Coming from CS it's wild to me that some Val players completely unbind Crouch lol, ofc two different games but I've definitely noticed instances where you 100% benefit from crouching in Val.
For crouch movement - I can't remember where I saw this but there's a similar technique where you barely tap crouch in the middle of a wide swing, it basically tricks the opponent into thinking you're stopping and committing so they shoot, but by the time they've reacted, you already let go of crouch and you're swinging wider past their shots and you get an easy kill.
can’t wait for someone to bring me a coaching session of them holding down crouch for 4 seconds while spraying an entire mag and then saying “it’s what primmie does”
Okay so yes this couch peak and crouch tapping during fights can work but depends on the rank. At the ranks of these pros, all of them are pre aiming head level so it throws them off. However, at lower ranks not many have the head level preaim. They usually are off a little and sometimes that crouch peak can line your head up with their pre aim. Just a thought
atp theres no difference in crouching or not crouching, if the crosshair placement is inconsistent then it will be random regardless, but is a good habit to learn for when or if you reach high elo. unless ofc you're silver then everybody will be aiming at the ground so mayb this would be bad lol
gratz on the razer bucks :P, primmie is a beast, not only he's incredibly fast at killing but also hard to hit and very thorough with his angle clearing
Aspas is the GOAT. Primmie is a good player and very promising, but comparing him to Aspas is a bit strange considering the few games he has as a professional.
Derke is known for his crouch peaks. He commits to the crouch shots almost every fight he takes even against multiple enemies, but he's really good at making readjustments when doing so it can be hard to notice.
basically when he reaches the deadzone he crouches for that time. he is always moving. as much as you can in this game while being to fire sometimes. so he is always moving and can shoot. crouching moves you but dosent have any shooting error added.
This type of crouching in gunfights is very common in Destiny pvp which is a game I played a lot before Valorant. But it also doesn’t have the same movement mechanics as Valorant and overall is more movement based. Its cool to see someone in vct with that nostalgic gunfight style
I got this "spam crouch" thing from Eggster after watching a lot of his videos and have started to implement it within my gameplay, can absolutely guarantee I've been winning way more 1v2 gunfights due to me staying alive longer. Went from plat 2 to dia 3 in 2 weeks, if you're a player who wants to improve their overall gameplay mechanics- I would definitely suggest to try and practice crouching! still keep in mind that Spray Crouching is still something that will screw you over more than benefit, try finding the balance in strafing Whilst crouching a lil? Crouch peeks saves you from getting headshotted. Crouch peeking give you an even more peekers advantage, the more you move you dodge bullets. Crouch peeking forces you to always adjust your aim making it more accurate since it makes you ready to micro adjust
i noticed when the initiating gunfight crouch eggster does the same thing, and since starting to do that ive caught alot of people off guard and won more gunfights by them not expecting it
Crouching into your peek to throw off your opponent’s aim was a CS thing too. Crouch spammers were so devious that they added crouch “fatigue” into the game 🤣
this is old school cs 1.6 movement tech, but the way valorant feels that's why most people avoid it cause they commit to the crouch. this is def good tech, and good informative vid!
Another thing that stands out is that a lot of times if he’s holding an angle, he often places his crosshair for an enemy wide peek (further from the edge of the wall where he knows someone might come from.)
