    I've owned the Motorola MA1 since it was first available. Matter of fact, I have them in both of my vehicles. I do have to say that I do have issues with the longevity of the product. The 1st dongle I bought constantly dropped connection a little over a year old. I contacted Motorola support and was graciously sent a replacement. Even though technically it was out of warranty. Awesome customer service, and a great product, when it works.
    Fast forward a little more than 7 months with the replacement dongle and I'm starting to have random connection failures again. For those people who might think I'm abusing it somehow, I leave it plugged into the USB port and secured it to the center console. Its ironic that the unit I have installed in my wife's car has had zero issues.

      Which suggests it could be your car /head unit

      @@grimreavers hmm, maybe. But I doubt it. Although I wouldn't put it past this Honda "premium" factory stereo.😂

      @grimreavers, no, it doesn't.
      Moisture, heat, etc can all break down cheap electronics

      From my research online, I see the same issues you describe in the MA1

      Has the same issue here with the MA1. Would constantly disconnect after about a year of usage. Wouldn't recommend as there seems to be a high failure rate with these devices

    the Motorola has not ever had an update software or firmware . there wouldn't even be a way to install it in the first place

    I have owned a Motorola MA1 for about 2 years now. I was very happy at first, but had probably at least one dropout a day, often just when I needed navigation direction at an unknown intersection. After updating my car (but still needing the Wireless Android adaptor) I continued using the Motorola MA1, the one day for some reason it started dropping out and rebooting every 20 to 30 seconds. I have tried deep resets, deleting vehicle connections, phone connections, phone data cash, everything I can find to do. I can't find any way to update the firmware? This device is junk to me now and has burned an enormous amount of time trying to believe it can still be useful.

      I started to have this same issue after 1 year and 6 months. I tried everything and found this is a very common issue with the ma1. I just bought an Ottocast A2air. I will try that out.
