Can't get mine to go all the way in back of my cluster yet. Came to see if there were any tips cause its not just sliding into the back. Going back at it again since no one else had this hassle mentioned. Well popped in now so good to go.
I just replaced the cable and sensor and the speedometer went from not working to jumping all over the place. Speedo gear looked to be in good condition
You can try lubricating the cable with graphite lube. However, more often than not, you'll need to disassemble the cluster and inspect the magnets within the speedometer gauge. There is a wheel with two magnets that rotates with the cable. These can become misaligned and/or dirty, thus causing the bouncing needle. -Landan Here is a video showing how to disassemble the cluster: ruclips.net/video/cZmyqrTrc0w/видео.html
Hi I have the 67 mustang and I swap the t45 transmission, wondering I can used stock cables willing work with t45 transmission? or I need any speed adapter
Hey there, We only specialize in 1979-2021 Mustangs. When it comes to fitment on early model Mustangs, you will need to check some forums or Facebook groups for more info.
I've got a 1994 Mustang GT. It's a little bit of a funny car as it uses the old 5.0 engine, but has the SN95 body. Anyways, my speedo works initially when cold, but as it warms up it starts jumping around. I think I just need to change the speedo gear? It's stock, and am not sure which speedo gear to purchase. Thanks..
Mines is making an annoying squeeking sound,i thought i fixed it by readjusting the cable on the back of the speedo and lubing the back of it but it started sqeeking again after 6 months. My clip is broken actually but i managed to get it on tight with a piece of wire between. Looks like i might just get a new cable. Is this cable at least 2 inches longer than the stock one because mines can barely reach the cluster.
Replaced my cable and speed sensor two years ago and just replaced the cable because it broke again. if i have a drill on the gear and it all hooked up the speedo it spins and registers on the cluster but when i put it into the trans and drive it doesn't register... the yellow gear inside the trans seems the be over and to the right and is secure. could it be over to far right for the gears to touch? is there anything that tells me where that inside gear is supposed to sit?

You'll need to inspect the speedometer instrumentation. There is no direct connection of the cable and indicator pointer on the cluster. The speedometer instrumentation uses a drum with magnets on it to turn a steel disk. You can take this apart and clean the magnets/disk with electrical parts cleaner. -Landan
Love you guys, really helping me educate myself so I can work on these cars and save me tons of money
😮😅😅
Good shit ! Now make a video of all the cars at lmr doing donuts it’s only right ! #keepupthegoodwork

Anyone notice the car change mid way through the install around 2 mins? It went from a 90-93 steering wheel to a 87-89 wheel. Lol
Thanks guys!!

You can replace the gear and lubricate the cable and see if that helps the jumping needle. -Landan
How does this differ for 96 mustangs? thanks!
Can you guys make a video on how to fix a loose gas pedal. Please !!
I'll make sure to let the video team know!
Put zip ties on the slack in front of the gas pedal. Just google mustang zip tie mod.

This cable is made to factory lengths. LRS-17260A is 76" long and LRS-17260B is 71 1/2" in length.
@@latemodelrestoration thanx
Nice gt performer. I had a '90 till it got stolen

You may check the internal gear inside the transmission. If the internal gear is stripped out it cannot turn the gear on the cable end.
Please make a 2 piece SSP speedo cable 🙏
Thanks for the comment. I'll forward this to our product team. -Landan
this cable work for a 2.3 automatic 1991 fox ?

I changed mine but the meter is still jumpy.. why is that?
You still may need to lubricate the inner cable if you did not do this. We do have the proper lubricant on our website if you need it. LRS-03344
@@latemodelrestoration ok thank you
Same problem here, I assumed the new cable from LMR would be pre lubricated, or would come with lube if required.
Ain't no way I'm going through all that to calibrate a speedometer.
It’s not even hard … lol basic tools and about 30 mins to take off of that
