As a DevOps Engineer, I can say this is the best video who gives you a real working scenarios of jira. Thanks Abhishek.
Thanks Kalyan 🙏
I don't know what to say you are doing absolutely everything from scratch.
All your love and support 😎
Hi Abhishek Veeramalla, Do you remember me. once upon a time, I asked you to do this Jira. now fulfilled about this video. thank you
Hi 👋 .. Yeah it is long tim pending one 😅
Couple of corrections -
9:33 - 1) It is not only for DevOps team. JIRA is a general concept with a general process with all the teams. 2) The team doesn't have any say in setting priority of the stories/issues/bugs. Only the scrum master in collaboration with the product owner sets the priority.
26:30 - 1) Though it is right that theoretically the story points are meant to be in order of a Fibonacci series, practically all the integers are acceptable as story points. 2) Story points do not necessarily indicate the complexity of a story/task. It is a measure of the effort needed to complete the story. Scrum masters decides how much of effort (typically in person-day(PD), meaning 1 resource working for 1 working day) maps to 1 story point. For eg, 1 story point = 1 PD, or 1 story point = 1.5 PD etc. Based on this, the developer accesses how much of effort (in PD) he/she needs to complete the story, divides the effort with the denominator of story point unit and comes up with the story point for the story.
Kudos to @abhishek and santhosh...

Great session and very informative Abhishek for bringing in experts in JIRA and Project management. Very helpful video for freshers. Thank you for all the hard work.
I have 11 years of experience in IT. I came back here to revisit JIRA deployment from DevOps perspective.
however, I learnt (revisited) about Project management, Jira tool and confluence and revisit about Project, Backlog, Backlog refinement ceremony [ Backlog grooming of User story], Sprint planning ceremony [assigning US with Estimated points, capacity planning], Reports, Sprint. Great learning experience.
Most welcome

Sir could you do another video on this only...like what are the most common issues we will get in real time ...how we trouble shoot those....
I hope it will helpful to us sir...
Once again thankyou so much sir
Hi 👋.. Please perform the demos that we are did in devops and aws series.. while doing the demos you will run into the issues and they are same as real time issues
@@AbhishekVeeramalla sure sir.... thanking you for reply sir
Wonderful content annaya tq alot annaya😊
😎
So basically, we are taking issues based on Complexity, not Priority!
As discussed here, like we are taking 25 points in a Spring! and all the stories have a Fibonacci number up to 13(generally), so we can take stories like 13 + 8 +3 +1 = 25. Here will we consider any high-priority stories or only complexity matters?
I guess story points is something which represents number of days/hours or it is estimation of the time that we are going to take to complete the task and priority of the task can be monitored by other options in jira where you can assign it as high normal critical.
In general, story points represents the complexity of the story in some companies teams might use story points in terms of time/days but it is a wrong practice
@@AbhishekVeeramalla thanks for ur support and helpfull for video bro
Anna open source projects ki contribution ela cheyali from scratch nunchi oka video cheyandi anna please
Thankyou so much sir 💯❤️ DevOps king ❤️💯
😊
Hi abhishek. Can u plz make a vedio on elk.
Ok sure , in future
Hi Abhi,
So when you talk about story point - it’s more or less validating the complexity of the issue and giving the number accordingly right!
Yes , I explained that in the video.. if you watch till the end
WOW i really want help like this way like real enviroment. God bless you are the best in the world. I am so depressed about my study now i clear my all confusions.
Hi Abhishek, excuse me but i'am still a little bit confuse with the difference between Scrum and JIRA
Jira is a tool and scrum is a process. Jira is just used as a tool to implement scrum
Thanks a lot. Perfect
You're welcome!
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Hi Abhishek, there is a small correction a person can't create user stories in all the Jira boards initially they need some privileges to create user stories on Jira boards and top-level management will create Epics and user stories will basically created by engineers or testers and so on.
Hi , Santosh clearly mentioned that u need access initially. Thanks
@@AbhishekVeeramalla ok Thanks I think I have missed that point and sry about that
useful content
Thanks alot
how implementation happens from lower environment to production for scrum
HI Sir, please upload a interview video of openshift engineer
VELOCITY means the daily capacity of a resource based on their expertise in the field and pace with which they're able to work?
Velocity is average of how many story points a team is completing in sprints .. it will help in understanding how many story points to pick in the sprint
very informative video .
Hi Abhishek,
Can you plz explain about production support roles..and how the opportunities available in the market..
Ok
It will be better if you explain in simple language instead of using typical technical words which are not familiar for beginners/ non - IT aspirants. It's really hard to catch the concept.
Daily learning new thing.
Glad to hear it!
