Kamala Harris-Usha Vance Get 'Spiritual Support' From Ancestral Villages 600 Km Apart In India

- Two women with a connect to India have taken centerstage in US politics...and now in their ancestral villages in India, there are prayers being offered for both sides for victory. Kamala Harris & Usha Vance, may not know it, but their are people praying for democratic or republican victory in the two villages.
Every day in a simple temple in an India's Vadluru village, Hindu priest Subhramanya Sharma prays to god for JD Vance to become vice-president of the United States.
The priest seeks blessings for the Republican politician and his wife, Usha. Vadluru, a quiet village on the banks of a canal deep in the countryside of Andhra Pradesh, is the ancestral home of Vance's wife, who will become the US Second Lady -- and the first who is not white -- if Donald Trump is elected again.
This temple is in a building once owned by Usha's family, the Chilukuris. Trump's opponent in the November election is Kamala Harris, and her ancestral village, Thulasendrapuram, is also parying for victory. Around 600 kms away from Usha Vance's village, this village is surrounded by paddy fields deep in the southern state of Tamil Nadu. The god of truth and righteousness is on the side of the Democratic Party in this year's US presidential election, according to Hindu priests in the village.A huge picture of the smiling Democrat stands at the village entrance near its main temple, a sprawling structure with a towering, decorated gate.
Community prayers began the day after President Joe Biden withdrew from the race, paving the way for Harris to ascend to the top of the ticket, and are expected to continue daily until voting day.

Usha Vance has dark circles under her eyes. She clings to JDV on the political stage; more than any other spouse. These two back the words of JD Vancer 'women should continue to stay in violent marriages, for the sake of the children". Usha needs the support of her family and her village to make better choices. Regards the children- they have been exposed to toxic environment pre-conception [Note JD Vance's comments on Mountain Dew- read the effect of sugar on sperm, cancer, dementia, mental illness, cardiovascular disease and ofcourse diabetes. BTW mountain dew contains 46 gms of sugar [11.5 teaspoons]. Usha Vance needs help and support from her family and her village.

Kamala Harris is the opposite. Women(and men as well) should not be objectified or hero worshiped. There are speeches Kamala made 15 years ago almost, indicating she is an intelligent person. Her mom lived in Besant Nagar in Chennai and was a Tamil Iyer Brahmin. Moms tend to influence daughters more than Dads, and after her parents divorced Kamala and her sister lived with their mom. Kamala had an independant streak like many Americans and went into law, rather than medicine(her mom was a medical researcher) or engineering.She had to debate a Republican, Steve Cooley, and narrowly won a district attorney race,winning more votes than him. Then she became California's Attorney general,the highest law enforcement position in the state,with the democratic party establishment's support, and from then on became one of California's 2 senators,winning her election by a landslide(California is heavily dominated by the Democratic party,and though wide swathes of rural areas in California are Republican the urban areas have millions of voters and those areas only have a few tens or hundreds of thousands at most). California's economy is so big it is the 5th biggest in the entire world. It is home to silicon valley. Kamala lived and worked somewhere around Oakland as well(I worked around Berkeley not far away but did not know that). I lived in Alwarpet andnot far from her family for many years(of course I did not know that).Strange coincidence halfway across the world, but I can relate to the Tamil and Indian American part of her background. She went to public school in California,and I went to a public college.I can relate to that as well. She went to a black college after that(Howard University?). She was heavily involved in the black community.Her dad was an African immigrant-a Stanford University professor in economics(it is America's 2nd top private university).Her mom completed her Phd at UC Berkeley(the top public college in America). She is from a high achieving family and has far surpassed any Indian American, including Satya Nadela, Sundar Picchai, and Indra Nooyi. Like Trump she is a second generation immigrant(his father was a business man from Nazi Germany's times who migrated in the 1930s or 40s)-but Trump is a crazy criminal who has avoided justice because of money and politics(and a fascist like Modi in India). Kamala is truly exceptional, and has risen to where she is out of pure merit and political savvy.
Kamala represents every Indian American's dream, to be represented by an Indian American president. Indian Americans have the highest per capita income in the US for any community, although there are lots of Indian store and restaurant workers,and walmart and supermarket workers, who are paid little. The model minority image is a myth, even though there are many managers, executives, and a couple of CEOs. Indian Americans are growing in population but mostly concentrated around San Francisco and New York. Barely six states decide the outcome of the presidential election, since they are half democrat,half republican virtually, by a few tens of thousands or even 500 votes in florida in 2000. There are many white rural, Christian voters who favor the republicans, while cities vote democratic and there is a clear urban-rural divide.

Kamala is always referred to as African American and South Asian American. She herself visited Chennai (then Madras) several times as a child. She remains in touch with her Indian aunties and uncles as well as with her Jamaican relatives. In the U.S., we can be many things all at once.
