Really think the marketing would be better if you had the actual Mesa guys do it as before - Randall, Doug and Kris - appreciate Gibson own Mesa now but surely they can still be the face of the brand who have the respect of the community and emphasises the heritage and quality of the brand. I appreciate a lot of the change relates to succession but I do feel there should be a transition phase. Dropping in a generic rock guy from Gibson doesn't do the models justice in my view.
This guy works/worked at the Mesa Boogie Hollywood store for years. I’ve personally talked with him there for a long time and bought a bunch of stuff he correctly steered me towards. He IS a Boogie guy.
Also, he’s a person, not a robot. He’s not a “generic” guy. He works a job for a great USA amp company and is always cheerful when I’ve seen him. Chill out man.
In all honesty, very few people were excited when its bigger brethren debuted a few years ago. Why expand a line that doesn't have a lot of demand in the first place. Not saying it's a bad amp, just that it really didn't stoke consumer enthusiasm enough to warrant further investment. A few years ago the JP2C came out and everyone was over-the-moon, because it's a classic Mesa design with modern upgrades. The marketing behind that amp was amazing: make the Mark 2C+ a signature to avoid calling it a "reissue" and now you have the liberty to make upgrades to accommodate modern players needs. It would be great if they could do that with the Rectifier. Why not get some celebrity to partner with Mesa to make a modern variant of the 90's two channel Rectos that seem to be most players preference. Every time (including me) I hear people compare rectos, they prefer the older ones for tone and feel. Someone inevitably is going to mention that the multiwatt fixes many the issues people have with rectos, however in many ways it doesn't. Most players still prefer the sound, clarity & feel of the earlier models which is hard to capture with the modern variant. I know this seems like a rant, however I'm a huge Mesa fanboy, I just hope they strike the ball out of the park in a way that leaves more Recto fans happy.🙂
Dear mesa boogie, I use your products till the early 2000s. I appreciate your r&d in el84 power tubes, from the Caliber 22, to this incredible Badlander. Lots of congrats for the sound you obtain from these tubes. But now, pls, give 6L6s another chance! Lots of guitarists doesn’t need tube rectification, simulclass possibility or el84s pushed power and just want a mark-ish tone… so, after mini rectos, 25/35 marks, give us a three channels Mark V 50watts with just 2 6L6s in power section… simple and direct! Thx ☺️
The only blunder… no reverb. If you just do heavier tones not necessary but this Mesa does anything. Needs that little touch of reverb. Then you go to a filmour which has reverb but no loadbox. Seriously what the hell is going on with the guitar amp market?
@@theostragonidis7548 I like the tube driven kind and buying outboard reverb tank is as much as a whole Mesa head. It’s a bargain when they include it built in

@@clemdog76 I think putting a reverb on an amp is not really worth it - the options on the reverb will be limited and it will just feel cheap. Why buy a 2k amp just to have a 50$ built in reverb? Just came across this video again though a mail ad. This guy seems like he's trying hard to do his best, but sorry not sorry, his demos and "riffs" sound terrible. Also, these are cringy Gibson guitars ads. I'm so disappointed by the direction the brand is taking towards its marketing. Not even bringing up the Randall gate... Smh
Is there an Chance to get one at Thomann& Co... In Germany. Since the Last 2 years, ist no Mesa amp longer available in the German maket. Also the used market ist down, the customers want Mesa back in Germany.😎👍🎛️🎸🔊💪💪😎
I’m not sure whose in charge of marketing at Mesa but maybe you should release a video before the actual product. I know a couple people who already had these before any mention of it anywhere.
The guitar sounds out of tune at time mark ~2:95 to 3:20. Can someone at Mesa record a new clean sound? Too annoying listening to an out of tune guitar.
I wonder why the combo comes with a 1x12 Creamback 65 instead of V30's that are standard on the Rectifier cabs. Is that because of the open back in the combo?
I refuse to believe metal guitarist are not a significant portion of your sales. Yet, we're snubbed again by another boring dad rock demo. Coincidentally the same corny market buying tired over priced Les Pauls.
@@dougleydorite but some times too much headroom and fullness could be too much of a hassle on smaller stages. And on some situations it can be a nightmare for the sound guy to get a great FOH tone. Lower volume stages are easier to controll. But I do agree thats not too much of a volume difference between 25w and 100w, but on a crowded stage it can be too much, depending on the venue's size. Cheers.
Why do companies always do sound demos with these really niche guitars with weird pickup selections? Who buys a Mesa Badlander to use a semi-hollowbody with P90s?
Thanks Mesa/Gibson, you have officially sold me buying a Peavey 6505. These badlanders are terrible. Should have just gone with a two channel dual rectifier remake
The Boss Pedal knobs is just wrong..Bring back Doug for demos.. We don't all play atonal metal either.. I fear for Mesa going forward as class products need class all the way through..
I searched far and wide to buy a NEW 4x12 mesa cabinet in Europe. Ended up finding a 4x12 traditional one in Bulgaria (of all places). There is a shortage of mesa products in Europe.
Cab clone is the greatest!!! I play some big venues and numerous Sound guys have told me it’s the best DI they’ve ever heard. The only tiny complaint is say you want a really clean tone in channel 1 and a heavy dirt on channel 2 you have to turn the volume up on the clean channel to match the volume of the dirt channel. By the time the volumes are matched the clean channel is breaking up and now crunchy.
I don't see trading out it with my Mark V 25 mini stack, but you guys make that amp shine. Nice tones. I wouldn't mind one, that's for sure. I'd have to change the speaker out though to a Warehouse Retro 30. That Creamback still sounds muddy.
Low mids and low end in general sound like tearing paper in this review. Really disappointing, if I get the chance I Will try it in person cause this Just don't sound right
How does it sound for those of us who play guitars that stay in tune......say PRS 594 or Custom 24 ?
I'd love to know too but as Mesa is a Gibson company now, I doubt we'd know until the stores and RUclipsr demos show it off.

I stand corrected if that’s the case - I am chill but care a lot about the brand and personally I prefer the previous guys

get the synergy 2cp. Its a 2c+ preamp module that you plug into a poweramp.

Mesa amps are far superior when it comes to the EQ response and guttural delivery hands down.
