About six or seven years ago, having been smitten with a dose of flu, I started to watch WML and, soon after, TTTT. It's been haunting me ever since that I wrote a slightly disparaging comment about Bud Collyer. This was, remember, after being totally convinced that John Daly was the best quiz show host ever. I wish I could take that comment back! Although Bud and I would certainly disagree in our views on politics and religion, he is the kindest and gentlest of men, very funny, and very much the owner of a 'brand' all his own. If anyone sees my previous comment please ignore it and put it down to inexperience and naivety.
So sad that the whale was captured and penned. Also felt sorry for the German Shepherd that probably got crated and put in the cargo hold for all those flights across the country.
I was lucky enough to meet one of the performers..who appeared in the movie"Namu The Killer Whale"in NYC..years ago..before he left us..Mr.Robert Lansing.
Judy 1, 2, and 3 were babes. I hope Namu got fed top-of-the-line salmon since he was being used to make $$$. I wonder what Namu would have said if he could have spoken about being captured and used for shows and things like that. If he was used to educating people about Killer whales would that have been better?
