, meaning there are specific 1v1s that you would win 60~80% of the time, and there are 1v1s that you are lucky that you even won it. understanding that would shoot you up directly to middle of imt 2
If it’s 1s, you probably have bad aim, lack confidence, or have bad positioning/movement. You should try and figure out which one it is and try to fix it
I feel my progression was so different xd. I went to diamond on tryharding aim/mechanics only. And to asc by making my comna better and calling macro for teammates. That's where I am now. I never one tricked agent but I mainly play duelists/flash initiators. Maybe that's what is holding me back now, I feel like I got it a bit backwards xd. you dont need to 180. If you have gamesense and util then there is no way for you to 180, unless jett dash, satchel, omen tp, etc, which 2 swipes to 180 is enough

when i was in gold, i match mvpd every single game, i had a 1.5 kd, 31% hs, and i would always lose more rr than i gained, i simply couldn't get out, i mad e anew account got placed a little higher than my rank, but still match mvpd all my placements every game but one, nd climbed my way to immo1 in that season, i think if you have most of these things down and you still arent climbing and losing to much, just make a new account.
