    The more research I do on boots and try on different pairs, the more I’m amazed by the price of Burton boots. They cost way more than other brands and don’t even have intuition liners or Michelin / vibram soles generally

      @alwaysgosnowboarding 6 месяцев назад

      Burtons dumped a ton of research into thier step on boots - that thier regular line up has been challanged by competitors. With burton your paying for a company who supports snowboarding, and uses responsible manufacturing. Thier mid to high end boots are solid but your right that others in similar price range just have a step up in features.

    hi just bought a pair of burton photon and not sure if they are reg or wide i was wondering if it says wide on the wide burtons ?

    I just picked up the TM2 wides. I had Burton photons non wides and they hurt my foot.
    TM2 is great on my foot, but the liner is so thick it’s leaving deep lines in my lower ankle and shin even tho I’m not tightening it super tight. Did you notice this or the need for a long break in period?

    Question: Are the footbeds wide or normal and could you replace them with say a Remind Insole?

    I'm so glad I found your video. I'll try to check out the thirty two boots. My feet are so wide and so short I can't seem to find a pair that fit length wise and width wise while giving good heel hold. My forefoot is 4.5in while only size 6.5-7 in length…

    • @shredder1982
      @shredder1982  Год назад

      Thanks!! Good luck, I hope they work out for you. If you find one that fits length wise but doesn't hold your heel in place, you can buy a heel hold kit seperately. You might need a new inner liner as well.

    The side boa on the K2 activates the blue thing, and the trick is to crank down the heel hold side boa down hard, then tighten up the boot boa up not as tight - then release the ankle boa and retighten it so it doesn’t squeeze as hard. I have the k2 darko (laces + ankle boa) and have figured it out. The Darko is a wider boot too

      I’ve just ordered the Maysis. Do you find them pretty comfy when you worked out the boa ?

    • @jokermtb
      @jokermtb Год назад +1

      @@robcottam8558 The Maysis is a nice boot - very light too. I've just bought the K2 Ender boot - it's like an upgraded version of the Darko. The side boa tightens up the internal ankle/heel clincher - its the most effective thing I've come across to reduce dreaded heel lift. Best feature I've ever found on any boot. The other boa just snugs up the boot as laces would. I've found that K2 boots ride better not super tight anyway, as you can get away with that because the ankle/heel boa clincher holds your foot down so nicely. Make sure you get the "Intuition liner" fit kit , or make your own with a sock full of rice (google how to do it yourself), and heat mold the inner liner to your foot - if you don't you're missing out on 1/2 of what the boot offers.

    Hi,
    Recently bought a ThirtyTwo-TM2's and they became pretty soft in this side spot under the upper strap of the binding.The other parts of the boots are strong , and theese boots are stiff from the box. I ride it 3 or 4 times and my question - Is it okay that this spot become soft so quickly?

    • @shredder1982

      They shouldn't soften up so quickly, I didn't think they softened up much after riding them a few times.

      I went to a foot doctor for orthotics who told me I have a 4:1 ratio for my forefoot, and my rearfoot (heel) is a normal width.
      I just measured with a tape measurer:
      Pinky toe to big toe = is over 4 inches (toes relaxed not spread), and the widest part of my foot was roughly 4 inches.

      Mine packed out noticeably. I had mine heat molded and it fit well; though according to Wiredsport I am 1-1.5 size too large. Back on the market, but likely will go with TM-2s again with the correct size.
