to the topic of random kids going wild at locals: we had a local where one kid got full exodia in his first 6 twice in one day, while playing exodia and 35 random cards, no searching nor drawing in there and the same day, had another kid playing 46 cards including one poly and 5 random dragons start with that(ofc lone f.g.d. didn't win vs saber) it was one hell of a day, also we didnt find out until after the match, that his deck had 5 dragons, one poly only

I want to say a truly toxic thing about malefic It's pretty fun when you royal tribute for 5 or when you summon a 4k under skill drain and maybe you also have limiter removal😂 I love that deck

35:35 - this is why I've never ordered from Big City or similar sellers. They're like a bulk warehouse retailer and have a laundry list of negative feedback from buyers receiving cards advertised as "NM" which are really far worse than that...pretty much exactly what one can expect of most sellers on TCGPlayer. Even for low-rarity, inexpensive, modern stuff I vastly prefer buying from fellow private collectors whether it's eBay, TCG, Discord, reddit etc.

Doesnt seem worth wasting a COTH on a draw engine. MST at 3 is an easy counter to this and COTH should be used as an extender not a draw engine. Also turns off Gorz because you leave the COTH on the field. Don't see the benefit

Dark mimic lv 1 card text: FLIP: Draw 1 card. During your Standby Phase: You can send this face-up card to the GY; Special Summon 1 "Dark Mimic LV3" from your hand or Deck. It has always been this. The call of the haunted play absolutely works. Ive even protected it with utopia to get the tag. Idk where the confusion is? But hopefully this helps 😂. Also the tag is optional.

If you coth in your draw phase on the lv1 u cannot tag out. Has to be summoned the turn before

dark mimic lv1 only gets to lv3 if it gets attacked specifically by tour guide or agent earth

You mentioned the point and disagree with it but essentially yes: The historical meta had an unmatched test pool. Exactly how many players are actively playing the format right now? Playing a local level event 1000 times with roughly the same handful of people does not alter tiers. Especially this format which I personally deem the best in the game's history (I've played since 2002) where the difference between meta and non-meta is small enough to give a ton of decks a real fighting chance and this makes it harder to distinguish between a better tiered deck or a better player. I think it is fine to not truly know if X deck is strictly better than Y deck in a tier list set in stone. There's a lot of incompatibles to compare and match-ups that shake off data as some might find themselves in a rock/paper/scissors relationship with each other, and people adjust things to counter that and shift representation or people get their own pet decks which they absolutely insist on using and eventually will be topping something once in a while.

As long as maxx c is in the format itll always be hard to gain momentum. I want to build a tengu deck but my locals is mainly goat and Edison with one person I play hat with and even with regards to hat I cant get past the maxx c problem when trying to get others to play and its the same with tengu

I agree edison is very sacky and it kind of tricks people into thinking it is a fair format because of how slow it feels but the more you play the more you realize alot of the decks are absolutely broken and the format gets stale fast.

I totaly agree, I prefer by far tengu plant format over edison or hat formats, I tooked 3-4 decks to the euwcq and there were any tengu plant format and I was quite disapointed …

Worm Drake is an Earth, but it might be worth it for Gigantes (a 1 drop chaos summon for a single Earth monster) who is essentially Heavy Storm while your opponent controls a 1900 or more, and a beater when they have don't. On that note, Radiant Spirit can be summoned from W Nebula Meteorite because it is generic to Light Reptiles, it's Dark Hole for everything except Lights upon being destroyed by battle. I don't think it's better than King because King is a Xex target and is an optional 1 tribute drop in hand instead of 2 but it's worth pointing out.
