A great way to explain the dampener down to a simplistic level for an average joe like myself. Thank you very much, as I just got one for my 23 KTM 890 Adventure R and wanted info on how to properly set it up.
I agree, absolutely necessary, I always recommend a damper to new riders as there first addition to their bike. ive been riding for 15 yrs and a damper has saved my life more times then I can remember on my sport bikes. currently looking for a good price for one for my new dualsport dirtbike. yes only downfall is they are expensive. but will cost less then the doctor bills and parts if you go down.
I purchased two used ones (Scott's) $250 each and sent back to Scott's for refurbishment( cost $75 each) so far the price of one new one I've got one for each of my bikes. Highly reccomend,,, I wont have another bike without one. It's saved my butt on several occasions from speed wobbles and squared edged roots and rocks. You can't go wrong.
Nice video! question?I need your help I live in Brooklyn NY and I purchased the Scott damper" the bike shop installed it but didn't do it correct & I can't find anyone here that's knows what ther doing! So can u find me someone please ?

Depends on how much you ride and how much you value your life.
It's like saying 1/2 helmet or full face helmet?

Is it only for enduro or also for mx?
are they all the same? Such as is a stabilizer for a street bike the same unit they would use on the dirk bike?
The two are different.
i am really considering getting one on my ktm 250 xc from all the speed wobbles
I have had both those bring me out of situations, I'd much rather pay the $500 for the damper then pay $20k for another heli to the e.r.
it works!!!!
No they are not. Different valving.
its very inexpensive if you crash and have a ambulance plus a heli called
cheaper than a hospital bill.
only problem they are expensive
