4:00 Retro player here. I played Psychics in 2011 and had a variety of different rulings. Every time I attended a high level event I would have to check with a head judge to figure out how they were going to rule if I was allowed to look at the Esper Girl card. Some judges would allow it saying that since it was my card effect banishing the card, it would be known to me while other judges would say that it was not okay to look at the card. It literally changed multiple times depending on the event and who was head judge. Since this deck was never popular, there was never a definitive ruling given to my knowledge. I personally always look at the card because I think you absolutely should be allowed to look at your own facedown cards.
These guides are a genius idea. By the way, you wrote "Pyschics". PS: You're indeed not allowed to look at the facedown card. That ruling was changed until Ghostrick Reaper.
I used to play this pretty regularly and i remember when it topped i was super stoked. I had been experimenting with grandsoil at the time but felt it was too inconsistent and had settled for a naturia varient with exterio which was pretty brutal at the time.
Tested more targets for synchro fusion, can summon exterio as you can summon naturia beast and barkion, also if you play instant fusion you can play fusionist that is lvl 3 earth so better naturia, and summon musician king to wummon arcanite magician and the summon the arcanite fusion.
Notably, it doesnt matter if you couldnt look at it at the time (its up in the air), but with how mindcrush is ruled, you are indeed allowed to look at it now in say a YCS side event.
I definitely agree with the support Psychics got in Extreme Victory, it should’ve definitely been given more consideration this format. I think for Power Well in this format, the approach would be a lot more Combo-Centric compared to the T.G. version. I think if you were to do Junk Doppel/Quickdraw, the youtuber o37wolf is a great player to bring on since they have a ton of experience with this deck.
I like these in depth guides, keep them coming.
Love this, thank you 🙏🏻 I was just thinking about building this to take my friends by surprise!

Yea well I personally think you should be able to look as well because hovering the card on db would reveal it.

woops got it fixed

@@MunchyHam grandsoil isnt legal in tengu plant
@tcgrewind yeah, I'm just referring to the banish psychics in general. This varient got gutted once plants, tengu, and mind master got hit

That sounds pretty cool

It's a policy vs actual rules update.

I also topped in wind-up format with junk doppel 😉
Junk doppel would be a cool one to cover. Scraps are my favourite deck in the format so I’d love an analysis on them too
Can you do six samurai sir? Thanks in advance. I am a new subscriber here.
It will be a challenge im gonna have to do some digging on the archetype
@@tcgrewind I’d be down to help with that if you need! I played samurais post banlist all the way up to 2012 nationals 💪🏻
Make an Alien guide, I also think they are a deck not meant to played alone, just as a throw in into some of these other decks. a fun time to explore
I gotta do some deep research into the archetype
Just built this and it’s advantage can really Spyral quickly
true its a blast to play imo
How is silent psychic wizard bad at 3? It is a 1900 beater that gets rid of tking lol
@DeHydraInFusion it requires a set up gy to see full value. So it feels less good to open. But running it as a 3 of is probably fine.
Tyler think actualy this deck Is tier 1?
Yes, I would fully trust it in a tournament
Talk about Oracle Heroes
Bro the constant music during the entire video is so annoying. Please turn that down or just remove it and add more editing in.
I can lower it a bit. I try to keep it toned down. It's just there for background sound.
