Ummm, I don't think so. How are they going to control that. It is a product. The average earbud plays at about 130db in your ear. There might be a little warning on your device that says "listening above this level could cause hearing damage", but it isn't regulated or anything.
You don't know what you're talking about Except the limiting factor on the amount of sounds the earbud can produce is the power output by the device it's connected to. But hey, instead of actually talking about it lets reply with insulting comments.
CptSamurai Titling something "You don't know what you're talking about" is fairly insulting, but if it was unintentional then no harm done :) It has to be said though, "That was probably one of the more mild mannered comments I've seen on RUclips today." isn't setting the bar very low :D
Hi Julian, thank you greatly for your videos. A week ago, I was exposed to loud gunshots at a gun range and I only had those small, little foam inserts. I've head a low grade steady tone since then. I have never had tinnitus before. Is it likely that this will subside or vanish? What can I do for a situation such as this?
I never understand when people walk past me with music so loud from their ear buds I can hear it clearly. Are they trying to show off, or are they just stupid? Maybe I just asked the same question twice.
Well... I never put my headphones on full blast, maybe a couple times I did but I never did it on a regular basis. I would put it a little more than half way in the car, but at home, it would be less than halfway, and I play in a band and Orchestra which can get pretty loud... I'm experiencing some stuff in my ears, my left mostly, it feels like a lot of pressure on them, and I think I can hear fine, but it just feels so wierd, every once in a while, I get that high pitched ringing sound in my ear for a few seconds... I'm 13 (yes I'm pretty young) and I've been freaking out lately😳
Go see an ENT(ear, nose, throat doctor) and an audiologist immediately!!! I had similar symptoms when i was around your age. It started out as a high pitched ringing in my ears for a few seconds around the age of 14. The ringing would come and go randomly. I didnt know what was triggering it. A few years later, the ringing would last a few seconds longer and in different frequencies. Mostly high ringing, but sometimes low ones too. And then suddenly, at about 24 yrs old, the ringing became constant, non-stop 24/7. The ringing was enough to disturb my daily activities and I had a really hard time falling asleep too. It got so bad that I had to get hearing aids, and those barely help. It sucks cuz it feels so hopeless knowing that your hearing will never be normal again. I still suffer from the constant tinnitus today. Basically, the ringing is the first sign you're losing your hearing. Do what you can early on to save your hearing because it's not going to get any better; just protect what you have now. Hopefully they find a cure for hearing loss soon
Steve Varghese It's actually starting to ware off and I found out that my horrible alergies were causing it when I forgot to take my alergy meds. And yes sometimes I'll here the ringing in my ear every once in a while but it isn't as bad as when I don't take my alergy med...
hi, im 23 from india. i've sensorinueral hearing loss along with tinnitus since last 7 years which was acquired due to high fever. in the left ear i've severe hearing loss and in the right i've profound hearing loss. does nerve damages means all hair cells are completely destroyed? can anyone suggest me a possible complete cure?
So my mother has tinnitus in one of her ears from when she got beat by a horse when she was a kid. do you think this would be able to help her? she has had multiple surgeries and they have not done anything.
I'm wondering would inhibition of adenosine using caffeine, or inhibition of histamine with quetiapine, or both, create regenerative potential. I've had a lot of both and noise trauma - two years later I'm experiencing encaphillitis, but it changes, as in I feel like it could improve 5% of the time when I hear my ear crackling, then it feels as if my amygdala issues a psychosomatic rebalancing of the brain to ear cytokines through dopamine, then suddenly I'll have an urge to send pressure to the brain by moving my ears and suddenly I'll have silence and cooling, followed by intermittent silence, and then inflammation again. It feels as if histamine regulations are key to the bigger picture, as is nutrition for any potential free radicals in there.
The sad thing is that if they cure hearing loss, people with it won't hear about it...

THanks for great info on how to reverse hearing loss
Should talk about tinnitus
Except most playback devices now have the volume limited to below dangerous levels, it's the same in many countries.
Ummm, I don't think so. How are they going to control that. It is a product. The average earbud plays at about 130db in your ear. There might be a little warning on your device that says "listening above this level could cause hearing damage", but it isn't regulated or anything.
You don't know what you're talking about
Except the limiting factor on the amount of sounds the earbud can produce is the power output by the device it's connected to.
But hey, instead of actually talking about it lets reply with insulting comments.
MiggyManMike How was that insulting? That was probably one of the more mild mannered comments I've seen on RUclips today.
CptSamurai Titling something "You don't know what you're talking about" is fairly insulting, but if it was unintentional then no harm done :)
It has to be said though, "That was probably one of the more mild mannered comments I've seen on RUclips today." isn't setting the bar very low :D
MiggyManMike
That's not a title though, that's his actual youtube name...
Poor mice
Hi Julian, thank you greatly for your videos. A week ago, I was exposed to loud gunshots at a gun range and I only had those small, little foam inserts. I've head a low grade steady tone since then. I have never had tinnitus before. Is it likely that this will subside or vanish? What can I do for a situation such as this?
But its all about that bass :((.
I love EDM
Well I'd imagine. Just look at the size of those ears!
Didn't anyone notice the new Dnews intro music?!
awesome show! I always think about how loud something is, because I don't want to go deaf. ps the end intro sound is weird sounding imo thanx!
My grandfather needs this how long until the cure is ready they don't say. He's half death so he will hear about it.
My left ear makes a weird clicking sound and both of them ring
Clicking is a sign of to much ear wax, you need ear cleaning
Can this treatment get rid of that annoying beep in my head I've had for 10 years now?
Master?
You mean tinnitus? Tinnitus can have many causes, one of them being nerve damage, so both yes and no.
beep? i have tinnitus and would descibe it more as a kinda high pitched humming...
zchr Definitively a beep in my case. I would say about 14,000 Hz.
Henri Zwols Now that is truly annoying my tinnitus isnt nearly that high i can easily cancel it out with other sounds.
I play in a samba band, so this is good news for me.
Steve Varghese shoot, that triggered my anxiety😭
Steve Varghese Thats called tinnitus I'm only 14 and have that constant ringing but I accepted it and I don't worry about it any more.
Steve Varghese It's actually starting to ware off and I found out that my horrible alergies were causing it when I forgot to take my alergy meds. And yes sometimes I'll here the ringing in my ear every once in a while but it isn't as bad as when I don't take my alergy med...
Arlene_Art 101 Its eventually going to become constant and never stop
What if they grow too long, and then everyone has super bushy ear hair....
Braid it.
New shaving products hit the market :p
AppleCore360 That would hurt really bad. Those things are part of your nervous system.
I think the audio on this video is broken.
Even a dog's bark is really loud! I would know! My family owns a dog! Do not go near her face even if she is really adorable!
Why do people hate nickel back?
that's good to hear because when i'll be 50 i'll probably be deaf :)
How are you now after 9 yrs😮?
he might have died@@kirthika2379
hi, im 23 from india. i've sensorinueral hearing loss along with tinnitus since last 7 years which was acquired due to high fever. in the left ear i've severe hearing loss and in the right i've profound hearing loss. does nerve damages means all hair cells are completely destroyed? can anyone suggest me a possible complete cure?
pretty much hearing loss has no cure only hearing aids so far .Im wearing them myself but my hearing is getting bad day by day.
Are they trying out new intro songs again? lol
What about tinnitus though? Would this treatment be able to fix tinnitus since tinnitus is related to hearing loss?
Wait so is it reversible?
So my mother has tinnitus in one of her ears from when she got beat by a horse when she was a kid. do you think this would be able to help her? she has had multiple surgeries and they have not done anything.
I got some hearing loss...I wanna get cured badly ._. how much will this cost?
these puns are killing me
Did the study go any further is there a drug for hearing loss?
It feels as if histamine regulations are key to the bigger picture, as is nutrition for any potential free radicals in there.
i like his voice
