as they overlook all the other Human Trafficking violations thru out Bahrain, there are workers (contractors) on the base, who have had their Passports taken away from them by the employer they work for.
What's your point?
Funny how not one of the cases presented here for trafficking, pandering and or pimping these women showed a money trail or financial enrichment to the service member. The accuser, interpreter, social "activities" organizer in this story was the same person. These cases as presented by Military Times would never have seen a US court room. Non Judicial Punishment (UCMJ) would be another story for some.
Unfortunately part of the problem is cultural. Bahrain doesn't want these sailors "hitting" on their women so they allow this sex zone of bars and sexual transactions to exist to buffer the foreigners/Sailors from venturing further inland in search of local girls. You see this in Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur as well. Its all illegal, but tolerated. It would be far worse politically if a US Sailor got caught up messing with a local girl. Locals would demand a religious justice solution and the USGOV would threaten a pull out or worse economic consequences. You don't have these problems in Europe, because when the sailors got out the locals don't care if they mingle with their women.
The unvarnished truth.
So I have read a few comments asking "Why are there only black sailors shown?" or "Only black sailors, huh?". Allow me to explain as to why this seems to be the case.
In Thailand there's a pretty huge Genre of prostitutes working in the popular strips, such as, Pattaya walking street, Soi Cowboy in Bangkok or Popular strips in Phuket; prostitutes, whether male or female, account for a very tiny portion of the population yet they have a huge impact on the economy and tourism. That said, there are particular Thai women that have become obsessed, for lack of a better word, with black men. They literally compete daily on social media showing off their "Black guy arm candy" and feeling proud to have one as an accessory.
Lin Raiwest and the girls she brought and brokered are these kind of women, they are often morally depraved and ratchet, they go to extremes to drastically alter their natural looks, stuffing themselves in attempts to get "thick", inject their lips and buttock's, spend hours in tanning booths; they go to great lengths hoping to look more desirable to black men. They will accept attractive white customers but their preference is black men.
Thai women refer to these kinds of women as loving "to eat" black men, for this particular type of hoe, Bahrain and Okinawa, Japan military bases are the absolute most popular and easily accessible work destinations. Lin Raiwest is unique because she was seemingly given free reign to take over the pimp game in Bahrain, under the eye, protection and knowledge of the NCIS. She is currently back in Pattaya (not her home town) a popular coastal city, she regularly updates her FB with brag status's. From at least 2014 - 2019 NCIS allowed her to amass a fortune for herself, every girl she brokered was on the hook to pay her 6700USD, taking half of all income until it was paid off; consider the girls earn 120 per customer, lots of work to pay that fee.
They hunted black sailors in Bahrain, they are known for this, Lin herself is known in Thai night club life as someone who takes it as personal challenge to try to get black men to cheat on their Thai girlfriends or wives with her and then she posts pic evidence to the hoe groups she belongs to. They were all there hunting, extorting and entrapping black sailors. I wish these sailors did not fall for the plots of these women, some lost 20 years of career and pension over these disgustingly deceitful women, Thai women are notorious for a sweet face and honey voice, western men fall for it so easily because theyre unfamiliar with the approach.
I am married to a beautiful, clean, intelligent, believing and morally upright Thai woman, they are the majority, too many westerners come here and look for women in Thailands cesspool so they wind up with poop, 5% cannot represent the 95%. Without knowing the current trend of Thailand from the ground level, this story is difficult to fathom. Peace and love all!

Having lived in Bahrain, they would need to shut down the souvenir shops. They were fronts for prostitution.
I was in Japan from 16-18. If the public had a clue 🤣. You have to remember these kids only purpose in life is the be in the military and are finally away from the family who made that decision for them and drilled it in their head they are better dead than serving. So you think all that pressure and the 200+ hrs of work every week, they won’t have some wild stuff going on? Watch the news for 24/7 365 and tell me how your mind thinks after! It’s a big dog and pony act.
