Phil Steele in my opinion does the most exhaustive research on college football! He has the SEC D line rankings as follows! 1. Da Aggies, #2, da Dogs, #3. da Vols, #4, Ol Miss, bamo #14 fexas #18? Huge question mark! OU #6. da Aggies #7???? I know you are a fexas homer, but to be so biased to rank A&M as # 7 in the SEC gives less creedience on what you say! Just IPO! I wonder, going forth, what will be your unit rankings for all groups in da SEC!!! I will await!

OU’s defensive line is the best in the SEC, but nobody has the stones to say so publicly because it would rub against the narrative that OU isn’t SEC ready… Truth be told, the proof will be in the pudding, anyway. In the end, I welcome the disrespect from throughout the league. It hasn’t gone unnoticed, and serves as even more motivation for these players

@@matthewmiller8758 I’ve covered college football as a journalist for two decades, and can call out my school’s flaws when they are there without problem. Fact of the matter is, Oklahoma’s D-Line was a problem for Texas on the edges and in the interior last season, and it significantly improved in both areas. You’ll have to explain to me how the additions of two freshmen - even Colin Simmons and Zina Umeozulu - on their own gives Texas an advantage on the edges, never mind the fact we’re talking about a league where the interior line play (trenches ) are regarded as the biggest key to success.
@@HOF-CFB i mean Trey Moore being added is pretty big seeing as everyone in the country wanted him. He had over 20 sacks and 30tfl the last two years. Ethan Burke was good last year and I expect an even bigger year since halfway through the year he tore his mcl. You already mentioned Simmons but i would be willing to bet he has 5-6 sacks as a freshman. I think the interior is being discarded because of who we lost but Alfred Collins is still a good player. Not Murphy or sweat but definitely a B player overall. I also think we have 3-4 other guys who are solid C+ to B- type players that will eat up space and allow the edges to eat. I didn’t even mention the obvious guy in Barryn Sorrell who is great vs the run and Colton vasek who was all the talk during spring
The worst DL at lsu, yet they had 3 DTs drafted in last draft. Doesn't that signal an alarm for you? LSUs defensive woes last year was NOT on the jimmies and joes. Tigers been recruiting the same defensive dogs as before. It was all on Xs and Os. Hell by the time the season started the DLine was on its THIRD position coach of the offseason. The guy that was the season coach had never coached DLine before. Bo Davis and Kevin Peoples will have the DLine in good shape for '24. The edge guys coached by Peoples goes a solid 2 deep at each position. Add ed DLine recruit that was the star of spring game. Many recruiting dudes that cover LA on the regular thought Reliford was the top DLine prospect in LA. Even above the 5* DT McKinnley. Bo Davis will have an experienced 2 deep at DT, 2 6th year and 2 5ht years guys that have seen the field every year and ALL have starting experience.

Why i have my explanation. Texas has better edges and Ou has a better interior. I think Texas has better edges by a wider margin than Ou has edges?
