the whole album was Grammy-nominated for 'album of the year' in 1994, and only lost against Whitney Houston's 'The Bodyguard', and, boy, that album is full of gloriosity!!! 'Fields of Gold', 'Heavy Cloud, no Rain', 'Seven Days', 'Everybody laughed but You' and 'Shape of my Heart' - just to name a few...
I am a 70 year old psychotherapist and I can’t tell you how much I enjoy everything about you guys. The joy and love you have for each other would put me out of business if you bottled and sold it. Also your love of music and your vast knowledge makes your reactions the best
Great choice Scott. Being typically resistant to change, it took me years to desert vinyl and buy CDs instead, but eventually I weakened and in 1993 I bought my first CD and it was this album. One could choose any track really, the album is so varied and interesting. I think it's probably my favourite Sting album, although his solo debut 'The Dream of the Blue Turtles' runs it close with another great final track in 'Fortress Around Your Heart'. Fun reaction guys!
Great song selection . I love this album start to finish. My second favorite right behind Nothing Like The Sun. Album of the month worthy. Looks like you both had a great time. Nice Sunday afternoon tune.
You mentioned Day in the Life… Sting actually covered that song and it’s truly one of the best Beatles cover ever. Also since you both clearly love Sting, there’s a concert documentary called Bring on the Night that rewrites the genre. Instead of telling the story of a band during their final days, instead you see Sting put together his new band after leaving the Police. You see them rehearse for their very first gig in a beautiful chateau in France as they get ready for their first show in Paris. The band is great. The sound is exceptional. It’s an inside look at the creative process you never see. Bet my house you’d love it.
Thanks Nick and Lex one of my favorite Sting albums and probably my favorite sting song to sing along with in the car. This song and album were a big part of putting my life back together, once upon a time. I loved your reaction and I don’t think there can really be a thing called Anti - Alexia. As far as I’m concerned there can only be Pro - Alexia. For that matter Pro - Nick sounds right too. Peace and Love everyone and I dig the southwest style yall are sporting. ❤️❤️
Hi guys, love you're channel. My marathon is _. Gary Moore, walking by myself _. Van Halen, In a simple Rhyme , Kiss, Sure know something, and Jethro Tull , Minstrel in the Gallery. Think you'll like em ! Thanks, Steve.👍

Lexi's "WOOO!!!" was so LOUD that she heard it amplified through the Headphones :p. This is my FAVE album from Schhhhting! I was able to see the 2 tours after this album, but wished I saw this one :). His musicians are top-tier (and on this one you have "Vinnie Colaiuta" on Drums!) and his faithful guitarist Dominic Miller. The Production from Hugh Padgham (and Sting) is lush and everything is well separated. Nick, a song where Vinnie shines on the drums and what you were talking about is "Seven Days", with the syncopation, odd-meter and his small splash cymbals. Sting is a MASTER at odd/angular notes but it sounds _normal_ if you aren't looking for it. That is what Stuart Copland talks about with Rick Beato about Sting with the Police & on his own (he basically already had it all in his Head before presenting it to the band). - You may have to do the whole album :). Nice reaction! Thanks again Scott A.!
Great info on the musicians mvunit3, this was a really great lineup. David Sancious on that tasty keyboard solo. I have never had a chance to see Sting live something has always fallen through. Nick did react to Seven Days a little over year ago in Marathon. I did about odd time signatures. Can’t recall the name of the Marathon, but I know it had Scatterbrain by Jeff Beck and Day at the dog races, my Little Feat.
@@scottanderson8420 I may have missed that reaction, figures 🤔. A fun lyric from Seven Days ( I can relate :p) and the play-on-words & double-entendres . . . "The fact he's over six feet ten Might instill fear in other men But not in me, the mighty flea Ask if I am mouse or man The mirror squeaked, away I ran He'll murder me, in time for his tea Does it bother me at all My rival is Neanderthal It makes me think, "Perhaps I need a drink"
Sting is such a great singer and bass player. Not listened to much of his solo work after The Police, but really enjoyed this selection.

Vinnie Coliauta drummer ! Great song and album!
Sting and the closing song of course it's great 👌🏼🫶🏼
My favorite Sting album. ❤

Yes. Completely agree. Their love for each other pours out on each and every video. Adorable.
everything Sting touches is a love of mine! Scott A you always pick for me ..almost..

It’s a toss up for me between those two albums depends on the day and the position of the constellations. A pleasure to be conflicted.
Overall, my fav Sting solo album. There was a great performance VHS/DVD of the whole album filmed at the county house recording studio too
Great song choice Scott! Great album from first song to last and I saw Sting when he was touring with this album-awesome!
👍👍
My Favorite Sting Album ....Well Done 👏🎶🎵
The whole album is a masterpiece, in my opinion his very best album
Great choice, Scott. I still tend to listen to more Police than solo Sting, but this song reminded me about this wonderful album.
Great song choice Scott! Great album closer! Great reaction as always!!
Thanks Eric

That Marathon that had seven days was called fusion time. It’s just Nick, but he’s at his best.
