Should be on Northampton Motorsport's chassis Dyno.... That's who Millington's use.
10 hp extra.... Means nothing
The Donegal International Rally 2021 is waiting patiently on you Frank!
can't wait to see you banging it through the gears 👍
Fookin Awesome Mate ! Crazy !
Morning from the isle of man 👍🇮🇲
Fantastic vid
Gud vid
What sort of tool gives a thumbs down to this??
Top job as always,
There are no thumbs down so far, Fri 22 Jan at 22.11 hrs
That's got a nice torque band, very usable.... why does it have that dip at 4000 rpm ?........A long way from trying to guess what jets to screw into a set of Webbers or Delortoes ...
Sounds sharp
Yip been waiting on this 🙌
Indicated rev limit. 8600. Audible rev limit 1 Million 😍😍😍
What is a Simpson stepped 4-2-1 exhaust manifold? Does it have anti-reversion properties?
Put baby blue on kill tune then sit back & watch the mad man & lauren do there work 😁👍... Hope this rona is sorted out & baby blue can get to play this year frank m8 👍 stay safe all the best to u & lauren & family m8.👍👊💪
Great stuff. But still hasn't a patch on the sound of a 2.0 bda _bdg on rolling Road Steve bannisters
ruclips.net/video/axcqTKZwg6I/видео.html This yb spin more than millington and bda...
So what is the main difference between this engine spec and your old one ?
A lot of stuff that you’d need to talk to Millington about 😛
Has that got a stand flywheel with a 7-1/4" clutch on that?
Correct on the clutch size (twin plates)
Flywheel isn’t much bigger.
This seriously needs a headphones warning
Is Ur car a Millington 2.7 or a 2.5 and how much power
2.5. That’s the maximum we are allowed on Irish rallies.
360bhp and 265lbs torque
I met u a few times the last time was at the cork 20. At the start of the inch stage i had a sign saying good luck to ye and i had my gokart out there too and then ye put a hat under the gokart thanks 👍 so much for the hat. Hope ye had a good Xmas 🌲
Proper engine dyno or a chassis dyno guestimator?
Well. Its in the video which you can see is a chassis dyno measuring the torque at the wheels and then calculating bhp at wheels and then estimating flywheel. The actual numbers aren't important. The dyno is a tuning tool. As long as it can be reliable and easily recreate the same numbers from run to run the actual number doesn't matter. You just make sure the shape of the curve and the run on run comparisons show you got the best from the car. The engine out dyno gives you a more accurate figure but it doesn't necessarily give you a better tune as the chassis dyno gives you the engine in its exact environment of competitive use. The engine dyno isn't always so easy to do that.
What engine is the Millington Diamond based on?
It was originally based on a Cosworth, but now it’s a completely bespoke engine.
@@FrankKellyRallying I thought there was a Pinto/Cosworth connection.
@@chrishenniker5944 Warrior and Millington used to do Pinto 205 blocks with Cosworth heads, both moved to bespoke 16v heads, then Warrior got bought up and they still offer engines using their own head's and bored pinto 205 blocks on Arrow cranks etc, Millington went on as before and wwalked the extra mile with a bespoke block as well.
@@ToreDL87 I thought it would be Pinto based.
@@chrishenniker5944 Yeah they probably saw the OEM Ford block's weakness and just wanted to be rid of it.
Those things have thin castings, the 205 block was a bit thicker and allowed for 93mm bores, so around 2.4-2.5L if I'm not completely off the mark here, which is what the Warrior engine in Mckinley's Escort used.
Millington had a chance to improve on the 205's shortcomings, and with their bespoke aluminium design can build up to 2.8L without compromising rigidity.
It's an all new design from what I can tell, 300+bhp N/A's are expensive to build so might as well go with newer designs, Cosworth's are comparatively weak and expensive to get a hold of these days.
Shes sounding angry.👍
Sweet as a nut
