Notice how much smoother and calmer you did everything with the Rekluse? I'd bet that if you just had the same calmness and smoothness on the stock clutch you'd make the hill almost just as easily! Granted the rekluse does help but try to just trust your clutch finger! :D
This is the video I've been waiting/looking for. Awesome Motovlog! Simple and straight to the point. Florida doesn't have the beautiful environment you have there haha. Wish I could ride with you guys man!
I'm partial to the standard pegs. The only scenario I have a problem with my pivot pegs on is downhills. It makes it a little harder to use your rear brake. I've been using them for over a year now.
i like the video... you think is better the standart cluth ? and only using the standart cluth but i'be looking the ktm 300, but i dont like the semiauto cluth oh whatever.. is look like you driving semiauto dirtbike lol
im loving these motovlogs I'm hopefully getting either a 250 free ride or a 250 xcw 2 stroke this winter I'm 13 i think 5.8-5.9 i fit my dads ktm 450 rode it yesterday:) we need more motovlogs though man race vids get boring
You gotta love the baby big bores, the 300 is probably the best bike around for a serious trail hound. They hook up like crazy, and pull so strong even when you're off the pipe. But its not the fastest bike by any means i can go considerably faster on my 250 smoker then i could ever go on the 300, for about 45 minutes. but when the fatigue sets in and its all you can do to hang on and take good lines the 300 shines. No need to worry about gear selection or working the clutch, click 3rd and let that wonderful torquey motor pull you around.
yes i find that my 250 has plenty of low end power to get me through whatever need. However the 300 is always gonna have more low end power delivery and the 250 builds revs quicker. So yes the 250 has plenty of bottom end in my opinion, but if your looking for the most low end grunt go 300
Depends on your skill level, not your height. If you're a begginer, judging by your height youd want a bigger bike though.. so probably a 125.. Rule of thumb is that a 125 two stroke is much the same as a 250 four stroke and so on.. Two strokes are half the CC but have the same power as a four stroke with double their cc's. 125 two strokes are basically as big as 250's (two and four strokes) and 450's (four strokes) and even 500cc (two stroke) - they're nearly all the exact same size.
Hello, i would like to buy a ktm exc 250 or 300, i come from a tm mx 144 and i love his engine so much .. i like a violent eruption that pushes you like a rocket without wallowing .... old school 2t ... i advise To take the 250 for more abrupt delivery and the best stretch or with a drain even the 300 can get this delivery? Which pipe does the 300 become like 250 or even 144? thanks a lot
brownoso1 as for the first question you would definitely want a 300 or bigger. The bigger the motor the less it will struggle to just let all hell break loose. However bigger bike means more weight. I don't ride dirt bikes but the few times I have I'd prefer a small 2 stroke 150-250. As for that second question I have no idea what you're talking about
No you still have to use the clutch to shift. A rekluse clutch is just like a standard clutch except you don't have to pull it in when you come to a stop which makes it a whole lot easier in the woods, and if the rps are low enough, the clutch will engage its self just like when you come to a stop.
why, private property. i do and im on a loud ass bike doing wheelies next to the road, giving people a thumbs up (while wheeling #onehanders) and they love it
They can't call the cops on you for riding on your own property...well they could call, but the cops can't do anything. You can't file a noise complaint until after a certain time in the evening anyways :)
That's soo cheesy. If I were you i'd just get the most quiet silencer on the market. And if its still too loud get a damn dr z250. Most quiet bike ever. But its heavy and slow (still fun to ride casually)
IanHowes2114 check out his RUclips channel. He's a big wyoana racer and a bent badly memeber. Surprised u don't know him, he has a Ktm 250sx in the Races

And how tall cause I am looking for a 125-250 bike I am way to big for my 105 ktm 2 stroke and I need a bigger bike I race my bike it's fun to race because I am so big on it so I can weelie very well but logs and jumps I will usally bottom out and the forks r slowly giving out so what do u suggest because I want more power so I want a 250 2 stroke but I also want a 125 I am 17 and 168lb and 6ft and tell me what I should get I have been to a dealership and I fit very well on a 125 and a 250
Really nice video, great riding.. Wish my dad would still ride with me, he claims he's too old..
Really like to watch you ride, all the lines you hit look sick
Notice how much smoother and calmer you did everything with the Rekluse? I'd bet that if you just had the same calmness and smoothness on the stock clutch you'd make the hill almost just as easily! Granted the rekluse does help but try to just trust your clutch finger! :D
You know what your torque ing about ...... I'm here all week boys
Great video!! Thanks
I just put a deposit on 2016 KTM 300XC, can't wait!!

I'm partial to the standard pegs. The only scenario I have a problem with my pivot pegs on is downhills. It makes it a little harder to use your rear brake. I've been using them for over a year now.

Yeah i fit on my dads 250 too, but i got a 125 because i'm not stupid.. 250 is way more power than you can handle.
+TheSaint nice name man

Motovlogs every week would be awesome
yeah i know i know 😉
I race open class and there is usually 30-40 riders in my class. Guess it just depends on the series you race lol
And district
Great and accurate video. i love my 250 exc
I think that's the same as the xcw, does it have a lot of bottom end?
yes i find that my 250 has plenty of low end power to get me through whatever need. However the 300 is always gonna have more low end power delivery and the 250 builds revs quicker. So yes the 250 has plenty of bottom end in my opinion, but if your looking for the most low end grunt go 300
such a badass video
when going threw the woods are you standing or sitting
what did you say at 12:23? you dab b4 you ride? dont know how you do it
You really should make a video of yourself riding a 250, or 450 4 stroke!
Sick video
is that a 90 or 91 is in the garage I had a 93 it was my first race bike and I loved it
Its a 1990 kx 250. The thing is a beast, i should make a video
What settings do you use for your GoPro?

Which rekluse clutch does he have in it
my brother has a 200 but I don't like the power hit but I think it's because I went from a 2 stroke race bike then started riding the 200

nice!!
Where in wny are you from are you near ransomville?
im between Oneonta and Binghamton
Does the 250 xcw have a lot of bottom
nope
You wouldn't have to use clutch so much if you dropped a gear lol
Is the a 1991 dirt bike in the garaged at 14:07
14:05
i was thinking 200 exc but what is the 250 like
It's more of a top end type of bike. It lives in the rpm's
What cc is that Kawasaki in you garage?
250
that would b awesome
im 15 and around 183 cm tall. What cc bike is suitable for me?
Have you ridden before?
CR500

have you ever riden in the northwest
I havent!
+IanHowes2114 i thought so you live out east, if you ever get the chance, oregon's where it's at
Would you recommend a 250 for someone who likes to do a bit of tight and technical and then go really fast.
all day dude, all day XD
What state do you live in
New York
How tall are you

I like power as much as the next guy, however I only weigh 140. So if anyone out there is wondering why I prefer a smaller dirt bike.
250 exc with red power valve spring in with the key turned in 2 turns with a pro circuit platinum pipe
so wait let me get this straight, with a rekluse clutch you can hard shift and don't have to uses the clutch
No you still have to use the clutch to shift. A rekluse clutch is just like a standard clutch except you don't have to pull it in when you come to a stop which makes it a whole lot easier in the woods, and if the rps are low enough, the clutch will engage its self just like when you come to a stop.
+ThatMotoDude well said!
+ThatMotoDude thanks for the input!
I wish i could ride on my own property but my neighbor calls the cops on me every time

yes but my neighbor has 4 horses and there is a noise limit for the animals and "disturbing the peace"
That's soo cheesy. If I were you i'd just get the most quiet silencer on the market. And if its still too loud get a damn dr z250. Most quiet bike ever. But its heavy and slow (still fun to ride casually)
i love my kx250 ,but i like my mate ktm300 2014 very easy to ride..

7:38 "I feel like i'm riding a 4t" You don't really mean that right? Heavy 450 4t in narrow trails with obstacles easy? vs rekluse 300 2t? really?
