Crazy how there are just tons of packages for £150+ and I come here and suddenly there's a free video, basic tips, no crap. Thank you so much! Definitely going to watch the rest of the series.
I just did my first practice yesterday and was looking for exactly this. It's fantastic that you took the time to share your hard work, thank you! Much more confident already.
Hey. I found QR to be muchh easier than the medify and especially ucat resources (I was getting like 300-600 when practicing and 690 on the actual QR). I found VR to be harder because the passages and answers tended to be longer so it was harder to find the key words. I found DM and AR to be around the same difficulty as medify. Lastly SJT was slightly more difficult (just by a little bit) because it was harder to know whether the answer was very important or important etc as it seemed like either could be right. Hopefully this helps 😊. If you haven't done your UCAT yet, then remember this was just MY experience and yours may differ greatly. So do as much practice as you can and good luck! 😊
Thank you for the video. The commercial courses are so expensive and your video is definitely helpful. In addition, thank you for telling us where to get our practice tests. I will watch the rest of your other videos. Thanks heaps!
Doing my UCAT exam tomorrow, feeling so awful as I figured out that I wanted to do medicine quite late so I booked my UCAT exam a day before the closing date, which was less than a week ago.
I just did my UCAT today and I got 2740 :) I can’t thank you enough for all the videos and recommendations you gave. I followed your advice and used medify for practice and your videos on time management, using the calculator and those on AR seriously helped ALOT. With your videos and medify alone my AR score managed to jump from 500 to 650 within a month! Thank you so much 💜💜💜
Da14a was each section harder or easier than medify and official UCAT resources. Because I found the quantitative reasoning really hard on UCAT website???
This video was super helpful! I made a last minute decision to apply to dentistry and now I have just under 3 weeks to learn all of this ! Currently struggling with VR and QR the most but I'm deffo going to try the tips of skipping questions and learning equations, Thanks for making this video!
Hey Heeral! GO GO GO it's definitely possible you just need to put your head down and really focus and go for it! Practice practice practice you got it! I have detailed videos on each specific section with tonnes more tips, check them out!
Thank you so much, I’ve got exactly 4 weeks to study and haven’t done any so far. Great guide, I really struggle on AR but hopefully this will help. Cheers x
@@Akira12364 😂 thanks. It is all about practice. I gave myself about 6/7weeks of revision. Initially I used the 1250 questions book to give an overview of the sections. Then I used medify (initially starting with the practice questions and the section specific mocks then closer to my exam I started to do full mocks. Don’t do full mocks at the start as it will likely make you stressed if you don’t get the results you want) and in the last week MedEntry. 100% recommend medify and MedEntry the book was good but not a necessity. If you have any other Qs don’t hesitate to ask
Im just starting preparation for my ucat. I just know these videos are going to be the saviour for stressed candidates each year. So glad for these man
I know I’m two years late 😅, but I just want to say thanks so much for the videos, your videos are one of the main reasons I got an average of 700 and Band 1 in SJT in my UCAT which I did yesterday, cheers mate.
Soljaboi Dunkon’eeem hey did you find it harder or easier than medify and the UCAT official resources? Because I found quantities reasoning really hard on UCAT official website but quite easy on medify...
Alec 64 medify is basically the same as the real thing, except for AR, the AR on Medify is much much easier than the real thing, I was getting 800 on medify whereas I got 670 in the real thing, the UCAT official website was harder than the real thing I would say, by a considerable amount, but I only did two mocks on there, I feel like if I did them all I would’ve gotten better, so defo do all of them, they are much tougher though, little late for UCAT now don’t you think 😂, I’ve started preparing for BMAT 😅, but good luck.
Soljaboi Dunkon’eeem ah right thanks for the reply. It’s not too late for UCAT yet. I’ve been preparing for like 3 weeks and I’ve got it booked for 30th. I’m glad you think the UCAT official website is harder because I find it bloody impossible.
Hi, just wanted to ask, how long did you study for and do you have any tips for AR because that's my worst section. I'm using medify too but I'm scoring bad on AR.
Thank you! A lot of very useful information and just in time. I think videos of example questions and your thought process while answering will be really helpful please!
Hey Chidera, I have already posted one for Abstract Reasoning! Click on my channel name to check it out :) I'm editing a video on a different topic right now, but after that, I will post another UKCAT Section. What section would you like to see?
Kharma Medic ehm... atm all of them!! And I watched the AR reasoning one, I loved it!! That’s why I’m impatient for you to post all.. my exam is in exactly a month from today and I’m a bit nervous 😅
thanks for the advice, got mine on 18th August. Funnily enough verbal reasoning is by far my best section and my others are weaker, which is not only contrary to your results but also most of my friends.
From my experience of the UKCAT and MCAT, excelling in verbal is hugely beneficial. It's the section that's hardest to learn. The other sections are easier to get better at with practice. Good for you!
Hey Emma! That's exactly what I was aiming for! I wanted to make a very concise summary of everything you need to get started on the UKCAT, and in video format, so it would be more engaging! Thank you for your lovely comment and I hope others can find it first before paying for an online course!
I find it really hard to find the keywords in the passage and I feel like I'm not improving at all regardless of how much practice I do. I did one of the diagnostic tests on medify and got 530 on average with AR being my lowest and I'm starting to lose hope at this point because I really want to get a score in the 700s if possible.
I did my first Verbal Reasoning Practice Exam before watching all of your UCAT videos. At first I got 570, but after (on another set of questions) I got 660 :)
I ain't belong to medical field but in India we've entrance exams for management programme which is widely known as CAT. We've same subjects except situational judgement. Your tips really motivated me alot. I've 5 months more to take the exam. The keyword in your video is "PRACTICE" which I'm relatively taking away from this video. Thank you 🌼
i'm 14, why am i here already lol! nothing wrong with starting early i suppose. these videos are a huge help, ill definitely come back to them when im about to do the UKCAT in the future c:
This is undoubtedly the best video I have watched so far. After this video, I don't think I need tutorial class. Can you please suggest the best book or the best publication to prepare for UKCAT? Thanks ❤
Hey, thank you so much 🤗 I have many more UKCAT videos on the channel on the specific sections if you want to to check those out! And I used the UKCAT 1250 questions book on Amazon 😊
Thank you sooo much for your videos. I ended up getting 2750 and Band 1 despite getting below 2400 in every practice test 😊. VR let me down on the actual day but your videos helped me improve QR which helped my overall score. Practicing was sometimes upsetting so thank you for your tips and reassurance.
@@beepbobeep4594 Aw I’m glad to help😊. I completelyy understand how you might be feeling. I remember doing so badly on a practice test the day before my exam which was so discouraging but the exam on the actual exam day was a bit easier. I hope that’s your case too. I know it’s easier said than done, but try not to panic too much on the day and don’t go into the exam expecting to do badly like on the practice tests as that may psych you out. I wish you the best of luck🤞🏾🤞🏾 and you’ll know more than you think you do!
This video is so helpful, I now feel like I may be capable of getting into medicine! I have been considering doing a course for the UCAT but UCAT is still fairly new in Australia and I fear the courses might not be as helpful, I will be buying the 1250 UKCAT book, fingers crossed. I'm really scarred of the quantitative section> maths horrifies me and my math teacher in senior year sucked! Dropped the unit in year 11/12 (2015). Suggestions for improving maths? thanks for making such an informative video!
Hey! Yeah you definitely can it just needs practice 😁 for maths practice practice practice.. get used to using the on screen calculator, improve your mental maths, and memorize some of the frequently used equations!
Just practice, practice, practice. And if you don't know, don't waste time, guess and move on. Practice Abstract Reasoning and remember the rules as they will come up, you can score very highly in that by doing so.
trust me its never too late, dedicate as much time as you can to doing practice questions and reviewing where you messed up. try using a stopwatch to time each question to get you up to speed.
I have my UCAT exam tomorrow, and from the Practice Tests on the Official UCAT website (Practice Test A, for example), it looks very hard. I have enrolled with Kaplan and done a significant amount of practice, but the official UCAT Practice Tests look quite a bit harder. I am now wondering if the actual test will be of the same, or similar, calibre. Additionally, when flagging questions for review, I tend to forget their heirachy on which I should attempt first once I’ve completed all the easier questions and am going through my second pass of the exam. Also, the on-screen calculator seems quite inconvenient. I would appreciate a quick reply addressing all of my concerns as my exam is in less than twenty four hours already!
I’m one of the top scoring students, for English, at my high school (final year). I’m terrified of verbal reasoning because I absolutely despise the layout of what are basically comprehension questions...Not to mention the time pressures. However, I’m awful at even the most basic of maths.
Honestly there are sections I was really worried about, but watching this was really reassuring. Good luck in your studies, and thank you for the tips!
I only got 2760 points (average 690) and band 3, I feel like this is really really crappy. I really want to apply the top unis like Bart's Queen Mary, but now im not sure if I would get an offer from them anymore... Is there any advice anyone could give me with regards to this?
Thank you so much. This video involves such great advice, i find myself coming back to it whenever i want to refresh my memory. For the VB section (the reading comprehension questions), do you recommend reading the whole passage or using the key work approach? PS, your study notes are awesome as well ^^
Hey Julas thanks so much :) I've answered this a couple of times in private messages but basically, when I did the UKCAT I did the keyword approach but I don't think it worked too well for me. If i had to do it again I would go for reading the whole passage quickly but actively enough that when I read a question I could jump back to the relevant part. It really depends on the person though so I would recommend trying out multiple techniques and seeing what works for you! I'm happy you could read the notes haha!
Hey Simran glad you liked it! The day before your UKCAT or any big exam or interview you really want to make yourself as relaxed as possible. For some people this means not looking at their books at all (whatever you have studied you already know and is there, no need to stress yourself out on the last day), for others this means glancing over their notes in the morning/afternoon to make sure they still remember everything and then taking the evening off (the category I fall into), and others like to cram cram cram up until they sleep! Whatever will make you feel the most comfortable is what you should do! What I like to do is to have previously made a list of the most important things you definitely want to go over and see the day before your exam, have a leisurely look through those up until the afternoon and then spend the rest of the day unwinding and relaxing! You want to have as little nerves as possible and not be stressed before you take your test! Hope that helps!
URGENT HELP: just wondering in your section about situational judgement you said we should address problems immediately, but in a practice UCAT question I had to judge the appropriateness of whether I should wait until Amy (a person who makes an inappropriate joke that upsets their friend Marek) leaves so that I can ask Marek how he felt about the joke. I though it would be appropriate but not ideal to wait for her to leave but the answer said it was very appropriate to wait for amy to leave to then ask Marek. I would really appreciate if your could reply as this question has been burning my brain for a while now

Thank you so much. This is so clear and concise, definitely one of the best UKCAT videos I have watched.
My absolute pleasure Amrita! Share the video with your friends if they might find it useful 😊
God Bless you , this is really helpful! Congratulations on your success
This was massively helpful and reassuring, thank you! Been panicking about it, but I think these tips will really help :) :)
Hey Iz, that's great to hear! Yeah try not to worry yourself too much and just keep practicing :)
Just watched your video and have my test in 2 hours...This really helped!
GOOD LUCK! I have videos on all the different sections if you want to do a last minute brush up 😊
Thanks man, great video, hard work always pays off :)
✌🏼👊🏼💪🏼
This video helped so much! I scored 2980 today! Xx
Thank you so much, I’ve got exactly 4 weeks to study and haven’t done any so far. Great guide, I really struggle on AR but hopefully this will help. Cheers x
4 weeks is enough but you've gotta hustle! I have specific videos for each of the UKCAT sections, hopefully, they help. Good luck!
Thanks for all your help! I sat my exam last week and got a score of 3140 (VR 680, DM 780, QR 850, AR 830) and a band 1 - so very pleased
u so smart, can u please let me know how u revised
@@Akira12364 😂 thanks. It is all about practice. I gave myself about 6/7weeks of revision. Initially I used the 1250 questions book to give an overview of the sections. Then I used medify (initially starting with the practice questions and the section specific mocks then closer to my exam I started to do full mocks. Don’t do full mocks at the start as it will likely make you stressed if you don’t get the results you want) and in the last week MedEntry. 100% recommend medify and MedEntry the book was good but not a necessity. If you have any other Qs don’t hesitate to ask
@@evamanson972 thank you so much 🙏🙏
@@evamanson972wow nice! How many questions did you do per day? And also did you practice all the different subsets alternately in the same day?
Im just starting preparation for my ucat. I just know these videos are going to be the saviour for stressed candidates each year. So glad for these man
same, our year has it hard, good luck hope we both make it out successfully!
@@yaseminpsa im rooting for you!
You're so amazing you make my heart cryy.. thankyou soo muchhh❤❤
😂😂 thank you!
i have been so stressed for ukcat especially the verbal reasoning, i just hope my hard work pays off. your video was amazing you are really helpful
🙏🏼 ! Keep up the hard work
How well did you do
I know I’m two years late 😅, but I just want to say thanks so much for the videos, your videos are one of the main reasons I got an average of 700 and Band 1 in SJT in my UCAT which I did yesterday, cheers mate.
Soljaboi Dunkon’eeem I totally agree with you! The medify AR mocks are way too easy! I was getting 800s and in the real thing dropped to 660!
Hi, just wanted to ask, how long did you study for and do you have any tips for AR because that's my worst section. I'm using medify too but I'm scoring bad on AR.
I'll be doing ukcat in 2 weeks and your videos are soooo useful!! Totally recommended it to all of my friends
❤️❤️🙏🏼
Honestly I have no words to express how much i love you, you have literally made my life 100X easier
Thank you for the info. I’m a bit lost on how to prepare for this. Your info helped. ❤️
Thank you! A lot of very useful information and just in time. I think videos of example questions and your thought process while answering will be really helpful please!
Happy you found it helpful! I have one video doing that for abstract reasoning on the channel with the rest of the sections coming soon :)
Here after seeing the inspirational post that you posted today🥺🥴 So inspirational for small creators!!
I think that individual videos on each section would be really helpful!!! (maybe, you could go through your notes and some examples)
Thanks for the idea, that will be my next video! Keep an eye out :)
when are you going to post them?
:)
Happy you liked it! I'll do my best to get the next one out ASAP. Good luck with your preparation :)
thanks for the advice, got mine on 18th August.
Good for you!
thanks man. but being a little more confident with maths and pattern recognition wouldnt hurt... haha
Of course! For that do more practice and watch my videos 😉 DM video dropping tomorrow!
This is such a brilliant video, thank you so much!!
Hey no worries! There's lots of other UCAT videos on the channel if you want to have a look ☺️
Thank you so much, this video is sooo helpful!!
You are so welcome 😁
Such great tips! Love this video😊
Thank you bro I got ~2450 band 4 on my first mock with no practice been watching your videos and 2 weeks later I did another one and got ~3000 band 2
The thing I’m most nervous for! Booking it this month! 😣
Maddy Grabham me too best of luck 😁
I love you and this video you basically summed up what I paid £200 for to Kaplan to get the same information! I wish I had found your video before
Hey Emma!
That's exactly what I was aiming for! I wanted to make a very concise summary of everything you need to get started on the UKCAT, and in video format, so it would be more engaging!
Thank you for your lovely comment and I hope others can find it first before paying for an online course!
thankyouthankyouthankyou!!! doing the UKCAT next year in Shaa Allah
Hey sana no problem! Check out the detailed videos too if you want a better understanding of each section :))
Kharma Medic will do, thanks bro
Thank you, this was extremely helpful!
My pleasure ! Also cool name 😎

These videos are the best, thank you!
You're welcome!
Thank you 🌼
No problem! Good luck 🙂
I watch this video to learn. But I can't stop myself from smiling when I'm watching him. 😅 Gosh ! Lol
😅😅😅
You have been helpful bro thanks for this great video I have an exam in 5 week
I have lots of other videos to watch about the UCAT too! Enjoy
i'm 14, why am i here already lol! nothing wrong with starting early i suppose. these videos are a huge help, ill definitely come back to them when im about to do the UKCAT in the future c:
❤️
Thank you so so much. You are inspiring us 😀
i did my ucat a couple days ago and got 2750 band 1. not the best but it's ok so i'm happy
Brilliant and every helpful. Thanks!!
Thanks amaR A! Plenty more videos to come :)

ayy welcome to the family! 💪🏽
Please don’t delete this video 😭 I have to sit mine in the next 4 months before I start my foundation course
ahahah don't worry the video is not going anywhere! Good luck :D
This was very helpful!! Thanks!👍
Thanks Fran! My pleasure :D
Thank you for all your videos!!!!!!!!!
My pleasure!
this was really really helpful
This is undoubtedly the best video I have watched so far. After this video, I don't think I need tutorial class. Can you please suggest the best book or the best publication to prepare for UKCAT? Thanks ❤
Hey, thank you so much 🤗 I have many more UKCAT videos on the channel on the specific sections if you want to to check those out! And I used the UKCAT 1250 questions book on Amazon 😊
Thank you once again for your quick response. I will definitely go through all of your UKCAT related videos. ❤
This was helpful, thanks 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
It's my absolute pleasure! Do let me know if there is any specific topic you would like me to make a video on :)
Kharma Medic I do enjoy videos on life as a medical student. Maybe give an insight to your average day.
That's a great idea, I'm going to be doing a day in the life when I get back to KCL!
This is so encouraging to me. My exam is in 3 days and I’ve not been doing great at all. This is such a relief, thank you
@@beepbobeep4594 Aw I’m glad to help😊.
Amazing video.....loved it
Thank you very much, this is very useful.
😁
Just practice, practice, practice. And if you don't know, don't waste time, guess and move on. Practice Abstract Reasoning and remember the rules as they will come up, you can score very highly in that by doing so.
So helpful ! Thankyou
Okay so last time I did the ucat I got 540 and when I say all your advice was so spot on like a sis got 650 and a band 2!!!
a week to go to my UKCAT and im now wondering how to squeeze 4 weeks of study into 1 :'((( i think ive figured out that im a bit late
trust me its never too late, dedicate as much time as you can to doing practice questions and reviewing where you messed up. try using a stopwatch to time each question to get you up to speed.
Mr kharma I got 2850 UCAT
Thanks for video.
The actual exam is easier than the official mocks!! Good luck 😁
Kharma Medic How much easier? Is there a significant difference, or is it only slightly easier? I have mine in a few hours now.
I’m one of the top scoring students, for English, at my high school (final year). I’m terrified of verbal reasoning because I absolutely despise the layout of what are basically comprehension questions...Not to mention the time pressures. However, I’m awful at even the most basic of maths.
I chose neet in comparison to ucat
But I'm sure that I'll choose PLAB in comparison to neet pg or usmle 😭😭❤️❤️
What would the answer be to the AR question at 7:41 and why?!?! Someone please help i cannot do these questions
I went with Box A
Honestly there are sections I was really worried about, but watching this was really reassuring. Good luck in your studies, and thank you for the tips!
this was amazing
Is it mandatory to know the conversions of measurements at 6:10?
They might give them to you but they might not. Good to know!
love this informative video
I love that you love it!
I only got 2760 points (average 690) and band 3, I feel like this is really really crappy. I really want to apply the top unis like Bart's Queen Mary, but now im not sure if I would get an offer from them anymore... Is there any advice anyone could give me with regards to this?
thank you so much for your help
omg great video thank you
You got it! 👻
Kharma Medic ooh I see, thats what i have bene trying as well.
I guess practicing is the best approach
Thank you. X
Got 720 avg, thanks so much for saving my life
Thank you so much!!!
you're most welcome!
Thankyou so much xx
when is the best time to practice for the UCAT like i’m in year 12 and i have no idea what to do
Hi Nasir, Thanks for the video it rly helped :). Do you have any advice on what to do on the day before your UKCAT exam?
Kharma Medic That rly helped, thanks a lot 😊
Wow, thanks!
You're welcome! More UCAT videos coming Thursday ☺️
Question, studying at university of Toronto, did you ever get the chance to meet Jordan Peterson? The legend himself?
did it today and got 777.5 average :)
yess buddy let's go!! WELL DONE 😄😊🎊💃🏼🎉
Thanks man , hoping to go to Southampton.
I got an interview there but didn't attend it! Good luck :D
I'm doing it today, wish me luck (and tell me all your secrets!)
GOOD LUCK! and just whisper 'kharmaMedic' over and over again before you start and you are guaranteed a good score 😉 *disclaimer: I'm not a magician*
Would you advise learning to speed read for the verbal reasoning section with subvocalising or would you suggest something else
Thanks!
I would really appreciate if your could reply as this question has been burning my brain for a while now
My ucat is tomorrow!!! I am terrified😖😱
Good luck
